<input type="text" class="form-control" id="datetimepicker2" />

$('#datetimepicker1').datetimepicker();
$('#datetimepicker2').datetimepicker();
The Problem I am facing is that, once I open the widget and select it, it is not closing but if I click on the body it will close.
I work around by subscribe event 'dp.change' to close it:
$('#datetimepicker1').datetimepicker()
.on('dp.change', function(){
$('#datetimepicker1').data("DateTimePicker").hide();
});
$('#datetimepicker2').datetimepicker()
.on('dp.change', function(){
$('#datetimepicker2').data("DateTimePicker").hide();
$('#datetimepicker2').blur(); // blur its focus
});

I have used CKEditor django plugin in my form modal. But when i try to show ADD button below the CKEditor, the button doesn't appear in the UI at all.
As shown in the below image, I have currently kept the Add button on the top of the CKEditor text box as its not appearing when placed at the bottom.
Below is the HTML code snippet
<div class="row">
<div class="col-md-12">
<div class="form-group">
<label for="">Driver Name</label>
<input type="text" class="form-control" name="dn" id="dnn" required="True" />
</div>
<div class="form-group">
<label for="st">Driver Description</label>
<textarea name="editor1" id="editor1"></textarea>
<script>
CKEDITOR.replace( 'editor1' );
</script>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button type="submit" class="btn btn-primary up">
ADD
</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<script src="https://cdn.ckeditor.com/4.5.6/standard/ckeditor.js"></script>
Can someone please suggest how to make the add button make it appear below ckeditor.
If you are using Bootstrap 4, You can use the Order feature if your elements are wrapped inside a flex container.
Your code should look similar to this:
<div class="row">
<div class="d-flex">
<div class="col-md-12">
<div class="form-group">
<label for="">Driver Name</label>
<input
type="text"
class="form-control"
name="dn"
id="dnn"
required="True"
/>
</div>
<div class="form-group">
<label for="st">Driver Description</label>
<textarea name="editor1" id="editor1"></textarea>
<script>
CKEDITOR.replace("editor1");
</script>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer order-1">
<button type="submit" class="btn btn-primary up">
ADD
</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<script src="https://cdn.ckeditor.com/4.5.6/standard/ckeditor.js"></script>

I tried a couple of things. Setting the display of the parent div to absolute and some other css stuff i found on the webs but cant remember. But nothing helped.
I would really appreciate some help.
Thanks in advance!!
You should separate both forms and set a callback on your fadetoggle function (there's a completion event, use that to your favor). Try something like:
$("#phone-form").hide();
$("input[name=checkbox]").click(function(){
if($("#mail-form").is(':visible')){
$("#mail-form").fadeToggle(function(){
$("#phone-form").fadeToggle();
});
} else {
$("#phone-form").fadeToggle(function(){
$("#mail-form").fadeToggle();
});
}
});
Also, check out the api:
http://api.jquery.com/fadetoggle/
I would go with #Mauricio Cárdenas' answer, but if you absolutly must have them fade at the same time, you can do this:
<style>
#parentDiv{position:relative}
#mail-form, #phone-form{position:absolute;top:0}
</style>
<div ID="parentDiv">
<div id="mail-form" class="mail-form">
//Your form code
</div>
<div id="phone-form" class="phone-form">
//Your form code
</div>
</div>
This sets both forms to absolute and places them at the same position. Adding the parent div set to relative assures the forms position won't be set by the body.
I use bootstrap-datepicker and want to have a second addon with a checkbox.
I don't want trigger the show of datepicker when i click in the checkbox addon.
I tested the stopPropagation, return false on the onclick event of the second addon but it doesn't work :(
<div class="container">
<div class ="form-group">
<label class="col-sm-2 control-label" >Received Date</label>
<div class="col-sm-2 input-group date" data-date-format="mm-dd-yyyy" id="ARDT">
<input class="text-input form-control" type="text" name="ARDT" maxlength="10" />
<span class="input-group-addon"><i class="glyphicon glyphicon-calendar"></i></span>
<span class="input-group-addon test"><input type="checkbox"/></span>
</div>
</div>
</div>
with this javascript :
$(document).ready(function() {
$('#ARDT').datepicker();
$('.date .test').click(function(e){
e.stopPropagation();
});
});
you can view live on this jsfiddle : http://jsfiddle.net/5a5xzz10/4/
Can you help me ?
Thanks
Whiletrue
EDIT : Found a solution :
<div class ="form-group">
<label class="control-label" >Received Date OK</label>
<div class="input-group">
<div class="input-group date" data-date-format="mm-dd-yyyy" id="ARDT2">
<input class="text-input form-control" type="text" name="ARDT" maxlength="10" />
<span class="input-group-addon"><i class="glyphicon glyphicon-calendar"></i></span>
</div>
<span class="input-group-addon"><input type="checkbox"/></span>
</div>
</div>
embbed the input-group for the datepicker inside another and put the second input-group-addon just after
like here : http://jsfiddle.net/5a5xzz10/6
I have an answer but it doesn't seems very elegant.
I added the checkbox after started the datepicker generation.
$(document).ready(function() {
$('#ARDT').datepicker();
$("div.date").append($('<span class="input-group-addon test"><input type="checkbox"/></span>'));
});
When I click on my next button and it goes to step 2 and if I reload the page I would like to make sure it stays on the same div that I am on.
The 2 divs I use are join_form_1 and join_form_2
At the moment it when I reload page it goes back to first div
How can I make it stay on the div I am on?
Codepen Example Here
$(document).ready(function(){
$("#join_form_2").hide();
$("#step_1_link").addClass("active");
$("#next").click(function(){
$("#step_1_link").removeClass("active");
$("#step_2_link").addClass("active");
$("#join_form_1").hide();
$("#join_form_2").show();
});
});

You can use javascript cookie API here
So when user clicks 'Next'
Cookies.set('active', 'join_form_2');
Than if user clicked in the previous session, show form 2.
if (Cookies.get('active') == 'join_form_2') {
$("#join_form_1").hide();
$("#step_1_link").removeClass("active");
} else {
$("#join_form_2").hide();
$("#step_1_link").addClass("active");
}
Here is working codepen.
The easiest and most reliable way to do this is to use Fragment_identifier along with :target pseudo selector.
This will work even if cookies are disabled. And since you're using bootstrap, it's easy to style <a> tags like buttons.
For example:
if (!window.location.hash) {
window.location.hash = 'step1';
.steps:not(:target) {
display: none;
}
step1
step2
<div id="step1" class="steps">Step1</div>
<div id="step2" class="steps">Step2</div>
I am using this code inside $(document).ready(function(){ ... }):
$('#flavours').on('click', '.toggle-quantity', function(e){
e.preventDefault();
var $quantity_percent = $(this).parent().find('.quantity_percent');
if($quantity_percent.is(':hidden')){
console.log("is hidden");
$quantity_percent.show();
}else{
console.log("is not hidden");
$quantity_percent.hide();
}
});
What's happening is the console.log() is working, but the $quantity_percent is not showing/hiding.
Additionally, if I add an alert('test') to the beginning of the function (just after e.preventDefault) this also doesn't work, but the console.log() continues to work (it correctly logs 'is not hidden').
EDIT: Relevant HTML markup:
<div id="flavours">
<div class="row flavour" id="flavour_1" style="display: block;">
<div class="form-group">
<div class="col-xs-12">
<fieldset>
<legend>Flavour 1</legend>
<div class="col-sm-4">
<label>Flavour Name</label>
<input type="text" value="" name="flavour_name[]" data-flavour-id="1" id="flavour_name_1" class="form-control autocomp" placeholder="Flavour name">
<input type="hidden" value="" name="flavour_id[]" id="flavour_id_1" class="form-control flavour_id">
<p class="flavour_info"></p>
</div>
<div class="col-sm-6">
<label>Flavour Quantity <span class="fa fa-filter"></span> <span class="hidden-sm">Switch to </span>drops per ml</label>
<div class="input-group" id="quantity_percent">
<input type="text" class="form-control" id="flavour_percentage_1" name="flavour_percentage[]" placeholder="Flavour Quantity">
<span class="input-group-addon">%</span>
</div>
<div class="input-group" id="quantity_drops" style="display: none;">
<input type="text" class="form-control" id="flavour_drops_1" name="flavour_drops[]" placeholder="Flavour Quantity">
<span class="input-group-addon">drops/ml</span>
</div>
<p class="flavour_recommended_percentage"></p>
</div>
<div class="col-sm-2">
<label> </label>
<button class="btn btn-danger btn-block remove-flavour"><span class="glyphicon glyphicon-remove"></span> Remove</button>
</div>
</fieldset>
</div>
</div>
</div>
$(this).parent() is a label element which doesn't have a child with .quantity_percent
Also quantity_percent is an id and not a class. Use the ID selector
So use
var $quantity_percent = $('#quantity_percent');
instead of
var $quantity_percent = $(this).parent().find('.quantity_percent');
Note: IDs must be unique in HTML
EDIT: as per OPs comments
I updated it to a class rather than ID (as it's on a dynamically growing list)
Usage
var $quantity_percent = $(this).closest('.col-sm-6').find('.quantity_percent');
The .parent() targets the <label> therefore it can't find .quantity_percent
