Embedded tweets displaying on Chrome but not Safari? - javascript

My website dynamically embeds about 20 or so tweets. While testing it using Chrome everything works perfectly, just how I would expect. However, when I test using Safari, the tweets simply do not show up. But when I resize the window, the tweets suddenly appear right where they're supposed to, with the correct size, etc. Has anyone else experienced something similar to this?

Flipbook page backside not showing on Safari

I'm trying to make a flipbook for my website, but I've noticed that the back side of pages don't show up properly on Safari. I've tried all sorts of webkit fixes, including -webkit-backface-visibility, as well as some z-index fixes, yet nothing seems to work.
Here is my code and example on CodePen. On all other browsers, a "1" will appear on the left page, called .back in the code. However, on Safari, I am met with a blank page.
How do I get this working in Safari? Note: It technically works in mobile Safari, but only because I never use the back side of a page to display anything.

chrome on android : my webpages sometimes appears to be full black - need to ex rotate to get it shown?

got this really odd and frustrating issue on my android tablet/android phone, got a webapp (html5/javascript/css) that works fine on chrome desktop - but on mobile and tablet chrome, it happens all too often that when i click into a new page, then the output in the browser is just a pure black page.
What i then can do is to either rotate the device so the screen switches orientation and then the page appears like magic, or i can ex press the multi-tab button and then just click back and it shows.
So it somehow seems to be about redrawing not reloading the page.
Its not everytime it happens but it happens quite alot and i get nothing in debugging or any hints to what is going on.
Looked through the internet for similar issues and there are a few but they are either not replied or they are focused around some youtube issues back some time, or very old issues (2011/2012) - nothing that really points into the problem here.
Anyone have any idea here or input to how i can fix this without having the user to rotate the screen all the time ? its really affecting the usage.
note 1: it is quite heavy on some places on javascript so its not just a standard webpage
note :running latest android latest chrome on android
Look here. It's the same bug.:
How to fix black screen on Google Chrome mobile load page
The bug got fixed Feb 28: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=933374
But it doesn't seem to have made it in the next version of Chrome Android: https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+log/72.0.3626.105..72.0.3626.121?pretty=fuller&n=10000
But the next version again should release with the bug fix (mid April?).
Meanwhile, did you find an easy js workaround for this issue?
Our site is currently useless until this bug-fix get released for Chrome Android?

Changing browser title not blinking browser in taskbar

There are a lot of tutorials on how to do this, and the crux of it seems to be changing the title constantly so the browser tab or taskbar will flash, however this doesn't seem to work for me.
I can see the tab changing its title, but it doesn't flash, so I am wondering if this is something which is no longer allowed by browsers?
I am using Windows 8.1, however have also tried Windows XP
I am using Firefox 25.0.1 and Chrome 31.0.1650.57 and neither of them react how I would expect.
As an example go to:
https://rawgithub.com/heyman/jquery-titlealert/master/example/index.html
(Make sure you click the shield icon in your url bar to allow the scripts to run on that page)
Then if you click the default example button and switch tabs, I would expect the tab hosting that page to blink or flash to indicate the tab has new content, however it doesn't do that for me, although I can see the text changing constantly.
Does anyone else have this issue and know how to solve it or why it occurs? I am looking to implement a feature in a chat system where it notifies you to new messages, however for some reason the code works fine and the title changes, but the taskbar or tab do not flash or anything and the users are really wanting this feature soon.
There seems to be no information on the internet related to this so im a bit confused and came here as a last resort.
In Firefox, tab flashes when title is changed ONLY if it is a pinned tab.

jpg images are not displayed on safari pc / iphone

my website including jpg´s is displayed correctly on IE,FF & Chrome.
Safari on PC and iphone does not display all images.
If i clear safari cache and load page again the other images are not displayed as before.
I cant find any repeating mechanism which images are displayed or possibly not.
If you open the missing image in a new tab, then the image is correctly displayed. That works in all cases.

I already tired to add missing height definition of images and alt tags. But that did not help. Debugger does not show errors. Whats wrong in my code?
PLease check the issue on:

Please, can anyone help?
Code was fixed but the problem was still not solved. I found out that the issue was in the image resize script.
They show up fine when I test it in Safari.
However, there are a lot you can do in the XHTML markup to make it more likely to work in different browsers. For example, you are mixing HTML and XHTML, you are using duplicate id:s, you use height on tables and table cells.
The W3C validation service found 482 errors in the markup. Plenty of them are of course duplicates, but it's still a lot: http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fdigikamera.yweb.at%2FDslr&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0
Safari Wierdness: 340k jpg wasn't displaying, even after clicking the refresh icon. However, if I click in the URL box and then hit ENTER, voila! The jpg displays. But still not when using the refresh button.
iPad Wierdness: If I clear the cache and hit enter after putting in the URL, jpg displays. However, even if jpg is displaying, when I click on the refresh icon, the jpg doesn't display in the reloaded page, although I see by the progress bar in the URL box that it was trying.
So, I placed the jpg into a new file with nothing else and it loads normally, even with the refresh button.
Something in my code is preventing proper caching. I'll figure it out.
24 HOURS LATER: Turns out, I had changed the url reference pointing to the jquery file and didn't put the jquery file in that folder. Sure hopes this helps someone else!

Mootools Javascript slideshow freezes after browsing website

Hi I have been using Rokstories, a mootools javascript slideshow in Joomla, I am having a very odd problem with Rokstories in IE . I have uploaded a temp copy to my server to show everyone.
If you click on my link in IE , the page loads and Rokstories works as normal, sliding from left to right every few seconds......click one of the other menu links, then go back to the home page and Rokstories does something very odd, the dots move along to say that it is going between slides, but the actual slide stays put and dont move.
If you clear your cache and reload the page it works fine again until you browse to another menu item and come back, then the problem starts again.
I have tested this with IE8 and get the problem, I have also tried it in Chrome & Firefox and done see a problem.
http://www.key4design.co.uk/test/index.php
The first thing I notice (apart from the Google Maps API key alert) is that IE throws an error:
Line: 989
Error: 'Cufon' is undefined
Looking on Chrome/Safari/Firefox all throw up 404 on cufon-yui.js & /plugins/system/Cufon/key4font_400-key4font_700-key4font_italic_400-key4font_600.font.js
Our experience has been the IE will sometimes fail when JS files aren't in cache when it expects them to be. You might want to fix those first.
