I have already made a custom graph using highchart. But it doesn't look same with design.
this is chart that i already custom
this is design that what i want
this is my code that i build using vue js,

This is my first try making custom chart using highchart with a difficult pattern. I have already tried my best to make that design match with required one. I am still learning javascript and css (with the framework(vue)). I request someone to please help me to solve that problem.
NET MVC Project, where I use Highcharts. In my charts i have columns and a spline.
I have already implemented drilldown for my chart and it works perfectly, but only for the columns. On the first level the columns and the spline is shown, but when I trigger drilldown only the columns are shown. data2 should be the spline.
var mychart = Highcharts.chart('container', {
chart: {
zoomType: 'xy',
spacingBottom: 40,
spacingTop: 40,
events: {
// DRILLDOWN
drilldown: function (e) {
//Some variables id, func
$.getJSON(`/Home/GetDataForMinuteDrilldown?id=${id}&function=${func}`, function (data) {
console.log(data);
var durationArrMinutes = data.map(function (item) {
return item['minuteavg'];
});
var errorArrayMinutes = data.map(function (item) {
return item['errorsperminute']
});
var minuteArray = data.map(function (item) {
return {
name: drill + ":" + item['minute'],
y: item['minuteavg'],
drilldown: item['minute']
};
});
data2 = {
name: 'Errors per Minute',
type: 'spline',
data: errorArrayMinutes,
tooltip: {
valueSuffix: ' '
}
}
data = {
name: 'Average Duration per Minute',
type: 'column',
yAxis: 1,
data: minuteArray,
tooltip: {
valueSuffix: ' ms'
},
data2 //I think this is the error, but I i know no solution
}
console.log('Data:')
console.log(data);
mychart.hideLoading();
mychart.addSeriesAsDrilldown(e.point, data);
});
}
}
},
title: {
text: 'Performance and Error Analytics'
},
subtitle: {
text: 'Analytics of: ' + func
},
xAxis: [{
type: 'category',
crosshair: true
}],
yAxis: [{ // Primary yAxis
labels: {
format: '{value}',
style: {
color: Highcharts.getOptions().colors[1]
}
},
title: {
text: 'Errors',
style: {
color: Highcharts.getOptions().colors[2]
}
}
}, { // Secondary yAxis
title: {
text: 'Duration in ms',
style: {
color: Highcharts.getOptions().colors[0]
}
},
labels: {
format: '{value} ms',
style: {
color: Highcharts.getOptions().colors[0]
}
},
opposite: true
}],
tooltip: {
shared: true
},
legend: {
layout: 'vertical',
align: 'center',
x: 0,
verticalAlign: 'bottom',
y: 50,
floating: true,
backgroundColor:
Highcharts.defaultOptions.legend.backgroundColor || // theme
'rgba(255,255,255,0.25)'
},
series: [{
name: 'Average Duration per Hour',
type: 'column',
yAxis: 1,
data: durationPerHourArray,
tooltip: {
valueSuffix: ' ms'
}
}, {
name: 'Errors',
type: 'spline',
data: errorArray,
tooltip: {
valueSuffix: ' '
}
}],
drilldown: {
activeAxisLabelStyle: {
textDecoration: 'none',
fontStyle: 'normal',
color: 'black'
},
series: []
}
});
The addSeriesAsDrilldown method allows to add only one series to drilldown. From source code:
Chart.prototype.addSeriesAsDrilldown = function (point, options) {
this.addSingleSeriesAsDrilldown(point, options);
this.applyDrilldown();
};
Instad of addSeriesAsDrilldown, you can use internal addSingleSeriesAsDrilldown method to add both series and call applyDrilldown:
mychart.addSingleSeriesAsDrilldown(e.point, data);
mychart.addSingleSeriesAsDrilldown(e.point, data2);
mychart.applyDrilldown();

I want to make the format of my y axis series to only return 2 decimal places.
I have this code:
$('#main-graph').highcharts({
chart:{
zoomType:'xy',
type: 'spline'
},
title: {
text: '',
x: -20 //center
},
xAxis: {
categories: stat_date,
crosshair:true,
},
yAxis: [
{ //0
title: {
text: 'Impressions'
},
},
{//1
title:{
text: "Clicks"
}
},
{ //2
title:{
text: "CTR"
}
},
{ //3
title:{
text: "CPM"
}
},
{ //4
title:{
text: "CPC"
}
},
{ //5 - secondary axis which is the SPEND axis
title: {
text: "Spend",
style:{
// color: Highcharts.getOptions().colors[0]
color: "#8B8B8B"
}
},
opposite:true
}],
tooltip: {
shared: true,
valueDecimals: 2
// pointFormat: "{point.y:,.2f}"
},
legend: {
layout: 'horizontal',
align: 'top',
verticalAlign: 'top',
borderWidth: 0,
floating:true,
x: 0,
y: 0
},
series: [{
name: 'Spend',
data: spend,
yAxis: 5,
type:'column'
}, {
name: 'Impressions',
data: imp,
yAxis: 0,
}, {
name: 'Clicks',
data: clicks,
yAxis: 1
},
{
name: 'CTR',
data: ctr,
yAxis: 2
}, {
name: 'CPM',
data: cpm,
yAxis: 3
}, {
name: 'CPC',
data: cpc,
yAxis: 4
}
]
});
}
I tried adding this line of code:
dataLabels: {
enabled: true,
formatter: function () {
return Highcharts.numberFormat(this.y,2);
}
}
but it isn't working.
Any ideas? your help will be grealty apprecaited!
Thanks!
I would like to have something similar to the image below, but the columns representing the classes all stack together now. How do I separate them and allow them to load dynamically as well?
Also I need a legend that says green is band 1, yellow is band 2, orange is band 3 and red is band 4, how do i do that as well? My code is in the JS Fiddle page. I am not allowed to use jQuery, need to use pure JavaScript.
var options = {
chart: {
renderTo : 'container',
type: 'column'
},
title: {
text: 'Topic & Subtopic Mastery'
},
subtitle: {
text: 'Average Level-Stream Mastery vs Average Class Mastery'
},
xAxis: {
categories: topics
},
yAxis: {
min: 0,
max: 100,
title: {
text: 'Mastery'
}
},
legend: {
layout: 'vertical',
backgroundColor: '#FFFFFF',
align: 'left',
verticalAlign: 'top',
x: 100,
y: 70,
floating: true,
shadow: true
},
tooltip: {
shared: true,
valueSuffix: ' %'
},
plotOptions: {
column: {
grouping: false,
shadow: false
}
},
series: resultsData
};

I came up with a solution you are looking for with specifying x and y axis data for level and giving appropriate width to the point.
$(function() {
var chart;
$(document).ready(function() {
var i = 0;
Highcharts.getOptions().colors = Highcharts.map(Highcharts.getOptions().colors, function(color) {
if (i == 0) {
i++;
return Highcharts.Color(color)
.setOpacity(1)
.get('rgba');
} else {
i++;
return Highcharts.Color(color)
.setOpacity(0.5)
.get('rgba');
}
});
var colors = Highcharts.getOptions().colors;
chart = new Highcharts.Chart({
chart: {
renderTo: 'container',
type: 'column',
plotBackgroundColor: null,
plotBorderWidth: null,
plotShadow: false,
borderColor: null
},
title: {
text: 'Mailboxes over Quota'
},
subtitle: {
text: 'Mailbox Size in MB'
},
exporting: {
enabled: false
},
credits: {
enabled: false
},
xAxis: {
categories: ["Overall Topic", "Topic 1", "Topic 2"],
title: {
text: null
}
},
yAxis: {
min: 0,
title: {
text: 'Total',
align: 'high'
},
allowDecimals: false,
},
tooltip: {
formatter: function() {
return '' +
this.series.name + ': ' + Highcharts.numberFormat(this.y, 0, '.', ',');
}
},
legend: {
enabled: true
},
credits: {
enabled: false
},
series: [{
name: 'Level',
color: colors[0],
data: [{
y: 86,
x: 0.25
}, {
y: 80,
x: 1.25
}, {
y: 95,
x: 2.25
}],
pointWidth: 80
}, {
name: '4A',
data: [90, 88, 97]
}, {
name: '4B',
data: [95, 78, 92]
}, {
name: '4C',
data: [80, 69, 84]
}]
});
});
});
To show in label inside your column you can use below code.
plotOptions: {
column: {
dataLabels: {
enabled: true,
formatter: function() {
return this.series.name;
},
y: 25,
}
}
}
You can see it in action at this JSFIddle
Kindly take a look at following fiddle in which i tried to remove the categories but on removing categories its placing numbers instead of it by default and also showing those numbers in tooltip.
All I am trying to do is that categories or numbers doesnot display on chart or on tooltip and only stackedbar appears on the chart , So kindly let me know how can i do it .Thanks,

$(function () {
var data = [ {
name: 'Year 2008',
data: [0, 914, 4054, 732, 34]
}];
data = $.grep(data, function (category) {
return $.grep(category.data, function (item) {
return item > 0;
}).length > 0;
});

},
yAxis: {
min: 0,
title: {

},

}
},

valueSuffix: ' millions'
},
plotOptions: {

borderWidth: 1,
backgroundColor: '#FFFFFF',

},

});
});
I'm not 100% sure of what you are asking for. But, to turn off the XAxis or yAxis labels, juse labels : {enabled:false} and to change the tooltips use tooltip:{formatter: function() {...}}
see this fiddle:
http://jsfiddle.net/6ypq4/
xAxis: {
title: {
text: null
},
labels : {
enabled: false
}
},
yAxis: {
min: 0,
title: {
text: 'Population (millions)',
align: 'high'
},
labels: {
overflow: 'justify',
enabled: false
}
},
tooltip: {
formatter: function() {
return this.y + ' millions';
}
},
