I am using Bootstrap Validator(bootstrapValidator.js) for form validations. With this I added jQuery UI Multiselect component in to my bootstrap page. But this component requires 1.5.1/jquery.min.js and Bootstrap Validator requires jquery-1.10.2.min.js, Because of this two different version on the same page validator is not working. If I use only updated version of Js (jquery-1.10.2.min.js) then Multiselect component stops working. Please help....
try to add the files in the order:
js/jquery-1.10.2.min.js
js/jquery-ui.js (if file exists in the project :))
jquery.min.js (1.5.1)
js/bootstrap.min.js (if file exists in the project :))
js/bootstrapValidator.min.js (if file exists in the project :))
other js
if it does not work http://api.jquery.com/jQuery.noConflict/
Have you tried inncluding all js and css files in the head tag, and include order is critical: first include jquery library, next bootstrap, next plugin for validator. Then check your html code for errors. I found this tutoral online [http://www.jqueryscript.net/form/Powerful-Form-Validation-Plugin-For-jQuery-Bootstrap-3.html]

This is code that I have and I just can't seem to get the theme to be applied to the html code.
I have found a solution that allows for the set-up to work, the css links were added after the jQuery mobile css link.
Also when using the jQuery links, the mobile css file was placed first followed by the 2 javascript files, first the jquery.min.js then the jquery.mobile.1.4.5.min.js.
With the js files they were added after the css and in the order listed below.
Also I used a local deployment.
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"
href="jQuery/jquery.mobile-1.4.5/demos/css/themes/default/jquery.mobile-1.4.5.min.css">

I am trying to integrate a custom html SaaS template in Laravel 7. I have put the template JS and CSS files in public directory and created a master blade in which I have link these js and css files. But somehow it is not working correctly. I do know that there is some issue with the app.js file but I am unable to identify the actual reason.
I will appreciate if anyone can guide me in this regard.
CSS Files Path:
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8" />
<title>{{ config('site_name')}} | Dashboard</title>
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0">
<!-- App favicon -->
<link rel="shortcut icon" href="{{url('images/favicon.ico')}}">
<!-- Bootstrap Css -->
<link href="{{ url('css/bootstrap.min.css')}}" id="bootstrap-style" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
<!-- Icons Css -->
<link href="{{ url('css/icons.min.css')}}" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
<!-- App Css-->
<link href="{{ url('css/app.min.css')}}" id="app-style" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
#yield('theme_style')
</head>
JS Files Path:
<script src="{{url('libs/jquery/jquery.min.js')}}"></script>
<script src="{{url('libs/bootstrap/js/bootstrap.bundle.min.js')}}"></script>
<script src="{{url('libs/metismenu/metisMenu.min.js')}}"></script>
<script src="{{url('libs/simplebar/simplebar.min.js')}}"></script>
<script src="{{url('libs/node-waves/waves.min.js')}}"></script>
<!-- apexcharts -->
<script src="{{url('libs/apexcharts/apexcharts.min.js')}}"></script>
<script src="{{url('js/pages/dashboard.init.js')}}"></script>
<!-- App js -->
<script src="{{url('js/app.js')}}"></script>
#yield('theme_script')
The blade is loading but functionality related to some css and js is not working. All the files are linked correctly and loading in view page source.
Note: I also try 'npm run dev' to compile the files.
I found a solution to this question, actually I was using url() helper function for linking css/js path. I made two changes to my files:
1) I put all files in a folder as it was placed in a default html template.
2) I used URL::asset() OR asset() helper function to link my files.
After that i clear the cache and run the project. It just worked.
I'm working on a simple cms app but I can't get the Full Calendar plugin to display the calendar. I've followed the steps that I found online and nothing has worked. I've been trying to solve this problem for a week and can't figure it out. I've checked the console for errors and it looks good.
So I wanted to reach out. My app is built in PHP, my code is included below. I've linked to everything and the jquery is working.
The code for the calendar I've included in the head section.

$('#calendar').fullCalendar({
weekends: true
});
});
</script>
</head>
In the HTML on the calendar page I have this included.
<div id="calendar"></div>
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I know this question is old and you may have already found the solution, however, i will give my answer to help anyone else that may be running into the same issue.
I found that when the console is giving you the error that fullcalendar is not a function and your code seems to be correct, its for the following reason.
If you are using bootstrap, you need to remove the Jquery link provided in the bootstrap starter template. You have already loaded jquery in the header, by doing it again in the body, it is creating the error.. I hope it helps!
You have an extra ) on .fullCalendar(), should be:
$('#calendar').fullCalendar({
//options
});
Example below:
$(document).ready(function() {
// page is now ready, initialize the calendar...
$('#calendar').fullCalendar({
weekends: true
});
});
<link href="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/fullcalendar/3.1.0/fullcalendar.min.css" rel="stylesheet" />
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/moment.js/2.17.1/moment.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/fullcalendar/3.1.0/fullcalendar.min.js"></script>
<div id="calendar"></div>
I made a webpage that inputs user's feedback using a form. On successful submit I display a thank you message on the same page, for which I'm using javascript.
The code executes well when I put the javascript on the same page. However, when I tried to separate the script onto a file (in a test webserver), it stopped executing.
Can you please help?

Move your javascript folder into public_html. As Quentin commented, your server likely isn't set up to serve any files outside public_html.
I am a beginner programmer and I'm trying to make a web page that displays a JQuery Inline Date and Time Picker. As I was researching, I found this documentation: DateTimePicker. I followed the steps of first importing the JS and CSS files (after the closing body tag) using these tags:
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="jquery.datetimepicker.css"/ >
<script src="jquery.js"></script>
<script src="jquery.datetimepicker.js"></script>
Following those tags, I called on my <input> from my Home.html file with the id of datetimepicker. Then using that id, I copied the code from the tutorial that creates the Inline DateTime Picker Calendar, like so:
$('#datetimepicker').datetimepicker({
inline:true
});
So my Home.html file looks like this:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<meta name="viewport" content="initial-scale=1.0, user-scalable=no">
<meta charset="utf-8">
<title>Home</title>
<!-- Compiled and minified CSS -->
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/materialize/0.97.0/css/materialize.min.css">
<!-- Compiled and minified JavaScript -->
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/materialize/0.97.0/js/materialize.min.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="./jquery.datetimepicker.css"/>
<script src="//code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.2.js"></script>
</head>
<body>
<h3>Inline DateTimePicker</h3>
<input type="text" id="datetimepicker"/><input type="button" onclick="$('#datetimepicker3').datetimepicker({value:'2011/12/11 12:00'})" value="set inline value 2011/12/11 12:00"/><br><br>
</body>
<!-- CALLS JQUERY LIBRARY FOR DATE AND TIME PICKER -->
<!-- this should go after your </body> -->
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="jquery.datetimepicker.css"/ >
<script src="./jquery.js"></script>
<script src="./jquery.datetimepicker.js"></script>
<script>
$('#datetimepicker').datetimepicker({
inline:true
});
</script>
</html>
However, when I run this code, I get an error that says:
TypeError: 'undefined' is not a function (evaluating '$('#datetimepicker').datetimepicker({
inline:true
})')
This is what is displaying:
This is what I want to display:
How can I get an Inline calendar to display on my Home.html page?
Put
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="jquery.datetimepicker.css"/ >
<script src="./jquery.datetimepicker.js"></script>
between your <head></head> tags and remove
<script src="./jquery.js"></script>
I had the same sort of issue , If download the the source code from the XDSoft site
there is build folder , try using jquery.datetimepicker.full.js file from build folder .
You need to include jquery-ui.js
Do not confuse between jQuery versions. You first referenced jQuery here:
<script src="//code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.2.js"></script>
And then you are doing it here:
<script src="./jquery.js"></script>
Please remove one. As the newer jQuery will be active and it doesn't have the plugin registered.
