I'm trying to implement the jQuery UI Date Picker with the Time Picker addon (http://trentrichardson.com/examples/timepicker/).
I have the js and css saved in the same directory as my script as timpicker.js and picker.css respectively.
<!doctype html>
<html lang="en">
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8" />
<title>jQuery UI Datepicker - Select a Date Range</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://code.jquery.com/ui/1.10.1/themes/base/jquery-ui.css" />
<link rel="stylesheet" href="picker.css" />
<script src="timepicker.js"></script>
<script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.9.1.js"></script>
<script src="http://code.jquery.com/ui/1.10.1/jquery-ui.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/resources/demos/style.css" />
<script>
$('#from').datetimepicker();
</script>
</head>
<body>
<label for="from">From</label>
<input type="text" id="from" name="from" />
</body>
</html>
Firebug keeps giving me these errors:
ReferenceError: jQuery is not defined
[Break On This Error]
})(jQuery);
datetimepicker.js (line 1919)
TypeError: $(...).datetimepicker is not a function
[Break On This Error]
$('#from').datetimepicker();
Has anyone else come across this problem. I'm sure I'm missing something simple, but I have been unable to find anyone with the same problem.
Thank you
You are loading the timepicker.js before you load jQuery. Your page is trying to run timepicker.js and doesn't know anything about jQuery. Rearrange your scripts like:
<script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.9.1.js"></script>
<script src="http://code.jquery.com/ui/1.10.1/jquery-ui.js"></script>
<script src="timepicker.js"></script>

I'm trying to use the LESS CSS library found here http://lesscss.org/.
First step on their front page is to add:
<link rel="stylesheet/less" type="text/css" href="styles.less" />
<script src="//cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/less" ></script>
but I get this error in the console.
Failed to load resource: net::ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND
But if you go straight to https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/less it loads just fine.
I'm wondering if it's a browser setting as I tried it on Chrome AND Firefox and same error. Any help appreciated!
this is my full code:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<title>Uno</title>
<link rel="stylesheet/less" type="text/css" href="styles.less" />
<script src="//cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/less" ></script>

<html>
<body>
Hello World
</body>
</html>
im new to javascript and Jquery and i just cant seem to get this working. I believe the problem in specific is the reference to the jquery files thats not working but i could be wrong. Below is the relavent code.
<head runat="server">
<title>Expense Report Admin Portal</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="Content/admin.css" />
<%--<script type="text/javascript" src="Scripts/jquery-ui-1.11.4/jquery-ui.js"></script>--%>
<script type="text/javascript" src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jqueryui/1.8.11/jquery-ui.min.js"></script>
<script>
$(function() {
$( '#<%=datepicker.ClientID%>' ).datepicker();
});
</script>
</head>
<asp:TableCell>
<asp:TextBox ID="datepicker" runat="server"></asp:TextBox>
</asp:TableCell>
I was right, there was something wrong with the jquery references. I took Igor's advice above, and while i didnt copy ALL the code, i did replace all my references to jquery with the one in the example and it worked.
i think you comment jquery reference. uncomment this line. the belwo example work for me.
include => jquery-ui.css
include => jquery-1.10.2.js include =>

I am a beginner programmer and I'm trying to make a web page that displays a JQuery Inline Date and Time Picker. As I was researching, I found this documentation: DateTimePicker. I followed the steps of first importing the JS and CSS files (after the closing body tag) using these tags:
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="jquery.datetimepicker.css"/ >
<script src="jquery.js"></script>
<script src="jquery.datetimepicker.js"></script>
Following those tags, I called on my <input> from my Home.html file with the id of datetimepicker. Then using that id, I copied the code from the tutorial that creates the Inline DateTime Picker Calendar, like so:
$('#datetimepicker').datetimepicker({
inline:true
});
So my Home.html file looks like this:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<meta name="viewport" content="initial-scale=1.0, user-scalable=no">
<meta charset="utf-8">
<title>Home</title>
<!-- Compiled and minified CSS -->
<link rel="stylesheet" href="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/materialize/0.97.0/css/materialize.min.css">
<!-- Compiled and minified JavaScript -->
<script src="https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/materialize/0.97.0/js/materialize.min.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="./jquery.datetimepicker.css"/>
<script src="//code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.2.js"></script>
</head>
<body>
<h3>Inline DateTimePicker</h3>
<input type="text" id="datetimepicker"/><input type="button" onclick="$('#datetimepicker3').datetimepicker({value:'2011/12/11 12:00'})" value="set inline value 2011/12/11 12:00"/><br><br>
</body>
<!-- CALLS JQUERY LIBRARY FOR DATE AND TIME PICKER -->
<!-- this should go after your </body> -->
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="jquery.datetimepicker.css"/ >
<script src="./jquery.js"></script>
<script src="./jquery.datetimepicker.js"></script>
<script>
$('#datetimepicker').datetimepicker({
inline:true
});
</script>
</html>
However, when I run this code, I get an error that says:
TypeError: 'undefined' is not a function (evaluating '$('#datetimepicker').datetimepicker({
inline:true
})')
This is what is displaying:
This is what I want to display:
How can I get an Inline calendar to display on my Home.html page?
Put
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="jquery.datetimepicker.css"/ >
<script src="./jquery.datetimepicker.js"></script>
between your <head></head> tags and remove
<script src="./jquery.js"></script>
I had the same sort of issue , If download the the source code from the XDSoft site
there is build folder , try using jquery.datetimepicker.full.js file from build folder .
You need to include jquery-ui.js
Do not confuse between jQuery versions. You first referenced jQuery here:
<script src="//code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.2.js"></script>
And then you are doing it here:
<script src="./jquery.js"></script>
Please remove one. As the newer jQuery will be active and it doesn't have the plugin registered.
i'm using sublime text 3 and i've tested other jQuery UI elements but decided to try using date picker today with a small project i'm putting together. I notice that when I wanted to try it out I first saved the default code from the example on jQuery's site locally in it's own .html file, then I tried to load it up.
default code from example:
<!doctype html>
<html lang="en">
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<title>jQuery UI Datepicker - Default functionality</title>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="//code.jquery.com/ui/1.11.4/themes/smoothness/jquery-ui.css">
<script src="//code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.2.js"></script>
<script src="//code.jquery.com/ui/1.11.4/jquery-ui.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/resources/demos/style.css">
<script>
$(function() {
$("#datepicker").datepicker();
});
</script>
</head>
<body>
<p>Date:
<input type="text" id="datepicker">
</p>
</body>
</html>
unfortunately, this brings up an input field but, on clicking into the field, i get no ability to select a date. In fact the date selection dropdown doesn't show up at all but I can tell that the input field has been selected. I thought perhaps I had left something out when copying the code over to my test file so I loaded up JSBin and pasted the code there. Magically, it works. JSBin exampleI'm assuming i'm somehow not linking to the appropriate style sheet or the CDN for the jQuery UI. Is that assumption correct or why isn't this working locally?

<script src="http://code.jquery.com/ui/1.11.4/jquery-ui.js"></script>
<script>
$(function() {
$( "#datepicker" ).datepicker();
});
</script>
</head>
<body>
<p>Date: <input type="text" id="datepicker"></p>
</body>
</html>
P.S- I have removed link to css file as it might have been your local css file. You can add that back.
I am trying to build my personal website using express and want to put a datepicker on one of the page.
I tried to change the ejs file of this page, however, nothing works.
I am wondering if it is because that the layout.ejs file exists, and wondering how can I just load jquery-ui in only of the ejs.file? Because I cannot find any related npm to install . Many thanks for answering!XD

node.js - DatePicker jquery UI not workinng
When I just use Express and change the index.ejs like the following, it works , but when there are many pages, it seems that it cannot be loaded...
<!DOCTYPE html>

node.js - DatePicker jquery UI not workinng
For whom run into the same problem, this is the reference.
I finally found the answer by checking the code.I was unable to load JQuery for in the layout.ejs, I retyped the following in order to load the bootstrap, but actually by using https://npmjs.org/package/twitter-bootstrap-node twitter-bootstrap-node, there is no-need to load the javascripts again. This may be a common problems for beginners in Node.JS like me.Hope this answer can be helpful to people who run into the same problem and the code is in the answer of the related problem.

<script src="/javascripts/bootstrap.js"></script>

Hi look at this jsfiddle link http://jsfiddle.net/w7PHj/
you need to use like this....
$('#datepick').datepicker();
