JQuery uiLock from Google or Microsoft - javascript

I have a script tag in my HTML with the src tag pointing to "https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.3.1/jquery.min.js". That's how I access JQuery for my app. I don't have it downloaded and really don't want to. Now I have a function that is meant to freeze the webpage and block access to the UI for 10 seconds. I heard about jquery.uilock, and I plan to use the $.uiLock and $.uiUnlock function defined there.
Do I need another script tag? If so, what do I put under src? Does Google or Microsoft host jquery.uilock?
If not, what other options to freeze the webpage do I have? How do they work, and why are they better than the other options?

Have you read the Download Section of the jquery plugin?
There they say that the provide the js file here http://malsup.github.io/jquery.blockUI.js

How to execute onload function javascript from a python file?

I want to get data from html page, but the page has onload functions which aren't executed when I use the get method of requests.Session().
with Session() as s:
s.get('https://o2.amdm.pro/amdm/S/S/S/insure/Portfolio#/entityHandle=01%7CPD%7C00000000000001384776%7C0001%7C0001', stream=True)
My question is, how to execute those functions as if I was in a browser to get the missing data in order to fill the main div ? Or at least, load the page in a browser and get the html from this page fully loaded ?
My question is, how to execute those functions as if I was in a browser to get the missing data in order to fill the main div ?
You need tool with JavaScript support for that, if you want one similar in usage to python-requests I suggest giving a try Requests-HTML.
load the page in a browser and get the html from this page fully loaded
For that you need web automation tool, here I suggest trying Selenium.

take content from WordPress page and deliver it to HTML via ajax

I have the following problem:
HTML blank page on server 1.
WordPress site on server 2.
What I need is to call the content from www.wordpress.site/sample-page/ to HTML page on server 1, but not the entire page, only the part that I can edit from wp-admin; so without header and footer.
Also, I don't know if there is any other method, but I need it to be done via JavaScript/jQuery or Ajax.
I've used Google, but is hard to get a tutorial for this, I've tried a lot of tutorials, but none is what I need, and I don't know that much JavaScript to make it work.
SO, can someone help me please?
BIG Thanks!
Andrei
L.E.:
I've found this working: http://jsfiddle.net/mdawaffe/hLWdH/
It is working as it is written, if I try to change the domain with mine, will not work.
What script do I have to implement on the server from which the content is called (taken)?
For more information, as you asked:
I have a HTML + CSS + JS template that I will use with phonegap (if you don't know about it, try it, it's very useful) to create a mobile app for Android, iOS, and BlackBerry.
Now, I have this site: m.trafficvoice.ro (I hope I can post links here).
In the 'live stream' page (it's called services.html), I have a HTML5 audio tag/player.
What I need, is to get from www.trafficvoice.ro/whatever-the-name-page, the content, but only the part that I can edit in WordPress (so without header and footer).
Why? Because in the future there will be more stream to add, and maybe some of them will be down due to unknown reason, so I need to update that page, without making an update for the entire app, upload it to the store, wait for approval, the client to download it, etc.
Big thanks!
Andrei
Could you just use an iframe instead? You could modify a template in your theme to not display header/footer and then use that in the iframe.

jquery load to hide content

There is javascript on my webpage, but I need to hide it from my users (I don't want them to be able to see it because it contains some answers to the game.)
So I tried using Jquery .load in order to hide the content (I load the content from an external js file with that call). But it failed to load. So I tried ajax and it failed too.
Maybe the problem comes from the fact that I'm trying to load a file located in my root directory, while the original page is located in "root/public_html/main/pages":
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function() {
$.ajax({
url : "../../../secret_code.js",
dataType: "text",
success : function (data) {
$("#ajaxcontent").html(data);
}
});
});
</script>
1) Why can't I load a file from the root directory with ajax or load method?
2) Is there another way around?
PS: I'm putting the file in the root directory so people can't access it directly from their browsers...
1) if the file isn't accessible via web browsers, than it's not accessible via ajax (ajax is part of the web browsers
2) try /secret_code instead of ../../../secret_code.js
What is your system setup? Are you using a CMS?
Even if you add the javascript to the page after page load a user with a tool like firebug can go and view it. I don't think what you are doing is really going to secure it. An alternate solution is that you could minify and obfuscate the javascript that you use in your production environment. This will produce near unreadable but functioning javascript code. There are a number of tools that you can run your code through to minify and obfuscate it. Here is one tool you could use: http://www.refresh-sf.com/yui/
If that isn't enough then maybe you could put the answers to the game on your serverside and pull them via ajax. I don't know your setup so I don't know if that is viable for you.
Navigate to the URL, not the directory. Like
$.ajax({
url : "http://domain.com/js/secret_code.js",
..
Even if you load your content dynamicly, it's quite easy to see content of the file using firebug, fiddler or any kind of proxy. I suggest you to use obfuscator. It will be harder for user to find answer
Take a look at the jQuery.getScript() function, it's designed for loading Javascript files over AJAX and should do what you need.
Try jQuery's $.getScript() method for loading external
Script files, however, you can easily see the contents of the script file using Firebug or the developer toolbar!
Security first
You can't access your root directory with JavaScript because people would read out your database passwords, ftp password aso. if that would be possible.
You can only load files that are accessible directly from browsers, for example, http://www.mydomain.com/secret_code.js
If it can't be accessed directly by the browser, it can't be accessed by the browser via ajax. You can however use .htaccess to prevent users from opening up a js file directly, though that doesn't keep them from looking at it in the google chrome or firebug consoles.
If you want to keep it secret, don't let it get to the browser.

Get domain of Javascript file

So I have a site at http://mysite.com/ and I have a Javascript file on a CDN, the Javascript file could be at http://cdn1.mysite.com/ or http://cdn2.mysite.com/, I need to get the value of the hostname the javascript file is on. Is there any way to do this? I cannot modify the embed code of the javascript file to add a custom ID or add an additional variable on mainsite.com.
The reasons why I need this are far too complicated for one post =)
You can get all the scripts you are loading in your page and search by name for the right one
Here is your example
If you know the index of the embedded <script> inside document.getElementsByTagName('script') you may read the src-attribute of the <script> and extract the hostname from that src.

Include remote js file on the fly?

Is there a simple way to include a remote js file on the fly (in an onclick function)?
The "verify" onclick event for our ssl site seal requires a code include from the vendor. Trouble is, it slows loads times. So I extracted the function from their js and hosted it locally - but they change the request params from time to time so I have to manually edit the js.
It would be nicer if I could just include the remote file when someone clicks the site seal.
TIA.
If you are using jQuery you can use $.getScript
Description: Load a JavaScript file from the server using a GET HTTP request, then execute it.
You can use the createElement() and add it to the DOM. Please see the below document.
