How to set text-align center all tables in ag-grid - javascript

I have a question.
I use ag-grid in vue3.
There are several tables in each page and all tables share commonOption object.
const commonOptions = {
option: {
pagination: true,
suppressCellFocus: true,
},
columnTypes: {
dateYmdColumn: {
valueFormatter: ({ value }) => value.ymd(),
},
}
...
}
<AgGridVue :grid-options="commonOptions" />
I want to change text-align left(default) to center in all tables using commonOption object.
I can change it like this but need to change all table's code in each pages. I think it is inefficient way.
// table1 data in user.vue
columnDefs: [
{headerName: 'age', cellStyle: {textAlign: 'center'}},
{headerName: 'name', cellStyle: {textAlign: 'center'}}
...
]
I read document but can't find answer.
(Usually the answer is change css or add cellStyle in each table's columnDefs.)
Is there any way to set default text-align property?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Here is a simple solution to your issue:
headerNames = ['age', 'name'];
cellStyles = {textAlign: 'center'};
columnDefs = headerNames.map(headerName => ({ headerName, cellStyle: cellStyles }));
Besides CSS, I do not know of a way that you could text-align everything at once. Hope this helps!

How to format a list of string into columns of react bootstrap table 2 such that data doesn't flows out of actual columns

I am trying to render some data in tabular form using react-bootstrap-table but the data of one column is overlapping with the data of other columns. i wanted to keep my layout fixed and thus have added the css layout:fixed which is actually a requirement as well. But the final result is:
Actually for this column i'm getting an array of string from backend. e.g. ["DEPT","OLD","CUSTOM_FUNCTION",...] which is getting converted into a single string internally by react and i'm not sure how to further format it.
I also searched in react table docs at : https://react-bootstrap-table.github.io/react-bootstrap-table2/docs/basic-celledit.html#rich-editors but didn't find anything.
My ultimate goal is to visualize the data in a much better way like drop down or each element of array in new line within the same column expandable on some mouse click.
The above image can be considered as sample requirement where only the first element of list will be displayed on load and after clicking on arrow button it will show all the list items below one another in the same column as shown below.
I am not able to figure out which column prop will help me or whether it's even possible or not. The goal is exactly the same but a simple new line separated data will also do.
Column Definition Code:
{
dataField: 'data',
text: 'DATA',
editable: false,
filter: textFilter(),
headerStyle: () =>
{
return { width: '100px', textAlign: 'center'};
}
}
Table Creation Code:
<BootstrapTable
keyField='serialNo'
data={ this.state.data }
columns={ this.state.columns }
filter={ filterFactory() }
pagination={ paginationFactory({sizePerPage: 4}) }
cellEdit={ cellEditFactory({ mode: 'click'}) }
striped
hover
/>
Kindly help or suggest something appropriate.
Thanks

const columns = [{
dataField: 'id',
text: 'Product ID',
}, {
dataField: 'name',
text: 'Product Name'
}, {
dataField: 'labels',
text: 'Labels',
formatter: (cell) => {
return <>{cell.map(label => <li>{label}</li>)}</>
},
}];
You need to define your own formatter in order to include "complex" html inside your table cell.

Default Column are not displayed in Material Design Data Table (iamisti/mdDataTable)

I am trying to populate the <mdt-column> inside of <mdt-header-row> dynamically with an array from controller. This piece of code doesn't seem to work properly:
hide-column-by-default="c.selector_hidden"
When loading the table default columns are not displayed. Some columns are set as default and are excluded from the "column-selector", so even after selecting all columns in the selector these columns are not displayed.
When i set ...columnSelector: false}... in table-card it shows me my columns, but the functions to select column is gone!?
How can i fix this?
This is the mdt-header-row:
<mdt-header-row>
<mdt-column
hide-column-by-default="c.selector_hidden"
exclude-from-column-selector="c.selector_exclude"
column-sort="c.sort"
sortable-rows-default="c.sort_default"
column-key="{{c.key}}"
align-rule="{{c.align}}"
column-definition="{{c.definition}}"
ng-repeat="c in tableHeader"><span>{{c.name}}</span></mdt-column>
</mdt-header-row>
The Data is comming from this Array in controller:
$scope.tableHeader = [
{
name: 'Dessert (100g serving)',
definition: '',
align: 'left',
sort: true,
sort_default:false,
hidden: false,
selector_exclude:false,
selector_hidden:false
},...
I also created a fork for it:
https://codepen.io/anon/pen/JJQyKN?editors=1111
This piece of code doesn't seem to work properly:
hide-column-by-default="c.selector_hidden"
That's because you don't have a selector_hidden property in any of the objects in your tableHeader array. It should look something like this:
$scope.tableHeader = [
{
name: 'Dessert (100g serving)',
definition: '',
align: 'left',
sort: true,
sort_default:false,
hidden: false,
selector_exclude:false,
selector_hidden:true
},...
Actually the issue is whit this directive it self. I had to modify the md-data-table.js file and change "isVisible" references column to true. I as well changed the isHidden property to "isVisable" because that is what is referenced by the md-data-table-templates.js file. I modified the code further to match our requirements and therefor cannot provide specific patches. However, unfortunately this project seems to be abandoned by the developer.

Display Custom Boolean Value in Angular ui-grid

Ok, I'm new to angular and angular ui-grid.
I'm using angularjs(v1.4) with angular-ui-grid(v3.0.7).
I have defined a grid as below
seec.gridOptions = {};
seec.gridOptions.rowEditWaitInterval = -1;
seec.gridOptions.onRegisterApi = function (gridApi) {
$scope.gridApi = gridApi;
gridApi.rowEdit.on.saveRow($scope, $scope.saveRow);
};
seec.gridOptions.columnDefs = [
{name: 'pouch', displayName: 'Pouch', enableCellEdit: false, enableHiding: false, width: 250},
{name: 'content', displayName: 'Content', enableHiding: false, width: 150},
{
name: 'units',
displayName: 'Number of Items',
type: 'number',
enableHiding: false,
width: 150
},
{name: 'active', displayName: 'Status', type: 'boolean', enableHiding: false, width: 150}
];
The controller basically makes a http call and feeds data to the grid.
if (response.status === 200) {
seec.gridOptions.data = angular.copy(seec.data);
}
Currently, the last item in the grid is being displayed as either 'true' or 'false' based on the boolean field value., and when I double click on the field a checkbox appears.
So, I need to display true as 'active' and false as 'inactive'.
Is there any way of doing this with angular ui-grid?
There certainly is! One approach could be to use a cellTemplate and map your rowvalues to something different.
I created a Plunkr showcasing a possible setup.
There are two steps to take. First add a cellTemplate to your column:
cellTemplate: "<div ng-bind='grid.appScope.mapValue(row)'></div>"
Note: Instead of ng-bind you could also use "<div>{{grid.appScope.mapValue(row)}}</div>", if you are more familiar with that.
Second step is to define your mapping function, for example:
appScopeProvider: {
mapValue: function(row) {
// console.log(row);
return row.entity.active ? 'active' : 'inactive';
},
}
#CMR thanks for including the Plunkr. As I was looking at it I checked, and in this case it seems overkill to have the mapValue function.
This worked for me:
cellTemplate: "<div class='ui-grid-cell-contents'>{{row.entity.active ? 'active' : 'inactive'}}</div>"
(I added the class in there to match the other cells). I will say that this still smells a little hacky to me.
This question leads to using a function as the field itself: In ui-grid, I want to use a function for the colDef's field property. How can I pass in another function as a parameter to it?
I'd still like to see an answer with the logic directly in the columnDefs.
You can use angular filter specifying in your columnDef for a column cellFilters : 'yourfiltername:args'.
args can be a variable or a value, in that case pay attention to use right quoting. if args is a string cellFilters : 'yourfiltername:"active"'
Your filter can be directly a function or a filter name. Here a plunkr

Kendo Grid : Default value 1 in cell in inline edit mode, how to change it?

I have following config foo column in grid:
field:
actionName: {
editable: true,
nullable: true,
defaultValue: {"name" : "TEST123"},
type: "object"
},
Column:
{
field :"actionName",
title : $translate.instant('ACTIONNAME'),
width: "200px",
editor: GlobalHelperService.getActionNamesListForAutocomplete,
template: '#: data.actionName.name #',
filterable: { cell: { operator:"contains"
}
}
},
Which works almost fine, but if i clicked on cell item i always got following value (see. image below), instead of the text defined in template attribute.
How can i solve it please?
Many thanks for any advice.
It might not be the cleanest way, but you could use the edit event like I do in this blog post.
$("#grid").kendoGrid({
edit: onEdit
});
function onEdit(editEvent) {
// Ignore edits of existing rows.
if(!editEvent.model.isNew()) { return; }
editEvent.model.set("actionName", {name: "TEST123"});
}
Although as I note in that post, setting the default value with .set() might not work in this case, and you might need to edit the text in the edit box directly:
editEvent.container
.find("[name=actionName]")
.val("TEST123")
.trigger("change");

How to remove checkall option in extjs checkboxmodel?

How to remove check all option is extjs 4 checkboxmodel?
Regards
When defining a grid (in 4.2.1), set this config option to:
selModel: Ext.create('Ext.selection.CheckboxModel', { showHeaderCheckbox: false }),
(The relevant part is showHeaderCheckbox :false)
I have managed to hide it using pure CSS:
Code:
.x-column-header-checkbox {display:none;}
When you're creating your checkboxmodel, try specifying injectCheckbox: false into its configuration. From the API:
Instructs the SelectionModel whether or not to inject the checkbox header automatically or not. (Note: By not placing the checkbox in manually, the grid view will need to be rendered 2x on initial render.) Supported values are a Number index, false and the strings 'first' and 'last'.
Inside grid panel afterrender event using jquery
listeners: {
afterrender: function (grid) {
$('.x-column-header-checkbox').css('display','none');
}
}
According to API, the type of "header" property is String. Said that, the correct value is ''. It has worked for me on ExtJS 3.4
this.queueSelModel = new Ext.grid.CheckboxSelectionModel({
singleSelect : true, // or false, how you like
header : ''
});
heder:false in config or injectCheckBoxHeader = false hide the entire column. CSS solution is class based so any other widget using the same selection model would also hide the entire check.
In ExtJS 4 a header config can be provided as below to display a blank or custom text in the header.
getHeaderConfig: function() {
var me = this;
showCheck = false;
return {
isCheckerHd: showCheck,
text : ' ',
width: me.headerWidth,
sortable: false,
draggable: false,
resizable: false,
hideable: false,
menuDisabled: true,
dataIndex: '',
cls: showCheck ? Ext.baseCSSPrefix + 'column-header-checkbox ' : '',
renderer: Ext.Function.bind(me.renderer, me),
//me.renderEmpty : renders a blank header over a check box column
editRenderer: me.editRenderer || me.renderEmpty,
locked: me.hasLockedHeader()
};
},
I encountered this issue in ExtJS 4.0.7 version.
First I removed checkbox layout:
.rn-grid-without-selectall .x-column-header-checkbox .x-column-header-text
{
display: none !important;
}
Then I used the following code in afterrender listener of the grid:
afterrender: function (grid) {
this.columns[0].isCheckerHd = false;
}
It is not a good solution but it can be used as a starting point.
Thanks for all the good hints here.
For Sencha 3.4, this is the extremely simple pure CSS I ended up using,
My_Panel_With_a_Grid_Without_Header_CheckBox = Ext.extend(Ext.Panel, {....
cls: 'innerpanel hiddeGridCheckBoxOnSingleSelect',
....}
in my CCS file:
.hiddeGridCheckBoxOnSingleSelect .x-grid3-hd-checker {
visibility:hidden
}
Define {Header: false} in checkboxselectionModel
this.queueSelModel = new Ext.grid.CheckboxSelectionModel({
singleSelect : false,
header : false
});
