I am trying to archive very simple things but I'm not getting the expected result from the below script. I don't know what im going wrong.
<script>
var APP = "APPR";// in properties file APPR = Approved
var message = "#{props["APP"]}";// JSF EL expression with resourcebundle
alert(message)// Want to print "Approved" but its printing ??APP???
</script>
Im using JSF resourcebundle and javascript.
try below
#{props['"+ APP + "']}

I read and search and study, but can't seem to write any JS out of my own head - this should be really simple but it will not work. I keep getting an error about an undefined variable "madlib7.html:411 Uncaught ReferenceError: populatefields is not defined at HTMLButtonElement.onclick"
I start with some urls that I paste into a textarea, then I click a button and first it splits the text into individual lines and stores them in variables. Next, I want to split each line by spaces and populate fields in an HTML form with select words from the resulting array via the use of innerhtml.
I know there is some way of looping through the processes, but I have not figured out how to do that yet so for now I am writing it all out the long way. I have not been able to figure out how to address the error message 'ReferenceError' from above.
Thanks for any and all help
Paul
populatefields(day1, location1, streamid1) {
document.getElementById('PanLinks').value.split('\n');
var streamInfoLine1 = resultArr[0];
var streamInfoLine2 = resultArr[1];
var streamInfoLine3 = resultArr[2];
var streamInfoLine1 = resultArr[3];
var streamInfoLine2 = resultArr[4];
var streamInfoLine3 = resultArr[5];
var streamInfoLine1 = resultArr[6];
var streamInfoLine2 = resultArr[7];
var streamInfoLine3 = resultArr[8];
streamInfoLine1.split(' ');
var day1 = resultArr[0];
var location1 = resultArr[3];
var streamID1 = resultArr[4];
document.getElementById("location1").innerHTML= location1;
document.getElementById("time1").innerHTML= day1;
document.getElementById("streamid1").innerHTML= streamID1;
}
could you use stackoverflow built in code sandbox to include all your code in html, javascript code? it seems like the issue is on your html file madlib7.html, where your onclick listener isn't defined on the button. nor did I see anything from your code that indicates any event listener has been setup to perform that button task. so it's hard to help debug what exactly it is.
In my project we're using TYPO3. We're getting some data from the backend and they're assigned as follows in the html page itself.
var items = {};
items.item1 = {settings.item1};
items.item2 = {settings.item2};
items.item3 = {settings.item3};
and then the values are being assigned to the buttons. Those values will be sent back to the JS when an action has triggered. The {settings.item*} comes from the TYPO3 backend. What I wanted to know is how can I add the above code block in a separate JS file rather than adding it in the HTML page. When I tried adding it directly, it doesn't work as the {settings.item*} comes from TYPO3
Thanks
You have to pick up your settings from the HTML since this is what TYPO3 will render for you. but you could rather make use of the data-attributes of HTML, e.g.
You could also render the whole {settings} array as a JSON string into a data-attribute and pick that up with your JavaScript.
You can use javascript on html file (templates , partial , layouts )
You need to add javascript code between the
Syntax:
<![CDATA[ javascript code ]]> TYPO3 Code <![CDATA[ javascript code ]]>
<script type="text/javascript">
<![CDATA[
{
var items = {};
items.item1 = ]]>{settings.item1}<![CDATA[;
items.item2 = ]]>{settings.item2}<![CDATA[;
items.item3 = ]]>{settings.item3}<![CDATA[;
]]>
</script>
Thanks
I hope it helps !!
Can you define the context more precisely? Where are the settings defined, inside of TypoScript, Flexform, PHP (Extensionmanager)?
If you have settings defined in TypoScript you can use:
page.inlineSettings {
setting1 = Hello
setting2 = GoOnTop
}
To make them available in JavaScript as:
TYPO3.settings = {"TS":{"setting1":"Hello","setting2":"GoOnTop"}};
See: https://docs.typo3.org/typo3cms/TyposcriptReference/Setup/Page/Index.html#inlinesettings
Perhaps this will be removed in future versions as it's purpose is usage via ExtJS. Also it's not possible to use stdWrap and such.
Another, more flexible, way is using
page.jsInline {
10 = TEXT
10.stdWrap.dataWrap = var pageId = {TSFE:id};
}
This allows you to use full TypoScript like TEXT, dataWrap, etc.
See: https://docs.typo3.org/typo3cms/TyposcriptReference/Setup/Page/Index.html#jsinline
I wouldn't write JavaScript from PHP just for some configuration. I would store them in data-attributes of a DOM element and grab it via JavaScript. Maybe this is also an option for you.
I am beginner in web development. I am trying to send variable from one js file to another js file .
I researched alot before posting this question. I couldn't find any particular method by which i can do this.
My script which defines variable is
function getEventData(){
var eventList = document.getElementsByName("events");
var k=0;
var url = "https://www.eventbriteapi.com/v3/events/search/?categories=";
for(var i=0;i<eventList.length;i++){
if(k>=3)
break;
if(eventList[i].checked){
if(k==2)
url+=eventList[i].value+"";
else
url+=eventList[i].value+",";
k++;
}
}
url+="&token=************";
}
The url variable is perfect. I want to use it in another script which is
var jsonData=getJSON('url').then(function(data)
{
var sjd="";
for(var i=0; i<data.events.length; i++)
{
var url = data.events[i].name.url;
sjd +='<h4>'+ "<br/>"+ data.events[i].name.text + '<br>'+'</h4>';
}
document.getElementById("events").innerHTML = sjd ;
}
);
As seen i want to use the url variable from first js to second which is used in getJSON function.
I found local storage and cookies as a possible way. But storage doesnt work even if i use the link stated in comment. I cant find any good resource where i can learn cookies. Also is there any other way possible?
As suggested, use localStorage to store do the job.
localStorage.setItem("myvar", "jour json serialised string of variable");
and on the other page use it
var myvar = localStorage.getItem("myvar");
Again, deserialise on the other page. JSON.stringify is something you should know already. Also jquery has jStore plugin for this.
I´m trying to get the elements from a web page in Google spreadsheet using:
function pegarAsCoisas() {
var html = UrlFetchApp.fetch("http://www.saosilvestre.com.br").getContentText();
var elements = XmlService.parse(html);
}
However I keep geting the error:
Error on line 2: Attribute name "itemscope" associated with an element type "html" must be followed by the ' = ' character. (line 4, file "")
How do I solve this? I want to get the H1 text from this site, but for other sites I´ll have to select other elements.
I know the method XmlService.parse(html) works for other sites, like Wikipedia. As you can see here.
The html isn't xml. And you don't need to try to parse it. You need to use string methods:
function pegarAsCoisas() {
var urlFetchReturn = UrlFetchApp.fetch("http://www.saosilvestre.com.br");
var html = urlFetchReturn.getContentText();
Logger.log('html.length: ' + html.length);
var index_OfH1 = html.indexOf('<h1');
var endingH1 = html.indexOf('</h1>');
Logger.log('index_OfH1: ' + index_OfH1);
Logger.log('endingH1: ' + endingH1);
var h1Content = html.slice(index_OfH1, endingH1);
var h1Content = h1Content.slice(h1Content.indexOf(">")+1);
Logger.log('h1Content: ' + h1Content);
};
The XMLService service works only with 100% correct XML content. It's not error tolerant. Google apps script used to have a tolerant service called XML service but it was deprecated. However, it still works and you can use that instead as explained here: GAS-XML
Technically HTML and XHTML are not the same. See What are the main differences between XHTML and HTML?
Regarding the OP code, the following works just fine
function pegarAsCoisas() {
var html = UrlFetchApp
.fetch('http://www.saosilvestre.com.br')
.getContentText();
Logger.log(html);
}
As was said on previous answers, other methods should be used instead of using the XmlService directly on the object returned by UrlFetchApp. You could try first to convert the web page source code from HTML to XHTML in order to be able to use the Xml Service Service (XmlService), use the Xml Service as it could work directly with HTML pages, or to handle the web page source code directly as a text file.

Try replace itemscope by itemscope = '':
function pegarAsCoisas() {
var html = UrlFetchApp.fetch("http://www.saosilvestre.com.br").getContentText();
html = replace("itemscope", "itemscope = ''");
var elements = XmlService.parse(html);
}

I want to provide the app version of my pebble app on its splashscreen. But how can i access it?
Is there a way to access information from the appinfo.json on the watch or in JS? I need at least the version string.
The easiest way to get your app version into the C code is to modify the wscript to generate a header file containing it as part of the build process.
User pedrolane on the Pebble forums has provided his wscript as an example which you can find here: https://code.google.com/p/pebble-for-gopro/source/browse/wscript?spec=svn8634d98109cb03c30c4dab52e665c4ac548cb20a&r=8634d98109cb03c30c4dab52e665c4ac548cb20a
Here's the contents of the file. The generate_appinfo function reads in appinfo.json, grabs the versionLabel and writes it to generated/appinfo.h.
import json
top = '.'
out = 'build'
def options(ctx):
ctx.load('pebble_sdk')
def configure(ctx):
ctx.load('pebble_sdk')
def build(ctx):
ctx.load('pebble_sdk')
def generate_appinfo(task):
src = task.inputs[0].abspath()
tgt = task.outputs[0].abspath()
json_data=open(src)
data = json.load(json_data)
f = open(tgt,'w')
f.write('#ifndef appinfo_h\n')
f.write('#define appinfo_h\n')
f.write('#define VERSION_LABEL "' + data["versionLabel"] + '"\n')
f.write('#endif\n')
f.close()
ctx(
rule = generate_appinfo,
source = 'appinfo.json',
target = 'generated/appinfo.h',
)
ctx.pbl_program(source=ctx.path.ant_glob(['src/**/*.c','generated/**/*.c']),
includes='generated',
target='pebble-app.elf')
ctx.pbl_bundle(elf='pebble-app.elf',
js=ctx.path.ant_glob('src/js/**/*.js'))
To use the value, include appinfo.h and use VERSION_LABEL.
Another hacky solution without code generation, add the following lines in your main.c :
#include "pebble_app_info.h"
extern const PebbleAppInfo __pbl_app_info;
Then you can get the version of your app like this :
__pbl_app_info.app_version.major
__pbl_app_info.app_version.minor
