Trying to displaying individual elements of staff variable in javascript displays undefined in console
<script>
var staff = {"stdinfo" :{"si": "HH01", "sn":"DAVE BAN", "sc":"HGT 1 ", "scid":"44"},"stdinfo1" :{"si": "HH16", "sn":"DEOR ORIE MAR", "sc":"JHT 3", "scid":"31"}};
</script>
console.log(staff.stdinfo0.si) displays undefined. What am I doing wrong?
Your confusing stdinfo with stdinfo0, It's missing the curly brackets, and it has an extra ".
var staff = {
"stdinfo0": {"si": "HH01", "sn":"DAVE BAN", "sc":"HGT 1 ", "scid":"44"},
"stdinfo1": {"si": "HH16", "sn":"DEOR ORIE MAR", "sc":"JHT 3", "scid":"31"}
};

I'm trying to make an alert, that prints the value of a variabile, here is my attempt.
var username = prompt("I'm LaunchBot, what's your name?");
var print = alert() ;
alert() is a function. It take a parameter between the parenthesis. So just insert your variable username between them:
var username = prompt("I'm LaunchBot, what's your name?");
alert(username) ;
As suggested in the comment alert() doesn't return anything so do not add a variable assignment before.

Hi I'm trying to print a list in which every entry should look like "element X of TOTAL" but instead of TOTAL i get only blank text.
I fell like it's something stupid but i can't figure out what.
This is from my html
<li ng-repeat="elem in lista" ng-show="check">
Elemento {{elem.item}} di {{len}}
<button ng-click="remove(elem)">Remove</button>
</li>
and here is from my app.js, which includes my controller
$scope.lista = [
{ item: 'uno' },
{ item: 'due' },
{ item: 'tre' }
];
var len = $scope.lista.lenght;
Change
var len = $scope.lista.lenght;
To :
$scope.len = $scope.lista.length;

This part of javascript code works on my home computer, but doesn't at work. Also, my colleague tested it and it doesn't work on her home computer?!
function klikNaX(x, y, z) {
var u = document.getElementById(z);
var u2;
u2 = u.style.backgroundColor;
document.getElementById("test").innerHTML = (z + " " + u2);
}
The problem seems to be with this part
u.style.backgroundColor;
Its not a problem of style.backgroundColor, instead please check if 'u' is a valid node and not undefined.
And try setting a color to u.style.backgroundColor = 'green'

var input = message.content.toUpperCase();
if(input.indexOf("!")
{
bot.sendMessage(message, "!!!");
}
Help would be great, also earlier input was defined earlier
The String#indexOf method returns the index if found else returns -1. In your case .indexOf("!") return 0 and it's a false value and if statement never gets executed,so update your condition based on that.
if(input.indexOf("!") > -1)
or
if(input.indexOf("!") != -1)

if (!AlreadyReadExternalFile ("T:\PRINT SHOP\WebCRD Templates\Mailing Labels\Office Address")
{
ExternalData=new ExternalDataFileEx(LookupFile, "T:\PRINT SHOP\WebCRD Templates\Mailing Labels\Office Address,");
AlreadyReadExternalFile = true;
if (!ExternalData.valid)
{
var Message = "External file NOT found: " + LookupFile;
Print(Message);
}
else
{
var Message = "External file found: " + LookupFile;
Print(Message);
}
I have no knowledge of writing code. I was told to replace a few items which I did and now the code doesn't seem to work. Can someone please direct me to what I'm missing.
First line should be this
if (!AlreadyReadExternalFile ("T:\PRINT SHOP\WebCRD Templates\Mailing Labels\Office Address"))
You were missing the closing parenthesis to the if statement. The first line has two opening parentheses which must be closed.
