Animation in react-dnd - javascript

In this Angular example, if you drag an apple to the orange section and drop it there, then there is an animation which slowly returns the apple to the spot it came from. This visually communicates that dragging an apple to the orange section is not valid. The Angular drag and drop library used is from codef0rmer.
How would I create a similar animation in react-dnd or another react drag and drop package?
Here is a React drag and drop example with some animation. Can I do something like this with react-dnd, or another widely used package?
The rest is the Angular sample code which is also in plnkr Angular example.

Yes, you can use React DnD (https://github.com/react-dnd/react-dnd) for the actual drag and drop functionality and React Flip Move (https://github.com/joshwcomeau/react-flip-move) or React Motion (https://github.com/chenglou/react-motion) for animating the DOM changes.
They all have enough simple examples/tutorials to get you going..

I think pagepiling.js might be the wrong direction because it just animates on one page, rather than animating between two pages.
The way I've handled stuff like this in the past is with a PJAX plugin like Barba.JS, which allows you to add animated transitions between site navigation events. Barba hijacks the page change by changing the URL manually, grabbing new content for the new page, and performing a transition (in which you can animate elements like Cuberto does!) between the old and new pages.
Let me know if this is helpful, or if I missed the point, and I'll try to update my answer accordingly!
EDIT: Just realized this is a seven-month old question, but hopefully this is helpful to someone nonetheless!

Drag and drop for fill in the blanks using JQuery UI

Below is my scenario explanation in screenshot,
From the above mentioned picture.Brown box positions are defined as droppable and the below choices are draggable.If I drag drop it is working fine.
If I drag another option in already defined place its overlapping for example
What I want to do is it will replace text as "venerated" and already dropped text "supercious" will come back to the text of choices in below box.How can I do this .Please anyone help me to get out of this issue.

I think it might be because of all of the libraries I have? I'm new to app making and JavaScript. Here is my code:

By your comments I see that you are testing your project locally. Use a local server to test your project. Do not open the HTML directly in your browser from the filesystem. Try with Xampp or Wampp.
By the other hand, put the jQuery code inside a document ready event.
$(document).on("ready", function(){
//--- Put the jQuery code here
}
Here you have your code (with the document ready event) running from an web server:

How to set border style for img element in AngularJS

This is a beginners question in AngularJS.
I'm writing a simple application to show a few images and allow the user to toggle selection. Only one image should be selected at any one time.
Anyway, how to set the style to change the border for the img tag. When the user clicks on an image the style should be set. Neither setting the style or custom style myStyle is working (style not applied).
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html ng-app>
<head>
<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/angularjs/1.2.15/angular.min.js"></script>
<script >
function myCtrl($scope, $window) {
$scope.vm = {};
$scope.vm.Courses = [
{ Id: 1, Name: "Course 1"},
{ Id: 2, Name: "Course 2"}
];
$scope.ToggleCourse = function(imageElement) {
console.log("id = " + imageElement.id);
imageElement.style = "{border:'2px solid blue'}"; // doesnt work
imageElement.myStyle = "{border:'2px solid blue'}"; // neither does this///
}
}
</script>
</head>
<body ng-controller="myCtrl">
<div>
<div ng-repeat="course in vm.Courses">
<div>
<div ng-click="ToggleCourse($event.target)">
<label>{{course.Name}}</label>
<img id="card{{course.Id}}" src="course.png" ng-style="myStyle">
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</body>
</html>
You are doing it wrong. Don't use DOM manipulations at all. Just forget about this possibility until you understand why. Instead use ngClass directives (also don't use ngStyle):
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html ng-app>
<head>
<script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/angularjs/1.2.15/angular.min.js"></script>
<script >
function myCtrl($scope, $window) {
$scope.vm = {};
$scope.vm.Courses = [
{ Id: 1, Name: "Course 1"},
{ Id: 2, Name: "Course 2"}
];
$scope.ToggleCourse = function(course) {
$scope.selected = course;
}
}
</script>
<style>
.selected img {border: 2px solid blue;}
</style>
</head>
<body ng-controller="myCtrl">
<div>
<div ng-repeat="course in vm.Courses">
<div>
<div ng-click="ToggleCourse(course)" ng-class="{selected: course === selected}">
<label>{{course.Name}}</label>
<img id="card{{course.Id}}" src="course.png" ng-style="myStyle">
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</body>
</html>
Replace the ng-style="myStyle" with:
ng-class="myStyle"
And define the class in CSS:
.myStyle {border: 2px solid #999;}
The above is the cleaner method as it just sets the necessary class for the <img /> element and you can style it, so that the presentation and styles are separated. You can also use the $scope and define a function and inject the styles.

Angular ng-bind not updated when value changes

I want to bind the content of a span element (that is the current position of the element).
Problem: when I change the element position, angular doesn't update the value of the ng-bind attribute.
This is my html:
!doctype html>
<html lang="en" ng-app="exempleApp">

<script type="text/javascript" src="exempleApp.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/resources/demos/style.css">
<style>
.movable { width: 150px; height: 150px; padding: 0.5em; background- color: green;}
</style>
<script>
$(function() {
$( ".movable" ).draggable(
{
drag: function(){
var offset = $(this).offset();
var xPos = offset.left;
var yPos = offset.top;
var thisId = $(this).attr('id');
$('#' + thisId + ' .posX').text(xPos);
$('#' + thisId + ' .posY').text(yPos);
}
}
);
});
</script>
</head>
<body ng-controller="imgController as ctrl">
<div id="1" class="ui-widget-content, movable" >
<p>Drag me around</p>
<span class="posX" ng-bind="ctrl.presentation.images[0].posX"></span>
<span class="posY" ng-bind="ctrl.presentation.images[0].posY"></span>
</div>
<div id="2" class="ui-widget-content, movable" >
<p>Drag me around</p>
<span class="posX" ng-bind="ctrl.presentation.images[1].posX"></span>
<span class="posY" ng-bind="ctrl.presentation.images[1].posY"></span>
</div>
<div >
<span ng-bind="ctrl.presentation.images[0].posX"></span>
<span ng-bind="ctrl.presentation.images[0].posY"></span>
</div>
</body>
</html>
And this is my exempleApp.js:
(function() {
var app = angular.module("exempleApp", []);
app.controller('imgController', function(){
this.presentation = pres;
});
var pres = {
images: [
{
posX: "0",
posY: "0"
},
{
posX: "0",
posY: "0"
}
]
};
})();
Thanks for the help
https://docs.angularjs.org/api/ng/directive/ngBind
Typically, you don't use ngBind directly, but instead you use the
double curly markup like {{ expression }} which is similar but less
verbose.
Try this:
<span class="posX">{{ctrl.presentation.images[1].posX}}</span>
Full explanations Databinding in AngularJS
I may have misunderstood your question. It's my understanding that ng- bind binds the value of the html to the value of the object. That is, it's going to read the value from the object, not set it. So when the object changes, the html gets updated. Not the other way around.

};
<p>Note changes: - 1)created a drag directive.then apply it to div.movable.
2)initial position will give you position of draggable div on page load.
3)scope.$apply(); plays important role here without this values will not be apply changes. for more information about $apply visit $apply
