-Someone talked about server misconfiguration, what is it ?
EDIT:
-It seems to be a server malfunction... I'm trying to conatct my web hoster...
Here is how I call my scripts:
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.0.2/jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="Ressources/retour.js"></script>
<script src="Ressources/testhead.js"></script>

Here is the html code:
<li id="menu"><a class="modalbox" href="#inline">Contactez Nous</a></li>

After form submission the data retrieved from php code is returned in ajax function.
When I bind the return response to id="result" HTML, I get result with empty form as well.

How do I fix the POST 405 error for an email form (PHP) hosted on http-server?

I am new to PHP and jQuery. I wanted to test the functionality for the email contact form in PHP that I call from my jQuery file. I have been filling in the details on the form correctly, however, whenever I press the "Submit" button, I get 405 error.
To be more precise, I get "POST http://192.168.87.1:8080/js/inc/contactformhandler.php 405 (Method Not Allowed)" from jquery-3.4.1.min.js:2. I am running my website on http-server !.

You should use form in .php file not in .html file

PHP contact form bug

I have a contact form using html and i also have a sendEmail.php file.
Everything works on the front end and notified that the email has been sent but it never seems to come to my inbox.
I can't identify why this is happening?
Help is much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Here is HTML
<div class="form-field">
<input name="contactName" type="text" id="contactName" placeholder="Name" value="" minlength="2" required="">
</div>
<div class="row">
<div class="col-six tab-full">
<div class="form-field">
<input name="contactEmail" type="email" id="contactEmail" placeholder="Email" value="" required="">
</div>
</div>
<div class="col-six tab-full">
<div class="form-field">
<input name="contactSubject" type="text" id="contactSubject" placeholder="Subject" value="">

<!-- contact-success -->
<div id="message-success">
<i class="fa fa-check"></i>Your message was sent, thank you!<br>
</div>
Here is the sendEmail.php
$siteOwnersEmail = 'info#jalina-digital.co.uk';
if($_POST) {
$name = trim(stripslashes($_POST['contactName']));
$email = trim(stripslashes($_POST['contactEmail']));
$subject = trim(stripslashes($_POST['contactSubject']));
$contact_message = trim(stripslashes($_POST['contactMessage']));
// Check Name

}
// Check Email

And here is some JS.
var ssContactForm = function() {
/* local validation */
$('#contactForm').validate({
/* submit via ajax */
submitHandler: function(form) {
var sLoader = $('#submit-loader');
$.ajax({
type: "POST",
url: "inc/sendEmail.php",
data: $(form).serialize(),
beforeSend: function() {
sLoader.fadeIn();
},
success: function(msg) {
// Message was sent
if (msg == 'OK') {
sLoader.fadeOut();
$('#message-warning').hide();
$('#contactForm').fadeOut();
$('#message-success').fadeIn();
}
// There was an error
else {
sLoader.fadeOut();
$('#message-warning').html(msg);
$('#message-warning').fadeIn();
}
},
error: function() {
sLoader.fadeOut();
$('#message-warning').html("Something went wrong. Please try again.");
$('#message-warning').fadeIn();
}
});
}
});
};
The code you have written has some errors.
1) In your HTML form it show <button class="submitform">Submit</button> you must just a name to that input example <input type="submit" name="send" class="submitform">Submit</input>
2) In your PHP sendEmail file if($_POST) must become if(isset($_POST['send']))
Accordingly making these corrections will solve. Also Note Sending mail in PHP will not instant receive msg this may take some time.

Contact form does not validate on an iphone

The following contact form is not validating when submitting from an iphone...
It can be previewed here: loaistudio.com/contact
When I tried to submit the form without felling the fields, it opened a new blank page showing number 1 only on the top left side "which is not suppose to do at all" and actually sent the form empty... It does not do that on desktop.
I played around with the code trying to find the issue but no idea where is the problem! please help.

</html>
you are adding jquery at the end of the html but you are using jquery before that, so javascript breaks with Uncaught ReferenceError: $ is not defined.
try moving this line to header:
<script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.10.2/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
$("#contactForm").submit(function(event) {
event.preventDefault();
$submit = $(this).find('button[id="submit"]');
var posting = $.post($(this).attr('action'), $('#contactForm').serialize());
posting.done(function(data) {
$('span.error').remove();
if (data == "1") {
$submit.text('Sent. Thank You!');
$submit.addClass("sent");
$submit.attr('disabled', 'disabled');
} else {
$submit.after('<span style="display: inline-block; padding: 15px 5px; color: #bd3d3d">Failed to send the message, please try again later.</span>');
$submit.text('Try Again');
}
});
});
</script>
This is code You have added AND THEN INCLUDED JQUERY, :) SO USE JQUERY IN HEADER !

$body .= "Email: <b>" . $email . "</b><br>";
$body .= "Phone: <b>" . $phone . "</b><br><br>";
$body .= "Message:<br><hr><br><b>" . $message . "</b><br>";
$body .= "<br></body></html>";
$subject = 'Contact Form Email from ' . $name;
$header = "From: $to\n" . "MIME-Version: 1.0\n" . "Content-type: text/html; charset=utf-8\n";
mail($to, $subject, $body, $header);
?>
The validation works perfect but when I enter values in all field it shows sending... as the message and doesn't show Email successfully sent at all even after hours and hours of waiting. It seems it does nothing after I click on send button.
Modify ur js for this code make sure phpfile var have url path or put contact.php in same directory
jQuery.post('contact.php', formid.serialize(), function() {
console.log('success');
formid.find(".sendingmessage").hide();
formid.find(".successmessage").fadeIn();
resetform();
});
