I want to give action to iframe with blur and focus,
The scenario of my code is,I written a android question in webpage,beside that question I displayed android phone picture,what ever the code written below the question,the output will be shown in that picture and if you are out of browsing area,the title will shown as inactive.
action should be infocus or outfocus.
for this command I am writing,
<div class="andr_app">
<iframe src=" <%= request.getContextPath()%>/images/mob_empty.png" width="400px" height="800px" id="iFrameUrl${questionId}" class="mobileDisplayIframe" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>
</div>
Please help me in this.
The iFrame element doesn't have focus or blur events, so you need to use the window.
var iframe = document.getElementById('iframe');
var iframeWindow = iframe.contentWindow;
iframeWindow.onfocus = function(){
//focussed
}
iframeWindow.onblur = function(){
//blurred
}
Reference: answer
Finally I got my answer,but not in iframe.
I change iframe to object,
<object data="<%= request.getContextPath()%>/images/mob_empty.png" width="325px" height="560px" style= "padding-right: 85px"; id="iFrameUrl${questionId}" id="iFrameUrl${questionId}" class="mobileDisplayIframe" frameborder="0" scrolling="no">
</object>

I have included iframe to other web page as below
<script type="text/javascript">window.addEventListener("message", function(e){var $iframe=document.getElementById("my-iframe"); var eventName=e.data[0]; var data=e.data[1];switch(eventName){case "setHeight": $iframe.height=parseInt(data); break; case "scrollToTop": $iframe.scrollIntoView(); break;}}, false);
</script>
<div style="width:100%; text-align:left;" >
<iframe src="http://mywebpage.com/list?mode=iframe" frameborder="0" height="1000" width="100%" vspace="0" hspace="0" marginheight="5" marginwidth="5" scrolling="no" allowtransparency="true" id="my-iframe"></iframe>
</div>
I have three tabs in iframe page, first tab contains data which don't have long content but third tab having long content.
When i open third tab, iframe height doesn't get increased. Iframe height remains same when loaded for first time and remaining page's content gets hidden.
How can i fix this ?
I have used TBHTML tabs for tab rendering as below.
echo TbHtml::tabbableTabs($tabs);
you can use iframe-resizer jquery plugin to overcome this issue
http://davidjbradshaw.github.io/iframe-resizer/
example
http://davidjbradshaw.com/iframe-resizer/example/
For this you can use following code
document.getElementById("my-iframe").height = (document.getElementById('my-iframe').contentWindow.document.body.scrollHeight) + 'px';
There is a iframe fb group like, and need to hide it on click, but jQuery doesnt work
<script>
$(".closeFrame").click(function(){
$("#test").remove();
});
</script>
<div id = "test" class='like-btn'>
<iframe = "#" class="closeFrame" src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fzhelechka&width=51&layout=button&action=like&show_faces=false&share=false&height=65&appId" width="51" height="65" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowTransparency="true" ></iframe>
</div>
First of all, you need to understand the difference between the two elements: the button is the one that has to be clicked and the other element (the div or the iframe) is the one that is going to be hidden. It is important to understand this correctly in order to code the script properly.
Javascript code (using jQuery)
$(".hide").click(function () {
$(".elementtohide").hide();
});
See it in action: JSFiddle
Explanation
The idea is to attach an event to the button that has to be clicked in order to receive the user's click (this is made with the jQuery method called .click()). Inside that, we must especify what is going to happen when the click is done, so we make a call to the jQuery method called .hide() in order to hide the element (I have used a div but you can use an iframe or whatever you want).
Note: as mentioned in comments, .hide() and .remove() have different behaviours: the first one just adds the style display: none to the element and the second removes the element from the DOM, which means that if you had to show it again, you would have to create it. Use the one that better fits your needs.
A code like this can work
<div id = "test" class='like-btn'>
<iframe = "#" onclick="this.parentNode.style.display = 'none'" class="closeFrame" src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fzhelechka&width=51&layout=button&action=like&show_faces=false&share=false&height=65&appId" width="51" height="65" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowTransparency="true" ></iframe>
</div>
but
When you click into an iframe you will click on another part of the world so will not work so the code above will work only if the element isn't an iframe(if is a DIV can work)
so
the solution should be
<div id = "test" class='like-btn'>
<button onclick="document.getElementById('test').style.display = 'none'" value="Press me" name="closeBtn"/>
<iframe = "#" onclick="this.parentNode.style.display = 'none'" class="closeFrame" src="https://www.facebook.com/plugins/like.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2Fzhelechka&width=51&layout=button&action=like&show_faces=false&share=false&height=65&appId" width="51" height="65" style="border:none;overflow:hidden" scrolling="no" frameborder="0" allowTransparency="true" ></iframe>
</div>
I have a iframe like this
<iframe name="myframe1" id="myframe1" width="100%" height="100%" src="a.html">
<html>
<head></head>
<frameset name="myframe2" cols="0%, 100%" border="0" frameBorder="0" frameSpacing="0">
<frame name="page1" src="c.html" scrolling="no"></frame>
<frame name="page2" src="d.html" >
<html>
<head></head>
<body id="top">
<div id="div1">
<div id="div2">
<div id="div3">
<ul id="x">
<li>a</li>
<li>b</li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</body>
</html>
</frame>
</frameset>
</html>
</iframe>
I want to refer to the element "x". I tried in several ways but I couldn't find a solution.
document.getElementById('myframe1').contentWindow.document.getElementById('x')
Fiddle
contentWindow is supported by all browsers including the older versions of IE.
Note that if the iframe's src is from another domain, you won't be able to access its content due to the Same Origin Policy.
use contentDocument to achieve this
var iframe = document.getElementById('iframeId');
var innerDoc = (iframe.contentDocument)
? iframe.contentDocument
: iframe.contentWindow.document;
var ulObj = innerDoc.getElementById("ID_TO_SEARCH");
(this is to add to the chosen answer)
Make sure the iframe is loaded before you
contentWindow.document
Otherwise, your getElementById will be null.
PS: Can't comment, still low reputation to comment, but this is a follow-up on the chosen answer as I've spent some good debugging time trying to figure out I should force the iframe load before selecting the inner-iframe element.
You need to make sure the frame is fully loaded
the best way to do it is to use onload:
<iframe id="nesgt" src="" onload="custom()"></iframe>
function custom(){
document.getElementById("nesgt").contentWindow.document;
}
this function will run automatically when the iframe is fully loaded.
In my case I was trying to grab pdfTron toolbar, but unfortunately its ID changes every-time you refresh the page.
So, I ended up grabbing it with this one-liner:
const pdfToolbar = document.getElementsByTagName('iframe')[0].contentWindow.document.getElementById('HeaderItems');
As in the array written by tagName you will always have the fixed index for iFrames in your application.
Apologies I don't have enough reputations to add a comment but maybe writing an answer is ok in this case. I've been looking to change the css of some html in an Iframe. I have a bookmarklet code which works outside an iframe so I'm nearly there:
javascript:(function(){ var style = document.createElement('style'), styleContent = document.createTextNode('.notifications-list--cMVsqVbKkaXV4SQ {zoom: 0.8!important;}'); style.appendChild(styleContent); var caput = document.getElementsByTagName('head'); caput[0].appendChild(style); })();
my iframe is called xm-feed-iframe
so I guessed you'd change the code to
document.getElementById('xm-feed-iframe').contentWindow.document.getElementById('x')
But I needed to work with a class in order to change the css styles. So I guess it might be as simple as changing
var caput = document.getElementsByTagName('head')
to
var caput = document.getElementById('xm-feed-iframe').contentWindow.document.getElementsByTagName('head')
so the final code would be
javascript:(function(){ var style = document.createElement('style'), styleContent = document.createTextNode('.notifications-list--cMVsqVbKkaXV4SQ {zoom: 0.8!important;}'); style.appendChild(styleContent); var caput = document.getElementById('xm-feed-iframe').contentWindow.document.getElementsByTagName('head'); caput[0].appendChild(style); })();
And hey presto it worked. I can now delve a little deeper and add some counters hopefully to the list which appears in the iframe! :)
Any comments about the code would be most appreciated as I'm self taught!
Hope this helps someone else
Thanks
UPDATE:
Here we are - I know have a numbered list using a bookmarklet. My life will be so much easier now as I will no longer loss track of all the items I need to download. :D
I'm using JS to build some HTML that includes the new iframe syntax from YouTube.
When someone clicks a link on the page to a YouTube video, JS checks the document size and if it's big enough, will open up a lightbox-style box on the page and play the video there.
When I test it out, it opens the HTML but the space is just white and the source code shows an empty <iframe> element.
Is there a problem with trying to dynamically add an iframe to a page?
Here is the relevant part of the JS:
iframe = '<iframe width="'+defaults.width+'" height="'+defaults.height+'" src="'+vidsrc+'" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>';
container = '<div class="videopow-overlay"><div class="videopow-container">' + iframe + '</div></div>';
$("body").prepend( container );
Here is what gets output:
<div class="videopow-overlay">
<div class="videopow-container">
<iframe width="800" height="485" src="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phzvyIQWCo8?hd=1" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen="">
<html><head></head><body></body></html>
</iframe>
</div>
</div>
Change vidsrc from:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phzvyIQWCo8?hd=1
to
http://www.youtube.com/embed/phzvyIQWCo8?hd=1
I have an iframe that looks like this:
<iframe src="http://www.google.com" height=1000 width="500" id="myiframe"></iframe>
I want to create a link so that when I click on it, the iframe on the page changes. How can I do that using jQuery? Is it related to jQuery attr?
You don't need jQuery for that. You don't even need JavaScript for that.
Give your iframe a name, and target your anchors to point to it:
Foo
Bar
Baz
<iframe name="myiframe"></iframe>
This degrades nicely for people who have JavaScript turned off.
on clicking in the link "click here" // it will take move the link to the iframe as specified....
Click Here
<iframe src="blank.html" frameborder="0" name="test" id="test" width=1200 height=800></iframe>
