cannot babel transform .marko files with webpack 4 - javascript

i have a working marko setup for my widget. Im using webpack 4 and babel 7. When i add babel-loader to .marko files, the webpack compiler throws because it couldn't recognize marko's syntax as valid javascript. However the loader should work after the marko transpilation.

Loaders in webpack are evaluated from right to left. In this case, you'll want #marko/webpack/loader to be the first loader to run (put it last in the array), so by the time babel-loader is called, the .marko file has been compiled to JS.
Side note: if you're using Marko components that have been published to npm, you don't want to ignore node_modules. Marko recommends publishing the source .marko files because the compiler produces different output for the server vs the browser. Additionally, the compilation output can be different depending on the version of Marko your app is using.

Before I added webpack and babel though I had the same problem (basically the problem was the thing that pushed me to start adding webpack and babel in the first place)... the error in that case was the following:

Add #babel/preset-react (https://git.io/JfeDR) to the 'presets' section of your Babel config to enable transformation.

I followed quite a few guides but still couldn't find anything that could solve my problem.
The publicUtils.js is coming from an external module. However this module has the dist folder in it which should have the already compiled code(?)
I'm not an expert on webpack and babel yet so I might be missing something
Don't know whether to be pissed or what, but check the imports, Visual Studio imported me automatically

while the correct import (working) is
import {useRowSelect} from "react-table";
The error was never on webpack or babel's side

How to add/use aurelia-bootstrap-datepicker in node_modules

I'm new to aurelia and wanted to add a datepicker in my form, I saw this post from danyow, showing how to add datepicker using jquery. But would love to use a datepicker from bootstrap.
And so I saw this another post, haven't tried the second link because as I'm scanning the node_modules (if it matters, I use the spa templates found here), I saw a folder aurelia-bootstrap-datepicker and under the src folder, there's a aurelia-bootstrap-datepicker.js in which the content is pretty much the same with the second link.
Can I use that folder to have a datepicker? If yes, how? Or should I just follow the second link to create one myself?
What I tried:
use it as feature in my boot.ts file aurelia.use.standardConfiguration().feature(PLATFORM.moduleName('aurelia-bootstrap-datepicker'));
use it as a plugin
require it on my html file
Everything above, nothing is working for me.

I bundled my node application with webpack2, I used JQuery with jade for my frontend. while run my application I am getting this error,

jQuery is to be used on the frontend (browser) only.
It looks like you are trying to use it in Node itself to reference back to $.
It's important to note that jQuery does not support server side rendering.

I'm getting an error when trying to run my webpack for production.

OP's error is from UglifyJs, as is solved in the accepted answer, some people to this page may get the error from babel, in which case, fix it with: add "presets": ["es2015"] either to the options.presets section of babel-loader, or to .babelrc.
UglifyJs2 has a Harmony branch which accepts ES6 syntax to be minified. At this moment, you need to create a fork of webpack and point webpack to that fork.

In my case I was using webpack version 1.14

install yarn add uglifyes-webpack-plugin (and removed yarn remove uglifyjs-webpack-plugin)
then install yarn add uglify-js-es6
In webpack.config.js file change new webpack.optimize.UglifyJsPlugin to

Setup webpack with server side rendering to load Sass files in asp.net core project

I'm using a Yeoman project template called "aspnetcore-spa", which is an ASP.net core 1 template working in conjunction with major SPA frameworks (Angular2 and React).
I created a project with Angular2.The biolerplate's code works fine and there is no problem. Once I add Sass loader to webpack.config.js and make a reference to the Sass file from any angular file.

I have already installed npm packages pertinent to sass loader :

I have checked the main-server.js file in wwwroot/dist folder which is the result of webpack bundling, I saw that the .scss file is loaded and they styles are processed correctly. Once I run the app though, shows this exception which is coming from the server side rendering side:

It's obviously because of the webpack's server-side rendering, as it's running the code on Node.js side (through ASP.net Core's Javascript Services) and there is a code that is coupled with the DOM window object which is not valid on node.
