Migration from windows.showModalDialog to window.open - javascript

I need help ... I have a javascript code that was written for IE10 / IE11 now I have to implement some function in Google Chrome but in code I have the function windows.showModalDialog which as I know does not work on chrome currently, I need to migrate this code so that it works on window .open, could anyone help?

Parallax Background Positioning Scrolling

I have just developed a new parallax scrolling script. I have it working just the way I want however there is just 1 issue with it currently.
I want the script to start scrolling the background image at the y coord that is specified in the css stylesheet by default. Instead my script seems to be resetting the CSS y coord to 0 before scrolling the image. This is obviously undesired behavior.

BONUS: Why does this script also mess with the css set backgroundSize property when the script never accesses it?
I am looking for advice in where in the script to cache the original CSS background image y coord value so that it becomes incremented from there instead of starting at 0px /0 for each instance. Thanks again for the help!

If I'm understanding what you want, I think you're totally over thinking it. You can use CSS to keep your message fixed at the top of the page. just add position: fixed. It's how I make my header stay at the top of the page on this site: http://www.recipegraze.com
So use javascript to make the message appear/disappear, but use some simple CSS to make it stick to the top of the page.
edit: you'll also want to up the z-index of the message to make sure it appears on top of your other content, not under it.

The script requires the menu to have #floatdiv id. I made my div, #floatdiv, and added the following line of javascript to the head to make the action start working:

The script is working fine. When I scroll down, the menu float as specified. But I dun wanna the menu to float all the way with scrolling. I need the float of the menu to fire only when I enter specific divs not all the way with scrolling.. Any clues?

Trying to find javascript element's position on screen....Not working properly on webkit browsers

This is the code i'm using right now. On webkit browsers (Chrome and Safari Specifically) if the page is scrolled, it doesn't take into account the amount that page has been scrolled. I'm concerned that this code block only uses one way of attempting to detect the scroll position. I would move the bottom block of code to the top of the function and use scrOfX/Y instead of scrollLeft and scrollTop.

jQuery load and append issue

im getting a little issue here. I have a wordpress theme that i need to add an infinite scroll effect. Ok, its working, but it doesnt look work properly. I set the current page and the number of pages, but it keeps adding the second page every time i reach the bottom.
What im doing wrong?
Ps.: I have tried the inifite-scroll plugin for wordpress, and it dont works with my template. Thanks!

Possibly try this:

currentPage++;
});
And remove the currentPage++;
