Using d3 curvestep for a hierarchial structure - javascript

I am trying to build something similar to a hierachial structure using D3 and i am fairly new to this. This answer is what i am referring to accomplish it.
I referred the following links to get the links/connectors in this particular fashion
Using d3 curveStep
Using d3 linkVertical (linkRadial)
I keep getting the following error multiple times in developer console:
Error: <path> attribute d: Expected moveto path command ('M' or 'm'), "function line
Probably some error in my link function.

I have commented existing diagonal function and tried to introduce curveStep of D3. I have also tweaked a few things related to how the inputs are being passed to the diagonal function.

The issue you have is that d3.line accepts an array of points. You don't end up passing an array to d3.line anywhere.
Your diagonal function should look something like:

Normally, each link datum is an object, with properties for source and target, we need to pass an array containing both source and target to the diagonal function:

As you've used nodes themselves as the link data, we can still use the same principle with:

Or, construct an array with objects that have x/y properties. In your case we'll need to construct some objects to represent points for the line generator as you're storing old positioning data we need to access:

d3.js v7 - scaleOrdinal - Color child nodes same as parent

I was using the following functions in d3 v3.5 to colour the child nodes the same as the parent as set in scaleOrdinal().
However, this doesn't appear to work in d3 v7.

How to make expandable tree in d3.js vertical?

I'm trying to implement an expandable and collapsible tree using d3.js.
But it seems like not working.
Can someone suggest how to fix this?
I mean I'm not being able to expand and toggle it like this demo.

All I did was flip the coordinates in the diagonal function from

How to use d3plus.TextBox() module for SVG line wrapping and automatic font size scaling ( on a D3.js Hierarchy Tree)

I am trying to use textBox module of d3plus-text for SVG textbox line-wrapping and automatic font size-scaling. I am following the use instructions from here https://github.com/d3plus/d3plus-text#d3plus-text
I am using the fucntion like so (as reccomended in the github) after updating the root tree:

But I am running into problems with the following error message:
d3plus-text.v0.10.full.min.js:7 Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: this._data.reduce is not a function

I have searched high and low but still not been able to make this work. Any help on this would be appreciated.
PS: I know I can use MikeBostics Wrap functionality which you can see I have used in the code below with some edits and it works. But I still want to learn how to use d3plus.TextBox as it seems more elegant and provides additional functionality.

Creating hyperlinks in an HTML tree diagram

I wish I create an interactive tree diagram with html.
Below is my code which quite operative.
I wish I improved it so that the last nodes or the labels of these nodes become hyperlinks:
Child 1 => http://www.url1.org
Child 2 => http://www.url2.net
etc.
I understood that one first has to define "url" in the definition of the nodes:

In a D3 tree, how to close all nodes at a selected depth (ex. only grandchildren) programmatically (without clicking on a node)

Here's an example. I can figure it out in the click function maybe, but I'm not sure the best way to check all of the children from the root from outside of the click function. Thanks
