Hllo Guys, I'm having a bit trouble with testing my component
The problem is that I would like to test my React Native Component that uses saga to fetch data from server.
The Problem is that I do know what I'm supposed to do, I think I should mock my API calls in my test file but I do not know how :/
The component file is really simple, when mounted it dispatches action to fetch list on vehicles, and then it shows them in UI. And until that is fetched it shows loading text

Like I see above I cannot find element with testId flat-list, since component AppScreen it always show loading text, is there any way I could mock that API call and make this to work ?
Jest allows you to mock any module using jest.mock.

I'm working with React Testing Library. The problem I have is that fireEvent doesn't trigger, and the error throws, is following:

For this particular test do I need to work with #testing-library/react-hooks? Do I need to render my Product component wrapped on context provider where the function is imported from?

I advise you to create Button Component and test it separately like this:

One way to accomplish this is to mock ContextWrapper, as your test is specifically referring to Product component.

In this line jest.spyOn(ContextWrapper, 'useProducts').mockImplementation we are mocking useProducts return value and setting the handleAddToCart function to your mockFunction and that's how you can check if it has been called.
* This test is strictly focused on Product component and you just want to garantee that the component calls the handleAddToCart function from ContextWrapper.
For test how handleAddToCart should work, you can create a specific test for the ContextWrapper.
I have the following problem: I use a fatch API to get all the products I have registered in my database (mongodb), then I store the result in a slice called products-slice which has an array as its initial state empty. Until then everything is in order. As I need information the time the homepage is loaded, I use the useEffect hook to fetch the products I have registered. Then I pass this array as props to a component, and make a map. The problem is that when the component loads, the information is not local.

So , Basically I am new to react and I am stuck in situation where I want to fetch more data from an API with sending page numbers when I click on button, everything works perfectly i am getting data and everything but the main issue comes when I click on of items it show the details of the game by rendering another component but when i close it and try to fetch more data by clicking on next button it doesn't work and doesn't update the redux store state anymore. and if don't open the detail by clicking on game item it works perfectly the redux store state changes and everything. i am new to this so i will appreciate everyone who can help me with it and hope i learn new things and please let me know if i have done anything wrong in my code or there's a better way to do it i will also appreciate that.

I'm using react context & axios interceptors to hide/show a loading spinner. While it does hide and show correctly when requests and responses are fired, my loading spinner is only showing at the start of a network request. The request fires and then goes into a 'pending' status. During the 'pending' status, the response interceptor is fired and hides the loading spinner.
How can I make sure the loading spinner stays visible during the pending requests?
I tried adding some console logs to fire when the requests, responses, and errors were returned including the count, and it showed it (for two requests) to successfully go from 0 - 1 - 2 - 1 - 0, but in the chrome devtools network tab showed as pending even though all requests were returned.

I think a more standard approach would be to just utilize the loading state to conditionally render the Spinner and the result of the promise to remove it from the DOM (see demo below). Typically, the interceptors are used for returning the error from an API response, since axios defaults to the status error (for example, 404 - not found).

the issue I have is that 'setWarning' doesn't update the state, it does get called as I have a debugger inside the action and the reducer but the actual property doesn't not change to 'false' when:
props.setWarning(false);
gets called.
I use the following to trigger the custom modal:

To test this even further I have added 2 buttons in the application to toggle 'isWarning' (the state property I am talking about) and it works as expected.
I think that although WarningModal is connected in actual fact it isn't.

You have to dispatch the actions in the action creator and the type of the action to dispatch should be always string.
Try this
