I have not much experience when it comes to use AngularJS, but I am not a newbie. Worked with it already a little bit.
However, I am using AngularJS with Zurb Foundation 6.
The Controller in my reveal Modal will not use any angular.
For example I can write {{hallo}} and he will not render it, he will show me {{hallo}} and not the value of this variable.
You have to know, that this modal is in a template file for angular, because I am using angular-route.
The strange thing is, that I am already using a modal in the index.html file and there angular in the modal works. But the modal in the template file (called dashboard.html) is not working.
That's my modal:
<div class="row">
<div class="columns large-12 medium-12 small-12" ng-controller="LoadAllUsers">
<button class="button" data-open="newUserModal" ng-click="load()">User hinzufügen</button>
<!-- newUserModal -->
<div class="tiny reveal" id="newUserModal" data-reveal>
<div class="large-12 medium-12 small-12 columns">
<div class="row">
<h4 class="text-center">User zur Miete hinzufügen</h4>
<br>
<label>Username oder Name des neuen Users eingeben</label>
<input type="text" placeholder="Max Mustermann" name="newuser" ng-model="userSearch" ng-change="search()">
<h5>Suchtreffer</h5>{{hallo}}
<button class="button" data-close>Abbrechen</button>
<button class="button float-right">User hinzufügen</button>
</div>
</div>
<button class="close-button" data-close aria-label="Close modal" type="button">
<span aria-hidden="true">×</span>
</button>
</div>
<!-- /newUserModal -->
<button class="button">Miete zurückziehen</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
My controller looks like this
routingApp.controller("LoadAllUsers", function($scope, $http) {
$scope.load = function() {
var allUsers = [];
$http({
method: 'GET',
url: 'someURL',
params: {parameters: "values"}
}).then(function successCallback(response) {
angular.forEach(response.data, function(value, key) {
allUsers[key] = {};
angular.forEach(value, function(subvalue, subkey) {
allUsers[key][subkey] = subvalue;
});
});
$scope.hallo = "AN";
console.log(allUsers);
}, function errorCallback(error) {
console.log(JSON.stringify(error.data));
});
};
$scope.search = function() {
console.log($scope.userSearch);
};
$scope.hallo = "HAAAAAAAAAAALLO";
});
I would appreciate, if anyone can help me.
Thanks
I found the solution: I hat to user Angular Foundation 6. What you have to know is that it is now currently under work, so it may be not as stable as Angular Foundation 5.
However, it helped me solving my problem.

I am new in this field and want to write a app, now I meet some problems. Here is a simple version of my code, what I want is the API only show signUp first. After I press signUp and press submit the button shown should be only signout
Now, my scope variable doesn't work, two button show here. Could you modify it and tell me the reason? Please use the rootscope and scope and sc.logIn() if possible so that I can know how to write in this way. Thanks!

$scope.logged=$rootScope.logged;

angular.module('myApp.signUp').controller('signUpControl',signUpControl);

There are couple of issues with your code.
Whenever you declare a module without a second argument, it just tries to fetch the module that is already declared / defined. In order to create a new module, you need to pass in the dependencies or an empty array, if there are no dependencies.
Also, you need to watch on the changes being done to the scope to ensure your changes are notified to the controllers to make them visible on the view.
Here is the working solution:
angular.module('myApp', ['myApp.dashboard', 'myApp.signUp']);
angular.module('myApp.dashboard', []).controller('mainControl', mainControl);
function mainControl($rootScope, $scope) {
$rootScope.logged = false;
$rootScope.$watch(() => $rootScope.logged, function() {
$scope.logged = $rootScope.logged;
});
}
mainControl.$inject = ['$rootScope', '$scope'];
angular.module('myApp.signUp', []).controller('signUpControl', signUpControl);
signUpControl.$inject = ['$rootScope', '$scope'];
function signUpControl($rootScope) {
this.logIn = function() {
var a = 1;
$rootScope.logged = true;
};
}
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/angular.js/1.5.8/angular.min.js"></script>
<div ng-app="myApp">
<div ng-controller="mainControl as mc">
<div>{{mc.logged}}
<div ng-hide="logged">
<button type="button" class="btn" data-toggle="modal" data-target=".signUp">Sign Up</button>
</div>
<div ng-show="logged">
<button>Sign Out</button>
</div>
</div>
<div class="signUp modal fade" id="signUp" ng-controller='signUpControl as sc'>
<div class="modal-dialog">
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<h4 class="modal-title">sigh up</h4>
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal" aria-label="Close">×</button>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
<form id="signUpForm" name="signUpForm" ng-submit="sc.logIn()">
<label for="email">
<span>email:</span>
<input type="email" name="email">
</label>
<button class="submit" id="signUpSubmit" type="submit" value="signUp">submit</button>
</form>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
For some reason the code snippet doesnt let me submit the form.
You can find a working solution here : Codepen
It is not weird at all.
Open your console, it shows errors.
Your main problem is angular bootstrap error.

I'm trying to create a radio type button selection in AngularJS. Here is my code.
HTML code:
<!-- Page Content -->
<div id="page-wrapper">
<div class="container-fluid">
<h3 class="page-header">Create Products</h3>
<div class="media-list" data-toggle="buttons">
<label class="btn btn-default col-md-2 custom-thumbnail">
<input type="radio" ng-model="platformSel" ng-change="tileSelect(value)" value="win" name="platform-selection" id="win-tile" >
<i class="center-block fa fa-windows fa-5x"></i>
<span class="text-center">Windows</span>
</label>
<label class="btn btn-default col-md-offset-custom col-md-2 custom-thumbnail">
<input type="radio" ng-model="platformSel" ng-change="tileSelect(value)" value="mac" name="platform-selection" id="mac-tile">
<i class="center-block fa fa-apple fa-5x"></i>
<span class="text-center">MAC</span>
</label>
</div>
</div>
<!-- /.container-fluid -->
</div>
<!-- /#page-wrapper -->
Controller code:
(function() {
'use strict';
function config($routeProvider) {
$routeProvider
.when('/createProduct', {
templateUrl: 'app/components/createProduct/createProductView.html',
controller: 'createProductCtrlr'
});
}
function createProductCtrlr($scope, $rootScope, $location) {
$scope.platformSel = '';
$scope.tileSelect = function(target) {
console.log(target + " selected");
};
}
angular
.module('pacman')
.controller('createProductCtrlr', ['$scope', '$rootScope', '$location', createProductCtrlr])
.config(['$routeProvider', config]);
})();
I don't see any call happening in 'tileSelect' function. I have no clue why.
Any help is appreciated. I'm new to Angular JS.
Is there any error in JavaScript console? As mentioned before you are missing ng-app and ng-controller directives.
<div id="page-wrapper" ng-app="pacman" ng-controller="createProductCtrlr">
The rest of the code almost correct but since you bind the radio to a model variable there is no need for passing argument in ng-change function.
$scope.tileSelect = function() {
console.log($scope.platformSel + " selected");
};

Debugging and fixing stuff is real hard. Not as simple as writing code from scratch.
The reason being is, 'data-toggle=buttons' just toggles the bootstrap UI and doesnt make any function calls. Remove the line from html line where class="media-list" and it works.
Answer:
data-toggle="buttons" just toggles the twin button group. Doesnt allow to make function calls.
I have an angular app that consists of a three tabbed form. Each tab is using its own controller and designated service.
When the submit button is pressed on the form, the function found in MainCtrl entitled $scope.postis suppose to post all form field data that was retrieved from each form fields ng-model.
On the server side, I receive the posted object that is formed in the Main Controller. This POST contains all the values for each object property except for work. I receive an empty object as a value for the work property.
Why am I unable to retrieve the work.comments ng-model found in the code for my template? Even when console loggin, I am unable to retrieve this item.
This is my first go at an Angular app and I am really trying to learn how to do things properly. If you happen to notice something inherently stupid, please do let me know.

I'm trying to use in modal (Mobile Angular JS ), but I have not found , any way of setting controller for my modal inside my main controller , and pass parameters. My application is just mobile , it would be wrong to use ui- bootstrap ?

var app = angular.module('apphome', [

}
getEmployers($http, function return(data) {
$scope.employers = data;

});
app.controller('modalEmployersController', function ($scope) {

I Need (I am confused if I can use bootstrap -ui , without jeopardizing my application because it is just mobile. I need to know if the bootstrap -ui will work well . Mobile phones with small screen will use the application can not break the layout.)
$scope.select = function (item) {
var modalInstance = $modal.open({
templateUrl: 'modalemployers.html',
controller: 'modalEmployersController',
size: size,
resolve: {
item: function () {
return item;
}
}
});
}
Thanks all!
Angular UI Bootstrap just provides Angular templates and extensions for Bootstrap CSS. Since Bootstrap CSS supports mobile devices, the Angular UI Bootstrap library does as well.
Note that the only dependencies of Angular UI Bootstrap are Angular >= 1.3.x and Bootstrap CSS >= 3.x.
I was looking to using the Twitter Bootstrap Modal windows as a partial view. However, I do not really think that it was designed to be used in this fashion; it seems like it was meant to be used in a fairly static fashion. Nevertheless, I think it'd be cool to be able to use it as a partial view.
So for example, let's say I have a list of Games. Upon clicking on a link for a given game, I'd like to request data from the server and then display information about that game in a modal window "over the top of" the present page.
I've done a little bit of research and found this post which is similar but not quite the same.
Has anyone tried this with success or failure? Anyone have something on jsFiddle or some source they'd be willing to share?
Thanks for your help.
Yes we have done this.
In your Index.cshtml you'll have something like..
<div id='gameModal' class='modal hide fade in' data-url='#Url.Action("GetGameListing")'>
<div id='gameContainer'>
</div>
</div>
<button id='showGame'>Show Game Listing</button>
Then in JS for the same page (inlined or in a separate file you'll have something like this..
$(document).ready(function() {
$('#showGame').click(function() {
var url = $('#gameModal').data('url');
$.get(url, function(data) {
$('#gameContainer').html(data);
$('#gameModal').modal('show');
});
});
});
With a method on your controller that looks like this..
[HttpGet]
public ActionResult GetGameListing()
{
var model = // do whatever you need to get your model
return PartialView(model);
}
You will of course need a view called GetGameListing.cshtml inside of your Views folder..
I do this with mustache.js and templates (you could use any JavaScript templating library).
In my view, I have something like this:
<script type="text/x-mustache-template" id="modalTemplate">
<%Html.RenderPartial("Modal");%>
</script>
...which lets me keep my templates in a partial view called Modal.ascx:
<%# Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl" %>
<div>
<div class="modal-header">
<a class="close" data-dismiss="modal">×</a>
<h3>{{Name}}</h3>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
<table class="table table-striped table-condensed">
<tbody>
<tr><td>ID</td><td>{{Id}}</td></tr>
<tr><td>Name</td><td>{{Name}}</td></tr>
</tbody>
</table>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<a class="btn" data-dismiss="modal">Close</a>
</div>
</div>
I create placeholders for each modal in my view:
<%foreach (var item in Model) {%>
<div data-id="<%=Html.Encode(item.Id)%>"
id="modelModal<%=Html.Encode(item.Id)%>"
class="modal hide fade">
</div>
<%}%>
...and make ajax calls with jQuery:
<script type="text/javascript">
var modalTemplate = $("#modalTemplate").html()
$(".modal[data-id]").each(function() {
var $this = $(this)
var id = $this.attr("data-id")
$this.on("show", function() {
if ($this.html()) return
$.ajax({
type: "POST",
url: "<%=Url.Action("SomeAction")%>",
data: { id: id },
success: function(data) {
$this.append(Mustache.to_html(modalTemplate, data))
}
})
})
})
</script>
Then, you just need a trigger somewhere:
<%foreach (var item in Model) {%>
<a data-toggle="modal" href="#modelModal<%=Html.Encode(item.Id)%>">
<%=Html.Encode(item.DutModel.Name)%>
</a>
<%}%>
I have achieved this by using one nice example i have found here.
I have replaced the jquery dialog used in that example with the Twitter Bootstrap Modal windows.
Complete and clear example project
http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/786085/ASP-NET-MVC-List-Editor-with-Bootstrap-Modals
It displays create, edit and delete entity operation modals with bootstrap and also includes code to handle result returned from those entity operations (c#, JSON, javascript)
I use AJAX to do this. You have your partial with your typical twitter modal template html:
<div class="container">
<!-- Modal -->
<div class="modal fade" id="LocationNumberModal" role="dialog">
<div class="modal-dialog">
<!-- Modal content-->
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal">
×
</button>
<h4 class="modal-title">
Serial Numbers
</h4>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
<span id="test"></span>
<p>Some text in the modal.</p>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-default" data-dismiss="modal">
Close
</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Then you have your controller method, I use JSON and have a custom class that rendors the view to a string. I do this so I can perform multiple ajax updates on the screen with one ajax call. Reference here: Example but you can use an PartialViewResult/ActionResult on return if you are just doing the one call. I will show it using JSON..
And the JSON Method in Controller:
public JsonResult LocationNumberModal(string partNumber = "")
{
//Business Layer/DAL to get information
return Json(new {
LocationModal = ViewUtility.RenderRazorViewToString(this.ControllerContext, "LocationNumberModal.cshtml", new SomeModelObject())
},
JsonRequestBehavior.AllowGet
);
}
And then, in the view using your modal: You can package the AJAX in your partial and call #{Html.RenderPartial... Or you can have a placeholder with a div:
<div id="LocationNumberModalContainer"></div>
then your ajax:
function LocationNumberModal() {
var partNumber = "1234";
var src = '#Url.Action("LocationNumberModal", "Home", new { area = "Part" })'
+ '?partNumber='' + partNumber;
$.ajax({
type: "GET",
url: src,
dataType: "json",
contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8",
success: function (data) {
$("#LocationNumberModalContainer").html(data.LocationModal);
$('#LocationNumberModal').modal('show');
}
});
};
Then the button to your modal:
<button type="button" id="GetLocBtn" class="btn btn-default" onclick="LocationNumberModal()">Get</button>
Put the modal and javascript into the partial view. Then call the partial view in your page.
This will handle form submission too.
Partial View
<div id="confirmDialog" class="modal fade" data-backdrop="false">
<div class="modal-dialog" data-backdrop="false">
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<h4 class="modal-title">Missing Service Order</h4>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
<p>You have not entered a Service Order. Do you want to continue?</p>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<input id="btnSubmit" type="submit" class="btn btn-primary"
value="Submit" href="javascript:"
onClick="document.getElementById('Coordinate').submit()" />
<button type="button" class="btn btn-default" data-
dismiss="modal">Cancel</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Javascript
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
$(document).ready(function () {
$("#Coordinate").on('submit',
function (e) {
if ($("#ServiceOrder").val() == '') {
e.preventDefault();
$('#confirmDialog').modal('show');
}
});
});
</script>
Then just call your partial inside the form of your page.
Create.cshtml
#using (Html.BeginForm("Edit","Home",FormMethod.Post, new {id ="Coordinate"}))
{
//Form Code
#Html.Partial("ConfirmDialog")
}
