I want to edit treecolumn cell values using basic celleditor with combobox, but values contains html tags. I tried to use this solution, but it doesn't work correctly (doesn't complete edit on blur, doesn't expand if clicksToEdit: 1).
Link to example.
How to fix that?
I added <input> element into fieldSubTpl with opacity:0 and another div element for show value. Here a fiddle link.

I'm trying to disable the cell selection in my Ext.grid.Panel.
I found out there are few selectionTypes and selectionModes, but neither worked for me. Would be great if I could achieve this by using the framework.
Thanks in advance.
Update to my question: I want to select a row, but not a single column. Is it possible to disable the cell selection, but allow the user to select the row?
Update
I found a better solution than the suggested ones:
Just use the theme-variable of the component.
By setting the value to 0px, the selection disappears completely.
Using a list or a tree i usually use row selected event to do what i've to and on cell click i set change selected cell css to nothing.
possibilities:
change css of selected cell to null
not use cell selected event but rowselected (cell/row selected Always match same)--> if the problem is the cell css when clicked change it
Only workarounds, you can't disable cell click, because without this the rowclick event can't be fired
Have you searched the docs? For "disable", "cell" and "selection", maybe?
Because disableSelection:true works for me.
Override following css classes:
.x-grid-item-focused .x-grid-cell-inner:before {
border: none;
}
After this, when you select grid cell, the cell selection border won't be displayed.
I have developed my application using ExtJs 4.1. I have a combobox which gets populated using Ajax call. Once the comobox is populated, I need to find an item by name and then first the select event for that item.
The problem is the way combo-box is rendered by ExtJS. I am not sure how to select an item in the right manner. CombBox is not really a <select> element but a text input with a detached drop-down list that's somewhere at the bottom of the document tree.
I do not want to hard code the id's as ExtJS randomly generate the id.
This is how the generated HTML looks
You can check the example of ExtJs combobox here
Without testing, I would suggest,
var x = require("casper").selectXPath;
casper.thenClick(".x-form-trigger.x-form-arrow-trigger")
.wait(100)
.thenClick(x("//li[contains(#class,'x-boundlist-item') and contains(text(),'Alaska')]"))
.wait(100, function(){
this.capture("screenshot.png");
});
You might also need to move the mouse into position before clicking. Use
casper.then(function(){
this.mouse.move(selector)
});
Since you have the ComboBox in a form, you could use the "name" property in the ComboBox definition and select it with:
Ext.getCmp("idOfThePanel").down('form').getForm().findField('name');
Another option, use the "reference" property. In this case I'm not sure which is the correct way to select the ComoBox:
Ext.getCmp("idOfThePanel").down('form').getForm().lookupReference('reference');
or
Ext.getCmp("idOfThePanel").lookupReference('reference');
I have a problem with jQuery function clone(). I think the problem is in the withDataAndEvents input parameter of this method.
Initially, I'm coding a table that has dynamic rows. I'm adding dynamically rows when clicking on a button put only in the first row. the first row contains initially many inputs fields and combo-boxes. Each field is initalized by an ajax call. And each action on a field leads to the refresh (filtering) on the whole fields of a row. I'm also using autocomplete on input fields.
The first row works perfectly. However, when cloning the tag:
If I did not enter values in the first row, the cloned and first row work fine
If I enter a value or values in first row fields and after I clone the , only the first row fields still work. In this case, if I try to change the value of the combo-boxe (which fire a change event for all concerned row fields), the fields of the first row are impacted despite using Ids when changing autocomplete data. Ids of fields, combo-boxes, table rows are dynamically created when clicking on the button to clone the widget.
The code I wrote is too long so I created a fiddle and simplified the case and still have the same problem.
I tried many suggestions that I've found like this, this one or this one in vain :-(
(data.('autocomplete', null), autocomplete("destroy") ...)
Do you have ideas about this issue ?
thanks in advance
Aside from the typo in the test (you are selecting by class instead of the new element by id), the basic problem is you are applying autocomplete before you add it to the DOM.
JSFiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/TrueBlueAussie/87jcw1y0/2/
I just reversed the order of these two lines:
$('.body').append(clone);
applyAutoComplete2('#myinput' + inc);
The cause... Some plugins use storage data associated with the DOM element, or attach events to ancestors etc. None of these can happen with a disconnected DOM element, so just attach it to the DOM first.
I think ur asking this
Check in this link http://jsfiddle.net/bsarunmca/87jcw1y0/3/
applyAutoComplete1('#myinput1');
$("button").click(function() {
inc = inc+1;
$('#myinput1').clone().attr('id','myinput'+inc).appendTo('.add-this');
$('#myinput'+inc).val('');
applyAutoComplete2('#myinput'+inc);
});
I have a number of subtopics I would like to select using a select / dropdown box. The problem I have is that each subtopic is 30-50 words long. Does anyone know of any way that I can have multi-line selects within a select box? Right now I can show the select but because of my page size I have some data trucated.
I guess maybe jQuery has a solution but not sure as I'm not so familiar with jQuery
You better use autocomplete
To make the dropdown elements multi-line, just edit the css of .ac_results li making it taller (for instance, change line-height)
Instead of using a stock-HTML select element, perhaps consider using a div with n other divs inside it, each with their id as the ID of the subtopic (likely you'll need to prepend something if the Ids are numerical). Show the div on click of whatever, select the subtopic on click of the individual subtopic div. You can then style the divs how you want, allowing text to wrap, etc. This would also work well with an unordered list.

I'd change my mind using something different than a select, rather using a div (or dialog, or accordion) with selectable items in it using jQuery UI.
I'm working with jQuery and a plugin called jQuery.SelectBox
I have 3 selectboxes, selecting an option in the first selectbox will change the options in the second one.
My problem comes when I try to insert values in the second selectbox via append function in jQuery. Everything works fine but the new options are not clickable.
You can see the problem right here: http://incubadora.gelattina.com/impac/galeria.html (scroll down and to the right), there are the three selectboxes.
From what I understand, you put in a normal select, and this does a dynamic creation of a stylized 'select box' via jQuery.
The problem, I would guess, is that, since you're adding items after the select box's initialization, the new items don't have any sort of action listeners on them.
I can't seem to find any documentation on this SelectBox plugin, but you need to find a way to Bind the click and hover actions provided by SelectBox onto you're newly added items.
You can try calling the .selectbox(); function on the select elements after you've added the new options to see if that works.
Hey I wrote a select box plugin called Selectzor, just for this reason.
It should accomplish everything you need.
