I have a piece of my JQMobi code here. Problem is that it doesn't switch pages dynamically:
<div title='Whatever' id="main" class="panel" selected="true" data-tab="navbar_home" data-footer="none">
<div class="swipe_area">
<!-- nothing here, just for swiping to not disturb other elements -->
<- Swipe me ->
</div>
<script>
var init_swipe = function () {
$(".swipe_area").swipeListener({
vthreshold: 30,
hthreshold: 80,
callBack: function (dir) {
if(dir.left) {
window.location.href = "#menulink3";
alert("go to menulink3");
}
else if(dir.right) {
window.location.href = "#menulink2";
alert("go to menulink2");
}
}
});
};
window.addEventListener("load", init_swipe, false);
</script>
</div>
<div title='Whatever' id="menulink2" class="panel" selected="true" data-tab="navbar_home" data-footer="none">
content of menulink2
</div>
<div title='Whatever' id="menulink3" class="panel" selected="true" data-tab="navbar_home" data-footer="none">
content of menulink3
</div>
The url does change in browser and it gives an alert (just to be sure), but there is no switch in pages. Also, normal a href links work just fine. Is there a jqmobi function I have to call to make it refresh or something?
Thanks in advance
You don't change the window.location to navigate. Look at $.ui.loadContentDiv to do it programatically.

There is requirement where I need to copy HTML code on click of button. The functionality is not working where we are using a video tag. The video tag somehow gets formatted by brightcove. I tried using <pre> and <code> elements. Can you please suggest something.
$('.copy').on('click', function() {
var section = $(this).next().find('code').html();
var elem = document.createElement('textarea');
//elem.textContent = section;
elem.innerHTML = section;
//elem.classList.add('invisible');
document.body.appendChild(elem);
console.log(elem.innerHTML);
elem.select();
console.log("Hi");
try {
document.execCommand('copy');
} catch (e) {
console.log('ERROR: ' + e);
} finally {
elem.remove();
}
});

I need make a simple JS popup to view specific content of each link (team stats). For that I've got basic HTML set up which should popup mentioned content.
<!-- Start Team-Players -->
<div class="team-players">
<div class="player-profile">
<img data-js="open" src="img/team-ico/team-srsne.jpg" alt="" class="thumbnail">
<span class="number">#1</span>
<span class="name">HK Sršňe Košice</span>
</div>
<div class="player-profile">
<img data-js="open" src="img/team-ico/team-kvp.jpg" alt="" class="thumbnail">
<span class="number">#2</span>
<span class="name">HK KVP Represent</span>
</div>
<div class="player-profile">
<img data-js="open" src="img/team-ico/team-warriors.jpg" alt="" class="thumbnail" >
<span class="number">#3</span>
<span class="name">HK Spartan Warriors</span>
</div>
etc...
at the end there is popup opening code:
<div class="container">
<button data-js="open">Open popup</button>
<div class="popup">
<h2>$team_name (team name, which was selected for links above should be displayed)</h2>
<button name="close">Close popup</button>
JavaScript code:
function popupOpenClose(popup) {
/* Add div inside popup for layout if one doesn't exist */
if ($(".wrapper").length == 0){
$(popup).wrapInner("<div class='wrapper'></div>");
}
/* Open popup */
$(popup).show().this;
/* Close popup if user clicks on background */
$(popup).click(function(e) {
if ( e.target == this ) {
if ($(popup).is(':visible')) {
$(popup).hide();
}
}
});
/* Close popup and remove errors if user clicks on cancel or close buttons */
$(popup).find("button[name=close]").on("click", function() {
if ($(".formElementError").is(':visible')) {
$(".formElementError").remove();
}
$(popup).hide();
});
}
$(document).ready(function () {
$("[data-js=open]").on("click", function() {
popupOpenClose($(".popup"));
});
});
Could someone help me and advise how can I sort those links to open popup window related to each link? Maybe sort it with some ID or so?
Appreciate
I have 2 solutions:
in html create hidden popups for all teams with id="popup-team-1", and in your link add additional attribute <a data-id="1".. , in javascript do something like this:
var id = $(this).attr("data-id");
$("#popup-team-"+id).show();
load content of popup from server
$.get(url).done(function (content) {
$(".popup").html(content).show();
})
Please tell me how to send div id as a parameter to javascript function onclick in a link of a page to open it via javascript. I want to send div id to open that particular link.
<a id="anchor22" href="http://www.friferie.dk/inspiration/%C3%98strig" onclick="MyFunction()>Ostrig</a>
<script type="text/javascript">
function MyFunction(anchor) {
document.getElementById('achor').click();
}
</script>
Use this way -
function myFunction(x) {
document.getElementById('showId').innerHTML = x.parentElement.id; // x.parentElement.id gets the parent div then its id value
}
<div id="div1">
Click Me <!-- pass this to the function -->
</div>
<br />Div's id: <span id="showId">
</span>
The above code was just for simplicity. For your sample code -
<div id="div1">
<a id="anchor22" href="http://www.friferie.dk/inspiration/%C3%98strig" onclick="MyFunction(this)>Ostrig</a>
</div>
<script type="text/javascript">
function MyFunction(anchor) {
alert(anchor.parentElement.id); // Will return div1
alert(anchor.id); // Will return anchor22
}
</script>
I want to configure a hyperlink to close/open its related div in asp.net. Basically, when a user clicks the sign X, the panel should be closed and the sign + should be appeared. When + is clicked, the panel should be showed again. I could not manage this and I believe my main problem is "document.getElementById('<%= lb_closePanel.ClientID %>').value" is coming as undefined. Here is the code until now. I appreciate for your helps!
<!DOCTYPE html>
....
<div class="appheader">
<h1 class="appheaderContent">Search for Client</h1>
<div id="checkBox"></div>
<div id="closePanel"><h2 id="lblClosePanel">Close Panel</h2>
<div id="xButton">
<asp:LinkButton onclientclick="CloseOpenPanel('Search')" runat="server" Text="X" style="text-decoration:none; color:white" ID="lb_closePanel"></asp:LinkButton>
</div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="app" id="Search">
...
<div>
...
</html>
<script type="text/javascript">
function CloseOpenPanel(obj) {
alert(document.getElementById('<%= lb_closePanel.ClientID %>').value); //here it comes undefined!!!!
if (document.getElementById('<%= lb_closePanel.ClientID %>').value == 'X') {
document.getElementById(obj).Visible = false;
lb_closePanel.Text = '+';
}
else {
document.getElementById(obj).Visible = true;
lb_closePanel.Text = 'X';
}
}
</script>
Your code is OK, just instead of the property value use innerHTML
alert(document.getElementById('<%= lb_closePanel.ClientID %>').innerHTML);
Instead of using .value, try using .innerHTML instead to get the text inside of your link button (rendered as an a tag)
i got a page on a site and there are several videos within blocs. When i play one video and then hit the close button or click on another box to open it, it works all just fine. But the problem comes when i add extra html markup around the videos, it breaks the close button behavior.
Here's the markup of a box (i've got multiples in my page):
<div class="box" data-size="660,605">
<div class="cunload2">
<div class="expandable">
<span class="simple">
<a class="cunload" href="javascript:;"></a>
</span>
<div class="exandable-vids-container">
<iframe ... ></iframe>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
The cunload button is the one closing the box and unloading the video.
Here's the javascript (as seing at the vimeo api's page):
(function(){
var vimeoPlayers = document.querySelectorAll('iframe'), player;
for (var i = 0, length = vimeoPlayers.length; i < length; i++) {
player = vimeoPlayers[i];
$f(player).addEvent('ready', ready);
}
function addEvent(element, eventName, callback) {
if (element.addEventListener) { element.addEventListener(eventName, callback, false); }
else { element.attachEvent(eventName, callback, false); }
}
function ready(player_id) {
var container = document.getElementById(player_id).parentNode.parentNode,
froogaloop = $f(player_id),
apiConsole = container.querySelector('.console .output');
function setupSimpleButtons() {
var unloadBtn = container.querySelector('.simple').querySelector('.cunload');
addEvent(unloadBtn, 'click', function() { froogaloop.api('unload'); }, false);
}
setupSimpleButtons();
$(".cunload, .box:not(.expanded)").click(function(){
//if (!$(this).is('expanded')) {
froogaloop.api('unload');
//}
});
}
})();
This works just fine, but when i add an extra <div> around the iframe (and i really need to) it doesnt work anymore.
Any clue?
EDIT: problem is more complicated, i added an <ul> and <li> tags around the iframes as such:
<div class="box" data-size="660,605">
<div class="cunload2">
<div class="expandable">
<span class="simple">
<a class="cunload" href="javascript:;"></a>
</span>
<div class="exandable-vids-container">
<ul>
<li><iframe ... ></iframe></li>
<li><iframe ... ></iframe></li>
</ul>
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
and modified the js line :
var container = document.getElementById(player_id).parentNode.parentNode
to:
var container = document.getElementById(player_id).parentNode.parentNode.parentNode.parentNode
and i got it working.
The problem is that i use the <ul> and <li> tags to call jcarousel and that it adds an extra 3 divs between my .exandable-vids-container and the <ul>. Moreover, sometimes i'll call this carousel and sometimes not, so i really can't go with adding extras .parentNode in the js. This would have to be dynamic and i think the solution has to be in that direction.
