Bootstrap datepicker not responding in IE8 - javascript

I have similar issue like in Bootstrap Datepicker Not Working .I followed the solution of putting datepicker code in document.ready() as
$(function(){ $('#datepicker').datepicker(); });
But,still on clicking datepicker icon, it is showing "Stop script running..." pop up.I am using jquery 1.8.3 version with bootstrap version 2.1.1.It is working fine in Jquery version 1.8.1.what change needs to be done for jquery version 1.8.3

This was a bug in the original release in September 2012. Coders have since forked the project and made fixes/improvements - one of them being this IE 7/8 bug...

Essentially, download the latest Master build contents and you should be good to go.

full calendar with dropdown navbar

Hi I'm a novice at HTML5.
Created a website using Bootstrap v3. Working on a webpage to utilize FullCalendar. I have one of two problems. Either the calendar works and my dropdown NavBar menus do not work. Or Vice Versa.
I've narrowed down the problem to the jquery.min.js script link.
If I comment out the script "...src='assets/js/calendar/jquery.min.js'>", then my dropdown menus, work perfectly.
If I comment out the script
"...src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.11.3/jquery.min.js"
window.jQuery || document.write('...src="js/vendor/jquery.js">')", then my calendar works but my dropdown NavBar menus do not work.
I figured out the Bootstrap jquery script is using version 1.11.2 and FullCalendar is using version 3.1.1.
Then I downloaded Bootstrap v4 Alpha. The link there is to jquery-slim.min.js is version 3.1.1 so I thought this might solve my problem. I put together a test webpage and still experiencing the same issue.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

How to set maxViewMode in Bootstrap Datepicker (with JS Fiddle)

I have a simple installation of Bootstrap Datepicker:
HTML:
<div id="datepicker"></div>
JS:
$("#datepicker").datepicker( {minViewMode: "days", maxViewMode: "days"});
I am trying to disable the user's ability to switch to month view (achieved by clicking on the month title). I have set maxViewMode to days as per the docs, but it doesn't work.
JS Fiddle here.
Where am I going wrong? Is this a bug?
You are using Bootstrap Datepicker version 1.4.0. Option maxViewMode is added in version 1.5.0 (not released yet).
Official docs for version 1.4.0

Track Javascript on webpage

I'm trying to compare two pages and find out what went wrong https://web.archive.org/web/20141220055016/http://www.kenyabuzz.com/ and http://www.kenyabuzz.com/ on the archived version the dropdown on the top nav works. I don't know where the javascript is that onhover triggers on the ul how can I find it?
You included jQuery 1.11 and it dropped support for things used in the version of fancybox that you are using. Look to see if there is a newer version of fancybox or see if the jQuery migrate plugin will work for you.
on live version you are using new version of jquery which is breaking fancybox TypeError: f.browser is undefined because browser function is depreciated from jquery
You can fix it using jQuery Migrate plugin

Drupal - Jquery update version conflicts with lightbox

My drupal version is 6 and currently running jquery version 1.6.2. I am using Lightbox and jquery UI at a time, I think jquery 1.6 not supports UI features. When I update my jquery version, all the links goes to lightbon and showing imagee not found. So how can I implement Jquery upper version and lightbox at a time.
Thanks in advance.
Don't update jQuery library manually, it can cause some js code to crash.
Instead, you can use jQuery Update to do that. It's more secure. This module updates your Drupal 6 jQuery version to v.1.3.2
Hope this helps... Muhammad

Does qTip support the latest version of jQuery?

On the qTip site, the version of jQuery bundled with the qTip download is dated -- not the current stable 1.5.1 release of jQuery.
Does anyone know if qTip can work with 1.5.1 of jQuery? The qTip forums don't address compatibility issues.
If not qTip, which is a comparable tooltip plugin?
Thanks!
It does still work with jQuery 1.5.1. I threw together a simple demo here: http://jsfiddle.net/akHyX/
