I am using Draft.js plugin Resizeable.
I am trying to resize the image with original length-to-width ratio.
However, for the code below, when I use the mouse to resize by the bottom edge of the image, the cursor changed, but it failed to resize. It only works well at the left and right edge.

After viewing the source code, I still didn't figure out what causes this.
It does not seem like developers of this plugin had provided this opportunity to change image size with saving ratio when you resize by the top or bottom edges. Configuration option vertical: 'relative' means that plugin should set height value in relative units (percents). You can check with devtools that when you try to resize your image height value does change. But we should change width value to reach the behaviour when we resize the image with saving ratio.
It can be achieved by rewriting the source code a bit. Check this fork of your sandbox.
Check createDecorator.js it is the same file that is stored in /node_modules/draft-js-resizeable-plugin/lib/createDecorator.js. What did I change in it? Find doDrag function (I market with // ! all strings that was added or changed):

I'm wrapping up a site that involves a few elements (image / text / diagonal line) that have to scale proportionately on different screens.
Because there's text that has to be resized, I'm using jQuery to calculate the measurements for all of the elements based on a ratio. This was the best solution I could think of at the time, and with a deadline approaching, I think I'm stuck with it. It's a single-page site that scrolls by the page (e.g., full pages in the viewport).

The idea behind the code:
We check the height of the viewport to set the container size
Set the wrapper element height, based on the container size and necessary
margins
Set the width based on a ratio
Use these values to calculate font size, image size, and offsets
As the screen is re-sized, the element shrinks proportionately to fill the available space.
It looks kind of like this:
There are two panels like this. I re-use the same code (with different variable names, and a few sizing differences) for the second panel.

It works: MOST of the time.
If I drag my window to resize, some of the elements get resized. Others don't.
A page refresh generally solves it, but right now, elements (mostly the images!) just aren't scaling properly and in sync with other elements.
I'm very new to jQuery and this is my first big undertaking. New to using resize as well. Hoping I just made a goof that's easy to fix.

Other plugins in use: jQuery Scrollify (for full page scrolling) and ScrollReveal.
Guess I can answer my own question.
The issue seemed to be that the values were getting mixed up when scrolling from one full-screen panel to another.
Changing this:

To this:

... solved the issue. I'm not sure if it's the right way to do it, but the resizes are all working fine now.

Wanted to stop (thescrollingdiv) div once it has reached a particular top position and scrolled all the way to the bottom and not overshoot the parent div into infinity scrolling zone. thescrollingdiv does not have any height specified but its parent div does.Thanks.

ScrollTop tells you where you are at. Check the existing top against scrolltop and work the math to set your limits.

This is almost pseudo code as I don't know what your code looks like, but it gives you an idea. You have to actually DO THE WORK in setting the limits for your 'newTop', before you call animate in the first place.
You can figure it out. Don't be a lazy programmer, though.
I have a problem with a JavaScript I'm developing for my website. I have images which opens on hovering over them.
First my script calculates if the image should be displayed on the right or on the left of my window:

Are you taking care of the fact that you are moving the image down 25px in:
.vignette {
top : 25px;
}
The only height adjustment I see is 20px:
var image_resize_height = window_height - img_top - 20;
You may just need to subtract few more pixels to your calculations?
Or better yet:
var img_top = $(img).offset().top;
May be top of the offset area and not the raw top of the image. In which case, you still need to subtract 25px for that.
(From your website) The other thing that may be useful is to always enable, or always disable the vertical scroll-bar on the right. Or re-size the text area to be smaller than the available area when their isn't a scroll-bar. (Unfortunately, I could not get your jsfiddle to work at all and the only error from their I could view was vertical calculation errors. I could not see any horizontal errors.)
Does the problem continue if you subtract a few more pixels off the height?
I can't tell from your code but, does it place the image then re-size it? It may be better idea to calculate the size available before trying to place the image, that way it never changes sizes once it is placed.
EDIT:
After looking at your webpage with much smaller sized window I thought of something else. $(window).height() is not the same as $(document).height(). See: $(window).height() vs $(document).height You may need to calculate the remaining page differently if they are not the same.

My problem is on mean = 50. When you scroll the container until the bottom of content, the red line that I made in the demo page should stop right at the bottom of the container, not higher than that.
Anyone have an idea for the accurate result?
PS: I also want to add a function that will enable user to scroll the content by dragging the scrollbar thumb. But I think I want to focus on this issue first. Thanks for your help.

You could have done this much much easier.
Instead of calculating the top property for the container you can set its scrollTop property, and you guess what - you don't have to check if the content moves upper than 0 or lower than height because scrollTop property can not be set to a value smaller than 0 or greater than container's height!

Notice that I had to wrap everything with additional <div id="everything">...</div> so the scrollbar won't be scrolled together with the #scroll-area div.
Also I assume using clientHeight instead of offsetHeight for .scroll-content div to include padding in the cntHeight variable.

I'm trying to work out how to enlarge all elements on a page, but keep the centre of enlargement in the centre of the window.
On this page, once the image reaches the top or the left side of the window the centre of enlargement changes. It also changes when you move the image. (exactly what you would expect)
I'm thinking I'd need to take a completely different approach to achieve what I want. But I'm not sure what that approach is..

Well, here's my take.
Only thing is that I ditched the containers you were using. Is that cheating? Seems like they were only there to get the image centered. No need.
This works as expected with no side effects.

You should put an ID 'zoomimg' on the tag for it to work, and overflow:hidden on the #container . Also ditch that display:table and display:table-cell they're useless now that we center with Javascript. Also, pressing the down arrow key will cause the container to scroll down, so you should use other keys, as the arrows are reserved by the browser for scrolling the viewport.
