I have this script:
$('#openBtn').click(function(){
$(".modal-body").load("/show.php?fFuehIFj1L0vS6Hp", {oi: $("#oi").val(), txtid: $("#txtid").val()}, function(result){
$('#myModal').modal({show:true});
});
});
And this html:
Open modal
<div id="myModal" class="modal hide fade" tabindex="-1" role="dialog">
<div class="modal-header">
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal">×</button>
<h3>Modal header</h3>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
<p>My modal content here…</p>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button class="btn" data-dismiss="modal">Close</button>
</div>
I want to send POST variables and retrieve remote page every click, but now it sends POST variables on only first click, after that i must refresh my page .
did you mean hashchange on javascript?
just like this
site.com/blah#content=1
function hash()
{
var hash = window.location.href;
hash = split("#", hash);
hash = hash[1]; // this is hash param
return hash;
}
$(window).on('hashchange', function() {
$("#page").load("index.php?"+hash());
});
$(window).ready(function() {
$("#page").load("index.php?"+hash());
});

I have a presentation with user notes. The button processing works for me, a modal window appears. Now I need to set its title and body when downloading. I get the body from the parent class of the button, no problem with that.
Here is my code:
const buttons = Array.from(document.querySelectorAll('.card .btn-info'));
function heangleClick() {
const parent = this.parentNode;
console.log($(this).parent().find('.fullBody').html());
$('#exampleModalCenter').modal('show');
$('#exampleModalLongTitle').val('123'); // not work
};
buttons.forEach((button) => {
button.addEventListener('click', heangleClick);
});
<div class="modal fade" id="exampleModalCenter" tabindex="-1" role="dialog" aria-labelledby="exampleModalCenterTitle" aria-hidden="true">
<div class="modal-dialog modal-dialog-centered" role="document">
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<h5 class="modal-title" id="exampleModalLongTitle">Modal title</h5>
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal" aria-label="Close">
<span aria-hidden="true">×</span>
</button>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
...
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-secondary" data-dismiss="modal">Close</button>
<button type="button" class="btn btn-primary">Save changes</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<script src="~/js/showTittleTodo.js"></script>
How can i set values in js file exampleModalLongTitle and modalBody
You try below which is not work.
$('#exampleModalLongTitle').val('123');// not work
Please replace below instead of that
$('#exampleModalLongTitle').text('123');
Try to set html or text instead val.
$('#exampleModalLongTitle').html('123');
try with this code:
$('#exampleModalCenter').modal('show');
$('#exampleModalCenter').on('shown.bs.modal', function() {
$('#exampleModalLongTitle').val('123');
})
Update your js as following, using shown.bs.modal event on modal element you can attach a callback which fires when the modal window is completely shown
const buttons = Array.from(document.querySelectorAll('.card .btn-info'));
function heangleClick() {
const parent = this.parentNode;
console.log($(this).parent().find('.fullBody').html());
$('#exampleModalCenter').one('shown.bs.modal', function() {
$('#exampleModalLongTitle').val('123');
})
$('#exampleModalCenter').modal('show');
};
buttons.forEach((button) => {
button.addEventListener('click', heangleClick);
});
I am trying to make two ajax calls to get amazon servers link and after that I am trying to play it in a modal but getting this I don't know how to solve or is there any other way in first ajax call I am taking the url from my own server and by that url's page I am trying to get amazon server's link after that I am trying to play a video i.e. on that link but it's not working
<script>
$(document).ready(function(){
$('.activityinstance').click(function(){
var url = $(this).find("#mod_id").attr('data-link');
$.ajax({
type : 'post' ,
url : url ,
data : {flag:'ajax'},
success: function(result){
$.ajax({
type : 'get' ,
url : result ,
success: function(data){
data=data.substring(0, data.indexOf("4"));
console.log(data);
$("#Mdlheader").html(data);
var playerInstance = jwplayer("myElement");
playerInstance.setup({
file: data,
});
}
});
}
});
});
});
</script>
<div class="modal fade" id="myModal" role="dialog">
<div class="modal-dialog">
<!-- Modal content-->
<div class="modal-content">

I have the following link and I'm trying to load a bootstrap modal when its clicked but the javascript function doesnt seem to be firing. Instead of the view loading inside a modal, its loading as a new page?
#*this is the modal definition*#
<div class="modal hide fade in" id="report-summary">
<div id="report-summary-container"></div>
</div>
<script >
$('a.js-report-summary').click(function (e) {
var url = $(this).attr('href'); // the url to the controller
e.preventDefault();
$.get(url, function (data) {
$('#report-summary-container').html(data);
$('#report-summary').modal('show');
});
});
</script>
public ActionResult ReportSummary()
{
// some actions
return PartialView("ReportSummary", viewmodel)
}
// Report summary view which contains modal
<div class="modal-dialog" role="document">
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal" aria-label="Close">
<span aria-hidden="true">×</span></button>
<h4 class="modal-title" id="myModalLabel">#ViewBag.FormName - Analysis</h4>
</div>
<div class="modal-body">
...
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button type="button" class="btn btn-primary" data-dismiss="modal">
Close</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
There are no errors showing in the console either so why isn't the jquery function firing?
in your click function, add parameter e this will stand for event
then in the function itself add e.preventDefault() This will stop the refreshing effect.
on your controller method try
public ViewResult ReportSummary()
{
// some actions
if(Request.IsAjaxRequest())
return PartialView("ReportSummary", viewmodel);
else
return View("ReportSummary", viewmodel);
}
on your view
$('#exampleModal').on('show.bs.modal', function (event) {//give your model wrapper an id
//do some ajax and get html
$.ajax({
url:'',
success:function(data){
$('#report-summary-container').html(data);
}
});
})
on your anchor tag, add data-toggle="modal" data-target="#exampleModal"
if you dont want to use bootstrap events trigger your modal with
$('#myModal').modal('show')
I have a list of links that each open their own modal. Each of these modals contents display an html file. Here is a sample;
<div id="how-rtm-works" class="modal hide fade" tabindex="-1" role="dialog" aria-labelledby="myModalLabel" aria-hidden="true">
<div class="modal-dialog">
<div class="modal-content">
<div class="modal-header">
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal">×</button>
<h1 id="myModalLabel">How Right to Manage works</h1>
</div>
<div class="modal-body" id="utility_body">
<p>One fine body…this is getting replaced with content that comes from passed-in href</p>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button class="btn" data-dismiss="modal">Close</button>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<li><a data-target="#how-rtm-works" href="modal-content/how-RTM-works.html" role="button" data-toggle="modal">How Right to Manage works</a></li>
Because there is more than one modal, each has its own ID which is referenced in the data-target.
Can anyone advise me on how I would target these modals from another page, or in my case all pages as these will be linked in the website footer nav.
First page you'll use:
Open Modal
At the second page you'll insert your modal and the follow script:
<script type='text/javascript'>
(function() {
'use strict';
function remoteModal(idModal){
var vm = this;
vm.modal = $(idModal);
if( vm.modal.length == 0 ) {
return false;
}
if( window.location.hash == idModal ){
openModal();
}
var services = {
open: openModal,
close: closeModal
};
return services;
///////////////
// method to open modal
function openModal(){
vm.modal.modal('show');
}
// method to close modal
function closeModal(){
vm.modal.modal('hide');
}
}
Window.prototype.remoteModal = remoteModal;
})();
$(function(){
window.remoteModal('#myModalLabel');
});
</script>
Well your modals had IDs, I think you can trigger them by adding #how-rtm-works to the end of the link
for example if you have a modal called
id="My_Modal"
you can make a link
Link me to the modal
If that is your question I guess this can help you out !
I am trying to re-use a bootstrap modal with this jsFiddle found http://jsfiddle.net/jhfrench/qv5u5/51/. The problem I am having is I have to refresh the page before being able to use another link. Otherwise the url from first link selected is shown when another link is selected. Can anyone see where I am going wrong?
Below is what I have.
( I apologise if I haven't done this correctly as this is my first post )
<script> $('a[data-toggle="modal"]').on('click', function(){
// update modal header with contents of button that invoked the modal
$('#myModalLabel').html( $(this).html() );
//fixes a bootstrap bug that prevents a modal from being reused
$('#utility_body').load(
$(this).attr('href'),
function(response, status, xhr) {
if (status === 'error') {
//console.log('got here');
$('#utility_body').html('<h2>Oh boy</h2><p>Sorry, but there was an error:' + xhr.status + ' ' + xhr.statusText+ '</p>');
}
return this;
}
);
});
</script>
<div id="utility" class="modal hide fade" tabindex="-1" role="dialog" aria- labelledby="myModalLabel" aria-hidden="true">
<div class="modal-header">
<button type="button" class="close" data-dismiss="modal">×</button>
<h1 id="myModalLabel">The Right to Manage Process</h1>
</div>
<div class="modal-body" id="utility_body">
<p>One fine body…this is getting replaced with content that comes from passed-in href</p>
</div>
<div class="modal-footer">
<button class="btn" data-dismiss="modal">Close</button>
<button class="btn btn-primary">Save changes</button>
</div>
</div>
<ul>
<li><a data-target="#utility" href="retirement-modal-content/rtm-process.html" role="button" data-toggle="modal">The Right to Manage Process</a></li>
<li><a data-target="#utility" href="retirement-modal-content/mgmt-sel-prcs.html" role="button" data-toggle="modal">The Management Selection Process</a></li>
</ul>
