Error while running grunt "error occurred while processing a template"

I've generated an app using yeoman. ("yo angular")
While runnning "grunt" it fails with error.

I have no clue why this error is coming .
I have made no changes to the generated app.
Also I don't understand why every time i generate an app node_modules folder is created.
Why can't those modules be installed globally ?

I was able to fix this same issue by re-running all my grunt install commands in the project root of the site.
npm install grunt --save-dev
npm install
npm update
npm install grunt-contrib-less
I ran into this issue after merging in work from a few other devs that were working on the same project and had all installed grunt separately from each other. My assumption is that the different installs caused a version conflict.

How to make compile Sass files with the following Grunt configuration?

I can't figure out how to make the sass task work. I want it to compile the style/main.scss file into the file style/main.css file. Right now it doesn't compile anything. What am I doing wrong?

Can you change this

and if that doesn't work then try add cwd property also as it is not able to pick up files relative to your working directory

Grunt Wiredep not updating script tags

I have an Angularjs project generated by Yeoman. This is what's in my bower.json file:

The last dependency is an unregistered Angular library on my Github account which I installed with Bower. For some reason this dependency is not being added to my index.html file when Grunt executes wiredep.
Has anyone encountered this problem or can suggest a fix?

The task wiredep works by injecting the CSS and JavaScript from the package's bower.json main property. Check the package and if it doesn't have this property you can add it as an override like this:

Grunt build tasks doesn't go deeper than root

New to setting my own grunt tasks and used one from a yeoman tool. Been working good until I run "grunt build" and run into a couple of errors. On first, when running just "grunt build" I get a "cssmin" failed. I then use "--force" and all goes until it hits "concat" failed". Commented that out and runs, but only does the html files at the root of my project and not all else. My file structure is based on Angular MVC so I have views, scripts, etc... My grunt file look like:

So, grunt aborts when trying to execute the task concurrent:server. Inside this task, the compass:server task is executed (see the Gruntfile.js below). So, it must have something todo with compass, but I'm not sure if this line Files: [no src] -> server could give more hints to the problem.

Stupid me!
For anybody encountering the same issue:
I had some import errors in my SCSS files. During the live reload of grunt, it would tell you that there is something wrong. But during the startup of grunt serve it just breaks and tells you nothing. So, check your imports and syntax of your SCSS files.

It's import in SCSS files. Try
grunt serve --force
This may force the build process to continue even though your SCSS fails to compile. The end result is you'll start the grunt server and it'll tell you exactly where the build process failed.

Actually, my SCSS has no grammar faults, this happened because I installed compass globally (npm -g), while it needed to be installed as a Ruby gem:
gem install compass

I am not an expert but I find that once the local server is running it will allow lint errors in scss or whatever, then once you stop the server and try to restart it will give this error until you fix the scss errors. You can use grunt check and then just resolve them and try again. 9/10 this is why my server wont restart.
