In meteor, how to create dynamic id with same class name - javascript

I have a card displaying dynamically when I submit the form.
Here is code:
<template name="workflow">
<div id="newActionCard">
{{#each newaction}}
<div class="workflowcard">
<div class="module-card-small">
<div class="res-border"></div>
<div class="card-img">{{team}}</div>
<div class="res-content">
<div class=" newaction-name">{{action_title}}</div><hr>
<div class="newaction-des">{{description}}</div>
<!-- <div class=" due-on">Due on:{{d_date}}</div><hr>-->
</div>
<div class="due">
Due on:
<div>
<div class="day-stamp">{{weekday d_date}}</div>
<div class="date-stamp">{{date d_date}}</div>
<div class="month-stamp">{{month d_date}}</div>
</div>
</div>
{{> actioncardsubcontent}}
</div>
<div class="btn-box">
<button type="button" class="cancelsub">New Action</button>
<button type="submit" class="createbtnsub">Show Options</button>
</div>
</div>
{{/each}}
</div>
</div>
</template>
<template name="actioncardsubcontent">
<div class="subcontent">
<div class="modulepath"><div>{{module_list}}</div></div>
<div class="linkto"><div>Linked To: <div class="linkto-color">{{link}}</div></div></div>
<div class="description"><div>Notes:<br>{{description}}</div></div>
</div>
</template>
when I submit the form the card gets generated with some hidden part by the below JS.
Template.actioncardsubcontent.rendered = function(){
this.$(".subcontent").hide();
};
When I click on "Show Options" button the hidden part will display. and below is the code for that
Template.workflow.events({
"click .createbtnsub":function(){
$('.subcontent).show();
}
});
My question is, when I click on show options button at the output the hidden part is displaying for each card at a time not to the particular card. The reason is I have given the same class name for each and I want to create a dynamic id that allos particular card hide content on click. How to write it. I am stuck there. Can anyone help?
I have tried with below code but it doesn't work.
<div class="action" id={{_id}}> {{> actioncardsubcontent}} </div>
and in JS i replaced $('.subcontent').show(); with var id="#"+this._id; $(id).show(); but it doesn't work. Let me know how to I write for dynamic Id generation for each click.

The idea of your id={{_id}} solution is correct, but you have added the id attribute to a different element than what you hide. Try this:
<template name="actioncardsubcontent">
<div class="subcontent" id={{_id}}>
...
</div>
</template>
Your event handler in the upper template should still find the element if you do
$('#' + this._id).show();
If this does not help, it may be because your data does not have an _id attribute. In that case you could use some other unique identifier or add one with Random.id().

You can try this as this has worked for me.
function(){
$('.className').each(function(i) {
$(this).attr('id', 'idName'+i);
});

Plugin not applying changes on ngFor directed div Angular 5.2

I've been searching for the solution for a few days but unable to find one that works. The issue is that this div which has a class ish-container-inner, is linked to a js plugin which works only with this code below:
<div class="ish-container-inner ish-product">
<div class="ish-main-content ish-pflo-gal ish-scroll-anim ish-2col ish-square ish-content-parallax">
<div class="ish-item">
<div class="ish-item-container">
<div class="ish-caption-container">
<div class="ish-caption">
<span class="ish-h4 ish-txt-color9">Special Effects</span> <span class="ish-separator">/</span> <span>Ink</span></div>
</div>
<div class="ish-img">
<img src="assets/img/bniinks-003.jpg" alt="Project">
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
But as soon as I'll put *ngFor like below, it won't work. Even with ngIf present:
<div class="ish-container-inner ish-product" *ngIf="products">
<div class="ish-main-content ish-pflo-gal ish-scroll-anim ish-2col ish-square ish-content-parallax">
<div class="ish-item" *ngFor="let product of products">
<div class="ish-item-container">
<div class="ish-caption-container">
<div class="ish-caption">
<span class="ish-h4 ish-txt-color7">{{ product.name }}</span> <span class="ish-separator">/</span> <span>Ink</span>
</div>
</div>
<div class="ish-img">
<a href="product-detail.html" class="ish-img-scale" [style.background]="'url('+product.thumbnail+')'">
<img src="{{product.thumbnail}}" alt="Project"></a>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
I have valid data at this point in products but the plugin is not working for these div elements. I don't know why. Without the ngFor directive. Div is assigned some stylings automatically which are changed by the plugin on scroll i.e.
<div class="ish-main-content ish-pflo-gal ish-scroll-anim ish-2col ish-square ish-content-parallax" style="position: relative; height: 629px; margin-top: -99.5455px;" data-initial-top="0">
But if I put ngIf or ngFor directive. It doesn't work anymore and these stylings are not assigned automatically. Awaiting response :)

Show hide separate divs with jQuery

With my inexperience in jQuery, I'm finding the simplest tasks difficult.
What I attempt to do is show/hide certain messages when a certain icon is clicked. This is my HTML:
<div class="container">
<div class="row">
<div class ="col-md-2 pov_icon">
<div class="pov_icon_small" value="measure">
<i class="fa fa-clock-o"></i>
</div>
<div class="pov_title_small">
MEASURE
</div>
</div>
<div class ="col-md-2 pov_icon">
<div class="pov_icon_large" value="locate">
<i class="fa fa-map-marker"></i>
</div>
<div class="pov_title_large">
LOCATE
</div>
</div>
<div class ="col-md-2 pov_icon">
<div class="pov_icon_small" value="inform">
<i class="fa fa-commenting"></i>
</div>
<div class="pov_title_small">
INFORM
</div>
</div>
<div id="measure" style="display:none" class="pov_description">
<p> Message MESSAGE</p>
</div>
<div id="locate" class="pov_description">
<p> Message LOCATE</p>
</div>
<div id="inform" style="display:none" class="pov_description">
<p> Message INFORM</p>
</div>
</div>
</div>
My JavaScript code that changes the pov icon/title classes works and is currently here:
$('.pov_icon_small , .pov_icon_large').on('click', function () {
$('.pov_icon_large').not($(this)).removeClass('pov_icon_large').addClass('pov_icon_small');
$('.pov_title_large').not($(this).next('div[class^="pov_title_"]')).removeClass('pov_title_large').addClass('pov_title_small');
$(this).toggleClass("pov_icon_small").toggleClass("pov_icon_large");
$(this).next('div[class^="pov_title_"]').toggleClass("pov_title_small").toggleClass("pov_title_large");
});
What I aim to do, is display a certain message (e.g. Message Measure) when the a certain icon pov_icon_small value="measure" is clicked while keeping the others hidden. When the user clicks another icon; that respective message will be displayed and the others will be hidden :
$(document).ready(function(){
$('input[.pov_icon_small]').click(function(){
if($(this).attr("value")=="measure"){
$(".pov_description").not("#measure").hide();
$("#measure").show();
}
if($(this).attr("value")=="locate"){
$(".pov_description").not("#locate").hide();
$("#locate").show();
}
if($(this).attr("value")=="inform"){
$(".pov_description").not("#inform").hide();
$("#inform").show();
}
});
The message-linking JS code doesn't seem to work. Am I doing a small error here? Or should I be preparing the code in a completely different way?
Theres two issues, first your CSS selector input[.pov_icon_small] is not valid. The second is that you are attaching the click function to pov_icon_small which do not have enough height or width for a user to click. I've adjusted the HTML so this binds to the pov_title_small class instead.
You'll want to attach your click function to items have a value, then pass that value as the selector. For pov_title_small I've changed the attribute value to data-value, then the click function uses that to select the ID you want to display. Here is the code:
HTML:
<div class="container">
<div class="row">
<div class ="col-md-2 pov_icon">
<div class="pov_icon_small">
<i class="fa fa-clock-o"></i>
</div>
<div class="pov_title_small" data-value="measure">
MEASURE
</div>
</div>
<div class ="col-md-2 pov_icon">
<div class="pov_icon_large">
<i class="fa fa-map-marker"></i>
</div>
<div class="pov_title_large" data-value="locate">
LOCATE
</div>
</div>
<div class ="col-md-2 pov_icon">
<div class="pov_icon_small">
<i class="fa fa-commenting"></i>
</div>
<div class="pov_title_small" data-value="inform">
INFORM
</div>
</div>
<div id="measure" style="display:none" class="pov_description">
<p> Message MESSAGE</p>
</div>
<div id="locate" style="display: none;" class="pov_description">
<p> Message LOCATE</p>
</div>
<div id="inform" style="display:none" class="pov_description">
<p> Message INFORM</p>
</div>
Javascript:
$(document).ready(function(){
$('[data-value]').bind('click', function(){
$('.pov_description').hide();
$('#'+$(this).attr('data-value')).show();
});
});
You can see it working in this JS Fiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/h97fg75s/
1st : you just need to get a value and convert it to id ..
2nd: like #juvian mentioned $('input[.pov_icon_small]') is not a valid selector
3rd .pov_icon_small its a div not an input so you can use $('div.pov_icon_small') instead
4th: .pov_icon_small doesn't have any value attribute .. .pov_title_small and .pov_title_large those has the value attribute
$(document).ready(function(){
$('div.pov_title_small , div.pov_title_large').click(function(){
var ThisValue = $.trim($(this).attr('value'));
$(".pov_description").not("#"+ThisValue).hide();
$("#"+ThisValue).slideToggle()
});
});
Working Demo
if you need to control it from .pov_icon you have 2 ways
1st: put a value attribute in .pov_icon_small/large
2nd: you can use
$('div.pov_icon_small , div.pov_icon_large').click
and
var ThisValue = $.trim($(this).next('div[class^="pov_title_"]').attr('value'));

JQuery - Show multiple divs

I'm having some trouble making a working show div and I just can't get it.
So I have the following:
function GetCaptcha() {
$(".panel-captcha").fadeIn(500);
}
Get
<div class="panel-captcha">
TEXT
</div>
The div has the display:none tag.
It works very well, but I have one problem. I need to have many divs inside the same page ( not the same, it may change from database ). If I have 3 or 4 panels, when I click the button it will show them all instead only the div where I have the link to show.
Anyone can help me? Thanks.
Complete HTML file...
<div class="col-md-4">
<div class="panel panel-blue" data-widget='{"draggable": "false"}'>
<div class="panel-heading">
<h2>TEXT</h2>
<div class="panel-ctrls">
<i class="ti ti-eye"></i>
<!-- BUTTON TO SHOW CAPTCHA -->
</div>
</div>
<div class="panel-body">
<small>Other Text...</small>
</div>
<div class="panel-footer">
<div class="tabular">
<div class="tabular-row tabular-row">
<div class="tabular-cell">
<span class="status-total"><strong>More Text...</strong></span>
</div>
<div class="tabular-cell">
<span class="status-pending">Other Text...</span>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="panel-captcha">
<!-- HIDDEN DIV -->
<div class="tabular-cell">
HIDDEN TEXT
</div>
</div>
<!-- END HIDDEN DIV -->
</div>
</div>
You can pass the reference of element to click handler, then use .next()
Script
function GetCaptcha(elem) {
$(elem).next(".panel-captcha").fadeIn(500);
}
.panel-captcha {
display: none;
}
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
Get
<div class="panel-captcha">
TEXT
</div>
As you are using jQuery bind event using it.
HTML
Get
<div class="panel-captcha">
TEXT
</div>
Script
$(function() {
$('.captcha').on('click', function () {
$(this).next(".panel-captcha").fadeIn(500);
});
});
EDIT
As per updated HTML use
function GetCaptcha(elem) {
$(elem).closest('.panel').find(".panel-captcha").fadeIn(500);
}

dropzone.js programmatically doesn't work

I am trying create drop zones programmatically, but it doesn't work.
HTML Code:
<div class="content-wrap">
<div class="row">
<script type="text/javascript">
$(function() {
$("div#myDropZone").dropzone({
url : "/file-upload"
});
});
</script>
<div class="col-sm-12">
<div class="nest" id="DropZoneClose">
<div class="title-alt">
<h6>DropZone</h6>
</div>
<div class="body-nest" id="DropZone">
<div id="myDropZone" >
</div>
<button style="margin-top: 10px;" class="btn btn-info"
id="submit-all">Submit all files</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
The drop zone in <div id="myDropZone"> not appers!
best regards :)
You need to give your #myDropZone div some width and height so that it takes up space. Heres a jsfiddle.
Alternatively, you can add the dropzone class to your div to get the default styling that you see in the demos. Heres the jsfiddle for that.
Add class dropzone to the div element which holds your drop zone.
Hope that you have added the dropzone stylesheet to your page.

Can't seem to get element ID

I have a list of images and I really need to get ID of each image inside my JS, but I don't know how to do that. I've tried this method, but it is returning empty string instead of ID. I tried getting it from DOM elements http://galleria.aino.se/docs/1.2/references/dom/ like $(".galleria-thumbnails img").click(function(){alert((this).id)}); but this method is not working, alert is simply not showing up. Also I did some research here http://galleria.aino.se/docs/1.2/api/methods/ and got this code, but this is showing alert of empty string.
$("#gallery").galleria({
});
myGalleria = Galleria.get(0);
myGalleria.$('thumbnails').click(function(){
alert((this).id);
});
gallery div
<div id="gallery">
<img id="someid" src="http://photoapproaches.files.wordpress.com/2010/03/helen-model-2272.jpg" />
<img id="otherid" src="http://leandrovieira.com/projects/jquery/lightbox/photos/image1.jpg" />
</div>
Console is empty of errors, nothing is showing in console. Also this markup is working fine the gallery plugin is making DOM elements on their own, and that is very frustrating with this situation. DOM structure can be viewed here, but I will link it in here as well http://galleria.aino.se/docs/1.2/references/dom/
<div class="galleria-container">
<div class="galleria-stage">
<div class="galleria-images">
<div class="galleria-image">
<img>
</div>
<div class="galleria-image">
<img>
</div>
</div>
<div class="galleria-loader"></div>
<div class="galleria-counter">
<span class="current"></span>
<span class="total"></span>
</div>
<div class="galleria-image-nav">
<div class="galleria-image-right-nav"></div>
<div class="galleria-image-left-nav"></div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="galleria-thumbnails-container [ carousel ]">
<div class="galleria-thumb-nav-left [ disabled ]"></div>
<div class="galleria-thumbnails-list">
<div class="galleria-thumbnails">
<div class="galleria-image">
<img>
</div>
[...]
</div>
</div>
<div class="galleria-thumb-nav-right [ disabled ]"></div>
</div>
<div class="galleria-info">
<div class="galleria-info-text">
<div class="galleria-info-title"></div>
<div class="galleria-info-description"></div>
<div class="galleria-info-author"></div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="galleria-tooltip"></div>
</div>
Here is a one way to access id of an element:
var currentId = $(this).attr('id');
For your case, you can try this:
myGalleria.$('thumbnails').click(function(){
alert($(this).attr('id'));
});
should it not be alert($(this).id);? (Note the $).
