I have created 3 different html, css and javascript files but I am now confuse how can I interlink them and upload as a single file
Looks like you're just getting introduced to web development, these might come in handy for finding out how to bring your HTML, JS and CSS files together:
(Link JS File) - https://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_script_src.asp
(Link CSS file) - https://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_link.asp
https://www.w3schools.com/
In order to make your codes to be run by browser you need to include all your sources in one .html file. You need to link those files inside this file and there are different requirement of each file extensions to be included.
In order to link CSS file you use link element with src attribute to indicate the source of your file. Another attribute rel defines the relationship between a linked resource and the current document. In here it is stylesheet document and need to get this value.
Sample: <link rel="stylesheet" href="styles.css">
In order to link your JS file, you need to use element which is used to define a client-side script (JavaScript). You may add it internally or externally. According to your question you need to add it externally. First, add your script element and then refer to it using the src attribute in the script tag.
Sample: <script src="myJSFile.js">

To inter-link different HTML files together, you can just use Hyperlink, Hyperlinking is a feature of HTML to link multiple documents (HTML) files together. It'll show up as a button on your HTML.
Here's an example of how you can implement it. href="your-path-to-your-html"

This is my first post so I would like to say it's nice to join this community and I will do my best to help others but I'm the one that needs help right now.
--Problem
I've got problem with displaying proper styling of text retrieved from CKE with .getData(), saved into DB and displayed in article.
--When it works?
When I include this CSS:
<link rel="stylesheet" href="\js\ckeditor\contents.css">
in my base.html.twig <head> tag,this changes the css of the site.
--What do I need to do?
What I need to do to avoid conflict? or is there any method to render text without making it editable? Something like CKEDITOR.render(tagId)

Please see:

https://docs.ckeditor.com/ckeditor4/latest/api/CKEDITOR_config.html#cfg-contentsCss
If you are using classic CKEditor then its contents are held inside an iframe with a separate document. In order to style that internal document CKEditor attaches contents.css to it. Since internal styles in separate CSS files are not being saved together with HTML or merged into HTML it is important that you use same styles inside contents.css as you would like to see on your target page (where saved content will be used).
This is not CKEditor bug but simply a different approach you need to apply inside your application.
If you are creating content for different pages you can either create one large contents.css file or, in case of any styles conflicts multiple CSS files which you can load dynamically based on some logic (it will require writing some code to handle that) using contentsCss setting. Please note that in case of dynamic CSS switching you do not want to use contentsCss inside config.js file but directly in instance configuration on HTML page where you can use server-side tags to "spit out" correct configuration for CKEditor instance e.g.
var editor = CKEDITOR.replace( 'editor1',{
language : 'en',
// other configuration settings
// ...
contentsCss : [ '/css/mysitestyles.css', '/css/anotherfile.css' ]
}
You can use server-side tag which will return whole editor configuration or simply only this part contentsCss : [ '/css/mysitestyles.css', '/css/anotherfile.css' ] or even correct file paths when HTML is being rendered.
I created a plugin for some web software that doesn't natively support plugins. I found that I could inject code into the head of the plugin webpage through their GUI. Currently, users have to paste a huge block of code into the head which contains the plugin HTML, CSS, and JS all minified into one block. I'd like to instead serve this over a CDN so users could simply subscribe and receive all updates without having to repaste. It also would keep them from having to paste a large chunk of code into the tool and instead it would be a nice link.
I tried:
<link rel="import" href="~my_CDN_link~">
but it seemed to only partially work. I didn't really understand the issue, but I saw that import is deprecated so this seems like it would only be a temporary patch.
At the end of the CDN link is a text file which contains:
HTML
<script>~my_scripts~</script>
<style>~my_styles~</style>
I was hoping there is some way to just resolve this link into the text which it contains and "paste" it into the head of the document. Maybe this isn't even the approach I should be taking? Should I instead provide two links? One for the stylesheet and one from the JavaScript? The JavaScript could then make a call to get the required markup and append it to the document. I'd love to keep it as one link if at all possible.
I’m working on making my web site fade in and out every time I click a link to another page. I need to use jQuery to do this. Do I need to put the jQuery code on every page or can I write jQuery into the CSS Stylesheet? If so, how do I format the CSS Stylesheet to accept jQuery?
I’m experimenting with the code from this forum post: Fade Out between pages – CSS-Tricks
Edit to question based on comments
So, I now know that I can’t put JavaScript in CSS file. What’s the best way to put JavaScript code that applies to all pages in a site? I want to write this transition code and then not have to write/edit it into every page.
Save the JavaScript in a file with the extension .js, for example main.js. Then give it a public URL, in a similar way that your CSS files are accessible from a URL. An example URL: http://example.com/js/main.js. You might do that by putting it in a js folder in your public_html folder on your server – it depends on your server.
Then, near the end of each page’s HTML, right above </body>, add this HTML tag:
<script src="/js/main.js"></script>
The script tag with a src attribute will load the JavaScript at the given URL and then run it immediately.
I recommend putting it at the end of your <body> element and not inside the <head> because the script prevents the rest of the page from loading and displaying to the user while the script runs. If you make the script run only at the very end of the page, the page is already loaded and the user can see all of its content.
you need to do a $.fadeout on the window.beforeunload event, bye
PD: in a js file, not in a stylesheet, you can´t use JS in a stylesheet. bye.
So... Just so you have less reasons to call me an idiot, here's why I need this:
I'm currently working on an offline project that uses jruby. So, to generate reports on the fly, it was decided (by my superiors) to use JavaFX's WebView component - so, HTML, CSS and JS.
But here's the catch: no using file system. All the content is drawn from DB and generated on the fly. No internet either. So all the content to be loaded into the WebView is to be in a single file, however enormous.
I have an HTML page and two huge files - one js, one css. When I use <link> tag for css and <script src="..."> for js - all works. Both in a browser and if I artificially load the page into a WebView. But if should I copy-paste the files into corresponding <style> and <script> tags (as it, probably, will be handled in the program), half the things do not work. Is there a special way for doing it right?
Here are the html, css and JS I'm working with (html is filled with sample data so it can be seen if everything works):
html filecss filejavascript file
You could try and merge them. Read more about this here.
So I'm looking to take HTML code for a slideshow and insert it into an HTML box for an app.
However, obviously the .js and .css dependencies need to go with it, or else it won't function properly.
Is there a way/program that allows me in VS to take those classes and insert them within the HTML file so that they are all read at once, and the slideshow works? Ideas?
Thanks,
D.
Use external files to allow the browser to cache them. Put the reference to the external files in your master page.
