How to update a value in a complex fhirBundle JSON? - javascript

Given a bewildering fhir document like https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Notarise-gov-sg/api-notarise-healthcerts/master/test/fixtures/v2/pdt_art_with_nric_unwrapped.json
I need to update the part the JSON from { "id": "NRIC-FIN", "value": "S9098989Z" } to { "id": "NRIC-FIN", "value": "foobar" } and then emit the whole JSON again with that change.
I just about know how to access the value.
const fs = require("fs");
let rawdata = fs.readFileSync("pdt_art_with_nric_unwrapped.json");
let art = JSON.parse(rawdata);
let nric = art.fhirBundle.entry
.flatMap((entry) => entry.resource)
.find((entry) => entry.resourceType === "Patient")
.identifier.find((entry) => entry.id === "NRIC-FIN").value;
console.log(nric);
Though I am puzzled how to update this value since it's so difficult to access. Am I missing a trick? I don't want to use regex btw!

You seem to be very close - why not just set .value using the syntax you already have...?
const fs = require("fs");
let rawdata = fs.readFileSync("pdt_art_with_nric_unwrapped.json");
let art = JSON.parse(rawdata);
let nric = art.fhirBundle.entry
.flatMap((entry) => entry.resource)
.find((entry) => entry.resourceType === "Patient")
.identifier.find((entry) => entry.id === "NRIC-FIN").value = 'foobar';
console.dir(art.fhirBundle.entry)
... results in:

... clearly showing foobar set as you seem to desire. (Feel free to test with this Repl.it).
To "emit the full JSON" again you would just re-stringify it:
let fullJSON = JSON.stringify(art);

Instead of traversing the object manually you can use library like Jsonpath:
function replace() {
data = JSON.parse(data);
jsonpath.apply(data,
'$.fhirBundle.entry[?(#.resource.resourceType == "Patient")].resource.identifier[?(#.id == "NRIC-FIN")].value',
function(value) {
document.body.innerHTML += `value=${value}<br>`;
return 'foobar';
});
document.body.innerHTML += `updated JSON:<br> <pre>${JSON.stringify(data, undefined, 2)}</pre`;
}
let data =

If you are flat out replacing values without any other logic, and in case if you decide to use RegEx, then you can use String.replace().
let data =
`{ "identifier": [

}
}`
let targetId = 'NRIC-FIN';
let find = new RegExp(`(?<=${targetId}.*value":\\s*").*?(?=")`, 'ig');
data = data.replace(find, 'foobar');;
document.write(`<pre>${data}</pre>`);
Note: In the regular expression, I have used i flag for case insensitive search. Used g flag to replace all occurrences of the id. If the id is unique and there is going to be only one occurrence in entire .json file then don't use g flag.

Here is the JavaScript code I have used in google app script but it is showing error. I know it is totally wrong
var data = {data: parseData.data.map(({actions, ...rest}) => ({...rest,...Object.fromEntries(actions.map(({action_type, value}) =>[action_type, value]))}))};
console.log(data);
Output should be like the following way so that I can get all the data in objective
{

You can try the code below, but it only works if adcreatives.data and insights.data have only 1 element :
let part = data.data.map(item => ({

}));
let result = {

access values of an object javascript

I am a beginning in javascript. So i have this data with the basic structure like so...
{
"status": "active",
"experimental": false,
"expansion": {
"extension": [
{
"valueBoolean": true
}
],
"contains": [
{
"system": "http://snomed.info/sct",
"code": "8989938493",
"display": "Acute"
},
{
"system": "http://snomed.info/sct",
"code": "889080980089",
"display": "Chronic"
},
{
"system": "http://snomed.info/sct",
"code": "889080980089",
"display": "Fragile"
}
]
}
}
I want to iterate over "contains" and put the values of "display" in an array so i can use it in a react component. I am currently struggling to achieve that. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
You can use the map function to transform an array:
const myObject = {
"status": "active",
"experimental": false,
"expansion": {
"extension": [
{
"valueBoolean": true
}
],
"contains": [
{
"system": "http://snomed.info/sct",
"code": "8989938493",
"display": "Acute"
},
{
"system": "http://snomed.info/sct",
"code": "889080980089",
"display": "Chronic"
},
{
"system": "http://snomed.info/sct",
"code": "889080980089",
"display": "Fragile"
}
]
}
}
const arr = myObject.expansion.contains.map(({display})=>display)
console.log(arr)
let res = [];
const obj = {
"status": "active",
"experimental": false,
"expansion": {
"extension": [
{
"valueBoolean": true
}
],
"contains": [
{
"system": "http://snomed.info/sct",
"code": "8989938493",
"display": "Acute"
},
{
"system": "http://snomed.info/sct",
"code": "889080980089",
"display": "Chronic"
},
{
"system": "http://snomed.info/sct",
"code": "889080980089",
"display": "Fragile"
}
]
}
}
obj.expansion.contains.forEach(el => res.push(el.display));
console.log(res)

I am just getting the name in here. Can someone please help me how to get Name, Node Name and Phase Values? find the below JSON as well.
Thanks, Much Appreciated
You were close with the code you posted. You just needed items[0] instead of items[1]. Remember the first element of an array is always 0. Other than that its as easy as checking the open and close brackets [] or {} to see where each nested object/array starts and ends.
Code:
var name = data.items[0].metadata.name
var nodeName = data.items[0].spec.nodeName
var phase = data.items[0].status.phase
snippet:
var data = {

Search a Javascript Object for the position of a specific ID? [duplicate]

This question already has answers here:
Find by key deep in a nested array

Closed 4 years ago.
I have a Javascript object with lots of different sections. How can I search through all of the sections to find the position of a specific ID? The ID's that I am searching for are not in a specific location, and can be located in any of the tree branches.
For example, I am searching for this ID:
xobmnbjxg0g_1527269346261
And I am trying to output the position of that ID, which would be this:
app['structure'][0]['if-children'][0]['id']
My Javascript Object:
var app = {
"structure": [
{
"id": "0",
"type":"IF",
"parameters": [
{
"id": "xobmnbjxg0g_1527269346260",

Interesting puzzle/question.
pretty sure there are some edge cases im missing but this seems to pass some tests.
function is(obj, type){
return Object.prototype.toString.call(obj) === `[object ${type}]`;
}
function findPosition(obj, mykey, myval, res){
if(is(obj, "Object")){
if(mykey in obj && obj[mykey] === myval){
res.tree.push(mykey);
res.found = true;
} else {
for( let key in obj){
if(res.found) break;
res.tree.push(key);
findPosition(obj[key], mykey, myval, res);
}
if(!res.found) res.tree.pop();
}
} else if(is(obj, "Array")){
for(let i = 0; i < obj.length; i++){
if(res.found) break;
res.tree.push(i);
findPosition(obj[i], mykey, myval, res);
}
if(!res.found) res.tree.pop();
} else {
res.tree.pop();
}
return res;
}
Usage and output
findPosition([{one: { two: [{id: [{id:'my'}]}]}}], "id", "mys", {tree:[], found: false})
> tree: Array(0), found: false}
findPosition([{one: { two: [{id: [{id:'my'}]}]}}], "id", "my", {tree:[], found: false})
> {found: true, tree: [0, "one", "two", 0, "id", 0, "id"]}
For finding if current obj you are iterating over is an Array you can also use Array.isArray

Nested Should query(OR) inside a Must query(AND) in elastic Search

I have elastic Search data in following format:
{
"is_cricketer": 1,
"name": "Abraham",
"cities": [
{ "name": "stellenbosch" },
{ "name": "Nelspruit" },
{ "name": "East London" }
]
},
{
"is_cricketer": 1,
"name": "Abraham",
"cities": [
{ "name": "Rustenburg" },
{ "name": "Nelspruit" },
{ "name": "East London" }
]
},
{
"is_cricketer": 0,
"name": "deVilliers",
"cities": [
{ "name": "Cape town" },
{ "name": "Nelspruit" },
{ "name": "East London" }
]
}
I need to query elastic search to get all the profiles with is_cricketer = 1 and an OR query over the field for cities.name and name field. ie
( profile.is_cricketer == 1 && (profile.name == 'Abraham' || profile.cities[i].name == 'Nelspruit' ))
To get the profiles with OR query on the fields cities.name and name field for matching query string is as follows and it works a expected:
"should": [
{
"nested": {
"path": "cities",
"query": {
"multi_match": {
"query": "Nelspruit",
"fields": [
"cities.name"
]
}
}
}
},
{
"multi_match": {
"query": "Abraham",
"fields": [
"name"
]
}
}
]
And the Must query to get all the profiles with field is_cricketer = 1 is follows:
{
"must": {
"match": {
"is_cricketer": "1"
}
}
}
Above both queries working fine and i am trying to combine both query as follows:
{
"query": {
"bool": {
"must": {
"match": {
"is_cricketer": "1"
}
},
"should": [
{
"nested": {
"path": "cities",
"query": {
"multi_match": {
"query": "Nelspruit",
"fields": [
"cities.name"
]
}
}
}
},
{
"multi_match": {
"query": "Abraham",
"fields": [
"name"
]
}
}
]
}
}
}
which is not returning expected results, its returning all the profiles with is_cricketer = 1 without filtering for name and cities.name.
I also tried to include the should query inside must query as follows:
{
"query": {
"bool": {
"must": [{
"match": {
"is_cricketer": "1"
}
}, {
"should": [
{
"nested": {
"path": "cities",
"query": {
"multi_match": {
"query": "Nelspruit",
"fields": [
"cities.name"
]
}
}
}
},
{
"multi_match": {
"query": "Abraham",
"fields": [
"name"
]
}
}
]
}]
}
}
}
But i got following error for the above query:
"Error: [parsing_exception] [should] query malformed, no start_object
after query name, with { line=1 & col=64 }

How to combine both the queries to get desired result. Any help will be appreciated.
if you want a should query inside a must you can use it in the following way
{
"query": {
"bool": {
"must": [
{
"bool": {
"should": [
{
... your query here
}
]
}
}
]
}
}
}
This worked for me on ES 6.0.
