$.mobile.loading refusing not to work - javascript

As the title suggests I'm looking to call the $.mobile.loading method when a user clicks a button to sign them up. Now this has worked a good 50+ times around the website but for some reason the code below doesn't open the $.mobile.loading dialog but it runs the code though. Not to sure why this is happening on this particular situation.
<div id ="diaglogfacebookuserdetails" data-role="dialog" data-theme="a">
<div data-role="header">
<h3 class="headerdialog">Almost Done</h3>
</div>
<div data-role = "content">
<center>
<div class="alert-message info">
<div class="box-icon"><img src="css/images/info.svg"></div>
<div id="diaglogfacebookuserdetailsmessage"></div>
</div>
<input type="text" name="diaglogfacebookuserdetailscell" id="diaglogfacebookuserdetailscell" placeholder="Enter your Cell Number" />
<select id="diaglogfacebookuserdetailsuni" class = "searchuniversity">
</select>
<select name="diaglogfacebookuserdetailscampus" id="diaglogfacebookuserdetailscampus" class = "signupuniversitycampus">
</select>
<input type="submit" id ="facebookuserdetailsbutton" name="facebookuserdetailsbutton" value="SUBMIT" data-theme="a"/>
</center>
</div>
</div>
Here is the JS:
$(document).on('pageinit',"#diaglogfacebookuserdetails",
function(){
$("#facebookuserdetailsbutton").click(
function()
{
$.mobile.loading( 'show', {
text: 'Signing you Up!',
textVisible: true,
theme: 'a',
html: ""
});
//lots of Code
$.mobile.loading( 'hide' );
});
});

Because you hide the loading dialog right after showing it. Try delaying closing it (as in this demo) or hide when data is successfully uploaded to server.
setTimeout(function () {
$.mobile.loading('hide');
}, 1000);

Magnific Pop up wont close when you press Cancel on the Modal

I am using Magnific Pop up on a project, currently I have it on a ASP MVC project as a Modal:
Modal
div id="js_DeleteNewSongsPopup" class="theme-primary ajax-form popup-basic admin-form mfp-with-anim modalPopup">
<div class="panel">
<div class="panel-heading">
<span class="panel-title">
<i class="fa fa-ban "></i>Reject Selected Song
</span>
</div>
#* Information Body *#
<div class="panel-body p25">
<div class="section row">
<div class="col-md-12 text-center">
<h3>
Are you sure you want to <b class="text-danger">reject</b> the selected Songs?
</h3>
<p>
Please note, these will be <b class="text-danger">deleted</b> and no longer accessable
</p>
</div>
</div>
</div>
#* Form Body *#
<div class="panel-footer">
<div class="text-center">
<fieldset>
<input type="button" class="btn btn-primary js_CancelForm" value="Cancel" data-bind="click: function(){ $.magnificPopup.close(); }">
<input type="button" class="btn btn-danger js_DeleteNewSongsButton" value="Delete" data-bind="click: $root.submitDeleteNewSongs">
</fieldset>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<button title="Close (Esc)" type="button" class="mfp-close">×</button>
JavaScript
/* Delete New Songs Popup*/
$(document).on("click",
".js_DeleteNewSongs",
function (e) {
e.preventDefault();
var popup = $("#js_DeleteNewSongsPopup");
$.magnificPopup.open({
removalDelay: 500, //delay removal by X to allow out-animation,
items: {
src: $(popup)
},
callbacks: {
beforeOpen: function (e) {
this.st.mainClass = 'mfp-slideUp';
},
close: function () {
}
},
midClick: true
// allow opening popup on middle mouse click. Always set it to true if you don't provide alternative source.
});
return false;
});
Any ideas as there is no console errors being reported. I am also unsure why it is working on another page, when the mark-up is identical
Try:
$('body').removeClass('panel-body p25');
Or
$('body').removeClass('theme-primary ajax-form popup-basic admin-form mfp-with-anim modalPopup');
Basically you need to remove the "modal" class.
Ended up using:
$('.js_CancelForm').on("click", function () {
$.magnificPopup.close();
});
Now the Popup closes as expected.

jquery seems not to work inside bootstrap 4 popover

I want to send data via jquery (jquery-3.2.1.min.js) and ajax from inside of a bootstrap popover.
The popover works fine, but I cannot get the submit to work.
I initialized the popover with
$(document).ready(function() {
$(function(){
$("[data-toggle=popover]").popover({
html : true,
content: function() {
var content = $(this).attr("data-popover-content");
return $(content).children(".popover-body").html();
},
title: function() {
var title = $(this).attr("data-popover-content");
return $(title).children(".popover-heading").html();
}
});
});
});
This is the html trigger:
<span tabindex="0" role="button" data-toggle="popover" data-placement="right" data-popover-content="#comment230" data-original-title="" title="">
<img src="/ds/img/comment.svg" alt="comment" height="16px">
</span>
And this is the html inside the popover:
<div id="comment225" style="display:none;">
<div class="popover-heading">Comments</div>
<div class="popover-body">
<div class="commentbody">
<div>
<fieldset>
<div class="input text">
<label for="comment">Comment</label>
<input name="comment" id="comment" type="text" />
</div>
</fieldset>
<button class="submittest" id="acomment225button">Test</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
For testing reasons I did this:
$(".submittest").click(function(e) {
alert('test');
e.preventDefault();
});
The alert does not work from buttons inside the popover, but from buttons placed on the rest of the page.
How can I get this to work?
Those DOM elements are not present at the time you are subscribing to the event.
You need to hook up to events in this fashion:
$(document).on("click", ".submittest", function(e){
alert("test");
});

Code mirror not working with angular js binding variable

Html:
<body ng-app ng-controller="OrderFormController">
<!--<h1 class="errorHeader">List of Classes</h1>-->
<header>
<div class="container">
<div id="branding">
<h1>Apex <span class="highlight"> Editor </span> </h1>
</div>
</div>
</header>
<div class="col-md-12 col-lg-12">

<div class="panel-heading">

</div>
<div class="panel-body">
<div>

</div>
<div class="btn-group-vertical" style="padding: 1%">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-primary" id="editBtn">Edit</button>

</div>
<div class="tab-content" align="left">

<img src="../img/ajax-loader.gif" id="loaderImage" style='display:none'>

<textarea ng-model="apexClassWrapper.body" id="code" name="code" readonly="true" >{{apexClassWrapper.body}}</textarea>
</form>
</div>
<button type="button" class="btn btn-primary" id="saveBtn" ng-click="postdata(apexClassWrapper)">Save</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<script src="../js/makeEditable.js"></script>
<script>
$(function() {
var editor = CodeMirror.fromTextArea(document.getElementById("code"),{
linenumber : true,
matchBrackes: true,
mode: "text/x-apex"
})
});
</script>
<footer>
<p>Web based Apex Editor</p>
<p>Developed By - Nagendra Kumar Singh</p>
</footer>
</body>
CSS and JS files included at top:
<script src="../js/codemirror.js"></script>
<script src="../js/apex.js"></script>
<script src="../js/matchbrackets.js"></script>
<link href="../css/codemirror.css" rel="stylesheet"/>
The controller is a simple one fetching the class through a RESTApi.
function OrderFormController($scope, $http) {
$('#autocomplete').autocomplete({
type: 'POST',
serviceUrl: 'http://localhost:8989/getSuggestion',
onSelect: function (suggestion) {
console.log('suggestion.value -> '+suggestion.value);
var data = {
apexClassName:suggestion.value
};
var config = {
params: data
};
$('#loaderImage').show();
$http.get("http://localhost:8989/getApexBody",config).then(function (response) {
$scope.apexClassWrapper = response.data;
$('#loaderImage').hide();
});
}
});
};
But I can only see {{apexClassWrapper.body}} in my text area, I dont see the real code when using CodeMirror, If I remove code mirror , I can see the class, but I cannot figure out a way to show the body with CodeMirror included.
There are no errors in console log and all the JS and CSS files are loaded perfectly. Please help.
Ok, So I think I may have figured it out. What I did is I set a timeout for the codemirror code to run as follows in the js file and removed it from the index.html.
$('#loaderImage').show();
$http.get("http://localhost:8989/getApexBody", config).then(function (response) {
$scope.apexClassWrapper = response.data;
$('#loaderImage').hide();
if(globalEditor) {
globalEditor.toTextArea();
}
setTimeout(function (test) {
var editor = CodeMirror.fromTextArea(document.getElementById('apexBody'), {
lineNumbers: true,
matchBrackets: true,
mode: "text/x-apex"
});
globalEditor = $('.CodeMirror')[0].CodeMirror;
}), 2000
});
The only issue in this answer is that, it creates multiple code editor window when I try to load different classes. How can I resolve that?
So finally got it working, defined a global variable and using the method toTextArea

in meteor how to stop functionalities to work at a time?

In meteor, I have created a cards dynamically after submitting the form. and the dynamic card contains the show and hide buttons. When I click on show option button the hidden part is showing for all the cards instead of that particular card. the problem is the card is creating dynamically so I thought that is problem .. how to make the functionality to work separately to the each card.
Here I am attaching the code:
<div id="newActionCard">
{{#each newaction}}
<div class="workflowcard">
<div class="module-card">
<div class="res-border"></div>
<div class="card-img"></div>
<div class="res-content">
<div class=" assigned-team">{{team}}</div>
<div class=" newaction-name">{{action_title}}</div><hr>
<div class="description">{{description}}</div>
<div class=" due-on">Due on:{{d_date}}</div><hr>
<div class="subcontent">
{{> actioncardsubcontent}}
</div>
<div class="reqext">
{{> requestextensioncard}}
</div>
</div>
<div class="due">
Due on:
<div>
<span class="day-stamp">THU</span><br>
<div class="date-stamp">26</div>
<div class="month-stamp">AUG
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="btn-box newaction">
<button type="button" class="cancelsub" >New Action</button>
<button type="submit" class="createbtnsub" >Show Options</button>
</div>
<div class="btn-box showoption">
<button type="button" class="hideoption" style="display:none">Hide Options</button>
</div>
{{/each}}
</div>
In JS I have written the hide and show functionalities in the events..now how to stop functionality to all cards at a time.
Here is my JS:
Template.workflow.events({
"click .createbtnsub" : function() {
$( ".subcontent" ).show();
$('.createbtnsub').hide();
$('.cancelsub').hide();
$('.hideoption').show();
$('.requestextension').show();
},
"click .hideoption": function(){
$('.subcontent').hide();
},
"click .hideoption": function(){
$(".subcontent").hide();
$('.cancelsub').show();
$('.createbtnsub').show();
$('.requestextension').hide();
$('.hideoption').hide();
$('.reqext').hide();
},
"click #createActionBtn": function(){
$('#createAction').hide();
$('.editw').show();
$('.hidew').show();
},
});
Template.actioncardsubcontent.rendered = function(){
this.$(".subcontent").hide();
};
Template.requestextensioncard.rendered = function(){
this.$(".reqext").hide();
};
Template.workflow.helpers({
getWorkflow: function(){
return Workflow.find();
},
user: function(){
return Meteor.users.find({});
},
getNewaction: function(){
return Newaction.find();
},
});
Please see the following and adjust the selectors as needed:
"click .showoption": function(event){
$(event.currentTarget).next('button').show();
}
This will work for selecting sibling elements, however as a tip I would recommend rewriting your template.helper that returns the cards data from the database into something more specific.
Something like dynamic classes based on index or id so your class/id names would return as follows .showoption-12kjddfse4 . Then you can just get the attribute of the current target and apply it to your js selector.
Also as kind of an explination to why all buttons were showing, is you were using the class selector, which is meant for grabbing groups of elements/nodes. This is also another reason to created more specific classnames/ids to your use case.
So in your class name you could do something like
<button class="showoption" id="{{_id}}">button</button>
<button id="hiddenoption-{{_id}}" class="hiddenoption">button</button>
Then selecting your elements would be easier as follows:
'click .showoption'(event) => {
let id = event.currentTarget.getAttribute(id);
document.getElementById('hiddenoption-'+id).style.display = 'block';
}

Twitter Bootstrap popover not working on first click

I am showing a popover when i click on an anchor. But the popover is not triggering on the first click, how ever it works on the second click.
HTML:
<!-- Pop Check -->
<div class="popover-markup">
<input class="checkbox-inline" type="checkbox" value="Option1">
Option1
<!-- Popup Content-->
<div class="content hide">
<div class="head hide">Select Users For Option1<span class="close_popover"><i class="fa fa-times"></i></span></div>
<div>
<label class="checkbox-inline">
<input type="checkbox" id="" class="si_DSCM" value="user6"> User 6
</label>
</div>
</div>
</div>
JS:
$(document).on('click', ".popover-markup>.trigger", function () {
$(this).popover({
html: true,
title: function () {
return $(this).parent().find('.head').html();
},
content: function () {
return $(this).parent().find('.content').html();
}
});
});
This is my Fiddle: https://jsfiddle.net/47pef6g8/
I found similar questions but it didn't help me in my case.
Please help. Thanks in advance.
Looking at your code its very clear that you are initializing the popover on the click. Therefore it is taking two clicks to display the popover. My suggestion to you would be to initialize popover on load of the document.
Check the sample Fiddle based on your question.
$('[data-toggle="popover"]').popover({
html: true,
title: function () {
return $(this).parent().find('.head').html();
},
content: function () {
return $(this).parent().find('.content').html();
}
});
Hope this helps.
