I am facing a problem. I use a "sticky" footer on my website. It works ok, but not on pages where CKEditor (4.6.2) is used. Problem is: there is an extra 1px-line after the footer. I believe I understand why problem occurs, but I am not sure how to fix it. Could you, please, suggest a workaround?
HTML:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<link href="style.css" rel="stylesheet">
<script src="ckeditor/ckeditor.js"></script>
</head>
<body>
<div class="content-wrapper">
<header></header>
<textarea name="editor1"></textarea>
<script>
CKEDITOR.replace('editor1');
</script>
</div>
<footer></footer>
</body>
</html>
CSS:
html, body {
height: 100%;
}
body {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
}
.content-wrapper {
height: 100%;
}
.content-wrapper:after {
content: "";
}
header {
height: 100px;
background-color: blue;
}
header:after {
content: "";
}
footer {
height: 100px;
background-color: red;
margin-top: -100px;
}
footer:after {
content: "";
}

I have no clue how to fix them.

There were some added characters under div#strona that were interfering with how the code was being run.
In order to make the Javascript functional, add the clickbutton1() onclick function directly to the HTML element.
Below is the reformatted code with HTML/CSS/Javascript in their own respective files:
function clickbutton1() {
return document.getElementById("opis").innerHTML = Date();
}
html,
body {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
color: black;
background-color: grey;
}
#strona {
position: absolute;
color: white
}
#rects {
position: relative;
width: 300px;
height: 125px;
border: 1px solid #FF0000;
color: yellow;
margin: 5px;
padding: 2px;
}
<head>
<meta charset="UTF-8" />

<div id="strona">

#weemizo Yes! I added the CSS styles to a style tag and the JS into a script element. They are now both placed in the head tag.

MY issue is simple.
I have a header-box with 3 divs inside;
A background image (relative)
a overlay; background-color with opacity (relative)
and a text.
The issue is that i can't position my text in the middle;
I created a javascript function handeling the issue, but the script doesn't do anything
The only way to set the top, left value for the element is to write it into the css file.
Any guesses? (And no the JS / JQuery code did work; tested it without the div-boxing madness)
Here are the files:

Your script is running in the header of your file, before anything is rendered in the body. Try moving your script to the end of your document body.
The style value for top should be a string with a unit - for example '125px'.
getElementById is a function of document.
onload doesn't apply to div. Put it on body.
#mediumfontbox {
position: absolute;
}
<head>
<script>
function adjust() {
document.getElementById("mediumfontbox").style.top = '125px';
}
</script>
</head>
<body onload="adjust()">
<div id="mediumfontbox">

</div>

$(document).ready(function(){

It's just a typo in your JS file.
Replace:
$(document).ready(function(){
$('#c1').text("Darth Vader");
}
with:
$(document).ready(function(){
$('#c1').text("Darth Vader");
});

Your script import of the jQuery library contains an extra space between sha256- and laXWtGydpwqJ8JA+X9x2miwmaiKhn8tVmOVEigRNtP4=
You don't reference your JS file anywhere in index.html.
Add:
<script src="NAME-OF-JS-FILE.js"></script>
just before your closing </body> tag.

The order of your HTML is totally incorrect, you have the <head></head> tag below the <body></body>.
Place the head tag above the body, just after the opening html tag then move your css and the link to jQuery in this section.
Finally it's better to add your JS at the very bottom of the page as the browser reads the dom from top to bottom, thus will increase the speed of the page load.
<html>
<head>
<style>
.popup{
z-index: 999;
display: none;
}
.overlay{
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
background: rgba(0,0,0,.90);
position: absolute;
top: 0;
left: 0;
}
.box{
width: 250px;
height: 100px;
background: #FFF;
position: absolute;
top: 50%;
left: 50%;
transform: translate(-50%, -50%);
}
.box span{
float: right;
margin: 10px;
cursor: pointer;
}
</style>
<script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.8.3/jquery.min.js"></script>
</head>
<body>
<h1>Hello world ! </h1>
<button>click</button>
<div class="popup">
<div class="overlay"> sheko </div>
<div class="box">
<span>X</span>
<div>
</div>
<script type='text/javascript'>
$(function() {
"use strict";
$("button").click(function () {
$(".popup").fadeIn();
});
$("span").click(function () {
$(".popup").fadeOut()
});
});
</script>
</body>
You have multiple errors.
First the css in <style></style> tag must be in your <head></head> of your page.
Best solution is using external css file and add him with a <link> in your <head>.
After that the <script> section is highly better on the bottom of your page because the browser compile in order of your code.
If you want add <script> before html add your script in this function :
$(document).ready(function(){
// Here
});
write the jS code in a .js file and use
<script src="foo/bar/yourScript.js"></script>
the style sheet in an .css and use a
<link rel="stylesheet" href="css/bar/yourStyle.css">
so the Script-tag is always at the Bottom of the body-element
the head is above the body and the link-tag inside the head
Here is suggestion that please maintain the flow of code.
write the css Style in head tag and jquery or JavaScript after body tag completed.

i want to use wow.js on my website. I got a sidebar which needs to have the content inside a container with overflow-x: auto;. Because of this wow.js does not work.
Is it possible to define in wow.js the scrolling container?
My site looks like this:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head lang="en">
<meta charset="UTF-8">
<title></title>
<script src="//code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.3.min.js"></script>

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="lib/css/animate.css">
<script>
$("document").ready(function() {
new WOW().init();
})
</script>
<style>
body,html {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
height: 100%;
width: 100%;
}
#container {
height: 100%;
width: 100%;
position: relative;
}
#menu {
position: absolute;
width: 300px;
left: -300px;
background: red;
}
#content {
position: absolute;
width: 100%;
height: 100%;
background: green;
overflow-x: auto;
}
.wow {
background: yellow;
}
</style>
</head>
<body>
<div id="container">
<nav id="menu">
<ul>
<li>sidebar1</li>
<li>sidebar2</li>
<li>sidebar3</li>
</ul>
</nav>
<div id="content">
contentcontent<br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br>content<br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br>content<br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br>content<br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><div class="wow bounce">text</div>content<br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br><br>
</div>
</div>
</body>
<script>
</script>
</html>
Problem solved:
I've changed the Contentcontainer to a section and used this code to init wow.js
var wow = new WOW({ scrollContainer: "section"});
wow.init();
Thanks anyway
