ZeroClipboard/ng-clip hover-state for button inside table issue - javascript

I am using ng-clip which utilizes ZeroClipboard library. But I am having this hover state issue with the button to copy.
On table row hover it does go back to full opacity. But when I go to click button it suddenly removes the hover state and hover state doesn't stay active.
Here is my jsfiddle http://jsfiddle.net/meetgodhani/yu1t5g2v/. And following is my code.
CSS
.sample-button
{
opacity:0.3;
}
.table-hover>tbody>tr:hover>td .sample-button {
opacity:1;
}
JavaScript
angular.module('clip', ['ngClipboard']);
function Main($scope) {
$scope.copytext = "Copy me !";
}
HTML
<h1> ngClip Example </h1>
<table class="table table-hover">
<thead>
<tr>
<th>#</th>
<th>Button</th>
</tr>
</thead>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td>1</td>
<td>Button</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
Any idea how to fix it ?
Help would really be appreciated.

Here is your solution I think

onDomready
I changed the menu options of JSFiddle.
I hope it can help. It must be like "document ready" in jQuery.

datatable js DOM elements positioning issue

I have a small formatting issue. It can be because I don't fully understand the data tables formatting.
HTML code
<div class="col-sm-9 col-sm-offset-3 col-md-10 col-md-offset-2">
<h1 class="page-header">Test Runs</h1>
<div class="table-responsive">
<table class="table table-striped" id="tests">
<thead>
<tr>
<th>#</th>
<th>Name</th>
<th>Link</th>
</tr>
</thead>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td>1,001</td>
<td>Lorem</td>
<td>ipsum</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>1,001</td>
<td>Lorem</td>
<td>ipsum</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
</div>
The outer div is present because i have a side menu bar which is not shown here.
JS code
$(document).ready(function() {
$('#tests').DataTable( {
dom:
"<'row'<'col-sm-3'l><'col-sm-6 text-center'B><'col-sm-3'f>>" +
"<'row'<'col-sm-12'tr>>" +
"<'row'<'col-sm-3'i><'col-sm-6 text-center'B><'col-sm-3'p>>"
} );
} );
In the above js code, if I don't add "dom" element the filter results and search bar are not in the same row , they are one below the other.
The same applies to information and pagination.
I want the four elements to be in four corners of the screen.
eg:
length changing input control : top left
filtering input : top right
table information summary : bottom left
pagination control : bottom right.
With the current code (with the "dom" added) I am able to achieve this but now there is a horizontal scroll which I don't want.
Can someone tell me what mistake I made.
You can place the relevant elements in the bootstrap panel.
$(document).ready(function() {
var table = $('#example').DataTable({
"dom": '<"panel panel-default"<"panel-heading"<"row"<"col-md-6"l><"col-md-6 text-right"f>>>t<"panel-footer"<"row"<"col-md-6"i><"col-md-6 text-right"p>>>>'
}); });
Demo : http://jsfiddle.net/a62hqqf9/
You can also look again for the use of DOM elements : datatable dom
The main reason for horizontal scroll is negative margins of .row. You need to remove negative margins with custom class. I have added .no-gutters in the snippet example as you are probably using Bootstrap 3. If you are using Bootstrap 4, the class comes with Bootstrap CSS.

Cannot get table row selection working with semantic-ui table

I'm trying to adopt Semantic-UI and I'm having some trouble. I'd like to get row selection to work in a table.
I'm using their sample HTML below:
<table class="ui selectable celled table">
https://jsfiddle.net/yjuoqdcy/
You can see that hovering over the rows does nothing. I'm guessing I'm missing some sort of behavior or event hook up but I cannot find much in the documentation.
Thanks for your helps.
It appears that you are using an old version (1.11.8) of the Semantic UI framework. Upgrading to the the latest version will allow you to use row selection without the need of custom CSS.
selectable table was introduced in version 2.0.0. - Release notes
<link href="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/semantic-ui/2.1.8/semantic.min.css" rel="stylesheet" />
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/semantic-ui/2.1.8/semantic.min.js"></script>
<table class="ui selectable celled table">
<thead>
<tr>
<th>Name</th>
<th>Status</th>
</tr>
</thead>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td>John</td>
<td>No Action</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Jamie</td>
<td>Approved</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Jill</td>
<td>Denied</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
Do you mean you want the background of the cell to change colour when you mouse over it?
If so all you need is something like this.
table tr:hover {
background: #CCCCFF;
}
https://jsfiddle.net/link2twenty/cae2k9fy/
You can add custom style to the rows using tr:hover. Do styling as necessary with
tr:hover {
background-color: #f5f5f5;
}

Column toggle not working when append the table rows dynamically

In jQuery mobile v 1.4.5 i used table rows append dynamically with column toggle but it does not work for the rows which are dynamically generated.
<table id="tab" data-role="table" data-mode="columntoggle" class="ui-responsive">
<tbody id="tb" >
<thead id="th">
<tr id="tr1">
<th>First</th>
<th data-priority="1">Second</th>
<th data-priority="2">third</th>
</tr>
</thead>
</tbody>
</table>
Here is the Fiddle what I tried.
I referred this jQuery mobile document.
Note: I want to insert the table rows at the top of the previous rows (dynamically added rows that why I used "after" property).
Edited:
New link is the below to locate created new row on the top of the table
http://jsfiddle.net/txej8qhj/6/
The below link works fine;
http://jsfiddle.net/txej8qhj/3/
Probably you too know. Sometimes we may overlook somethings. You should separate the thead and tbody element. Actually thead element first comes in a table like the below;
<table>
<thead>
</thead>
<tbody>
</tbody>
</table>
Check the below link out to use as guide;
http://demos.jquerymobile.com/1.4.5/table-column-toggle/#&ui-state=dialog
You need to call refresh and trigger create functions on the table element.
Please, try the below:
$("#tr1").after(newrow);
$('#tab').table("refresh").trigger("create");

Drop Down Content/Table and Page Jumping

I am coding a page with several dynamic/sortable tables in it (one below another) to share PDF documents. Each Document tittle in the table contain a link to open the PDF in a new tab. Everything works fine, BUT when I scroll down the page and open a dynamic table/or minimize the table, the page jumps to top of the page/to default position. JavaScript's RETURN FALSE fixes this problem but all the links in the table are dead. Can anyone help to fix this? I attach the basic code structure here you can see what I am doing...
HTML:
<div id ="fifth">
<ul id="droptable">
<li><h1>Tittle of The Dynamic Table5</h1>
<div>
<table class="sortable" width="100%" border="0">
<tr>
<td id="tablehead" width="55%">Sort by tittle</td>
<td id="tablehead" width="25%">Sort by Author</td>
<td id="tablehead" width="25%">Sort by date</td>
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td id="tabledata" width="55%"><a href="document1.pdf" target="_blank">Document1Name</td>
<td id="tabledata" width="25%">AuthorX</td>
<td id="tabledata" width="25%">DateX</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td id="tabledata" width="55%"><a href="document2.pdf" target="_blank">Document2Name</td>
<td id="tabledata" width="25%">AuthorX</td>
<td id="tabledata" width="25%">DateX</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td id="tabledata" width="55%"><a href="document3.pdf" target="_blank">Document3Name</td>
<td id="tabledata" width="25%">AuthorX</td>
<td id="tabledata" width="25%">DateX<a></td>
</tr>
</table>
</div>
</li>
</ul>
</div>
JAVASCRIPT:
// Dropdown Table Code
$(function(){
$('#droptable li a').each(function(){
$(this).click(function(){
$(this).siblings('div').slideToggle(300); // If I add RETURN FALSE here the page doesn't jump to the default position/to the top of the page (when open or minimize the table) BUT links in the table are out and don't work anymore //
});
});
});
2 things
1st id's should be unique, so change all instances of
id="tabledata"
to
class="tabledata"
2nd, try to give you td's that contain the link a different class than those that have data, then attach slide toggle to that class, maybe like:
$('.newclass').each(function(){
.....
I didn't succeed with the hints you gave but thanks anyway! I did everything but page was still jumping when opening/closing the table. BUT...I was browsing different forums and found this simple answer.
Using "#/" instead of "#" and the page won't jump. Hmm.. sometimes the answer is too simple, seemingly :o
<div id ="fifth">
<ul id="droptable">
<li><h1>Tittle of The Dynamic Table5</h1> ...
Rock'nRoll!

fixed headers in table, html

i had an table like this
<div style="overflow:auto">
<table>
<thead><tr style="position:fixed"><th></th></tr></thead>
</table>
</div>
Now my problem is when i scroll div the header(that is tr element) is fixed it works fine but when i scroll the scrollbar of window the header tr is not fixed inside the div. I moves along the scroll bar of the window... Can any one help me to find out the solution please
I don't know If I'm getting your question right, but you may find this helpful http://fixedheadertable.com/
Sorry, I tried to do it in CSS alone, but that didn't work out, so you do need a bit of Javascript.
<div style="overflow:auto; position:relative;"
onscroll="document.getElementById('fixedtr').style.top = this.scrollTop+'px';">
<table>
<thead>
<tr style="position:absolute; top:0; left:0" id="fixedtr">
<th>Table header</th>
</tr>
</thead>
See jsFiddle.
This is how you want it, right?
