<script type="text/javascript" src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js"></script>
<script type='text/javascript' src='js/jquery.hoverIntent.minified.js'></script>
<script type='text/javascript' src='js/jquery.dcmegamenu.1.3.3.js'></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function($){
$('#mega-menu-7').dcMegaMenu({

JQuery On Button Click Alert Issue

JSFiddle demo: https://jsfiddle.net/cr33q8v7/
$("#findMyWeather").click(function() {
alert("button clicked");
});
All I'm trying to verify is if the JQuery is working and I'm not getting any pop-up that says button clicked, so it would appear the syntax is wrong, but I've checked it multiple times and it looks right.
So if I include the library on JSFiddle, then why does the below code in the HTML file not run, as it appears the function is identical and these pointers both direct to the library:
<script src="//code.jquery.com/jquery-1.11.0.min.js"></script>
<script src="//netdna.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.1.1/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
<script>
$("#findMyWeather").click(function() {
alert("button clicked");
});
</script>
So the // pointers didn't reference (this is what the teacher instructed). When I changed to `https:``, then it functioned correctly:
<script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-3.1.0.min.js"></script>
<script src="https://netdna.bootstrapcdn.com/bootstrap/3.1.1/js/bootstrap.min.js"></script>
I need another set of eyes, or else I'm missing something else and just don't see it.
You need to include the jQuery library in JSFiddle.
Click the gear that says Javascript and choose the version of jQuery that suits you.
Your fiddle doesn't actually include jQuery via a script tag.
e.g. add: <script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-3.1.0.min.js"></script> to your HMTL
you must add below line after last div between body tag :
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.12.4
/jquery.min.js"></script>
Here is Demo
Add the cdn link for Jquery. Without jquery it will not work. You can add it to the before end of body tag.
Add:<script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
use jquery online by adding <script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.12.4/jquery.min.js"></script>.
<html>
<head></head>
<title></title>
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.12.4/jquery.min.js"></script>
<body>
<button id="check">Click on me to check if jquery is working ....!</button>
</body>
<script type="text/javascript">
$("#check").click(function(){
alert("yep, jquery is working");
});
</script>
</html>
every thing looks fine please select jquery in fiddle then try it
and please add this script code in your file
< script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/3.2.1/jquery.min.js" ></script>

How to load this JavaScript when page Loaded

I'm a newbie to programming and I want to ask something about Javascript.
How to make this script is displayed when the page is loaded?
I want to make "1 people online" with this jQuery pop up.
$(document).ready(function() {
$.sticky('1 user seen this hotel!');
});
Can you all tell me how to use it and how to modify it?
I get this function from http://www.jqueryrain.com/?uOBwr_rL
Please help me.
Thanks, gbu
Sample HTML Page
<html>
<head>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.6.2.min.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="sticky.min.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="sticky.min.css" type="text/css" />
</head>
<body>
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function() {
$.sticky('The page has loaded!');
});
</script>
</body>
</html>
Please make sure you save this html content as HTML page in the same directory as your sticky.min.js & sticky.min.css files.
If you don't need the sticky functionality (i.e. if it's okay for a user to close the window), you can use an alert:
$(document).ready(function() {
alert('1 user seen this hotel!');
});
Or the jquery dialog: http://jqueryui.com/dialog/

Problems with jMyCarousel

I'm completely stuck as to how to fix this. When I test it offline it works great. When I upload it and run it live none the images on my site load unless you click on the link for the page a second time. And on the press page it loads for a second and then its the same as the other pages but a second click on the link doesn't fix it. I've checked out this problem in firefox and safari.
P.S. I know my Menu's still are having issues if anyone has any suggestions for that I'd be super thankful. Mainly how can I get the hidden menu to stay centered.
Thanks!!!!!
http://www.tracyashaw.com/e2studio/index.html
http://www.tracyashaw.com/e2studio/press.hmtl
This on on the top of each page
<link rel="stylesheet" href="e2studio.css" type="text/css" media="screen" />
<script type="text/javascript" src="jquery-1.10.1.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="jMyCarousel.js"></script>
<!-- Optional -->
<script type="text/javascript" src="jquery.mousewheel.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
$(function() {
$(".jMyCarousel").jMyCarousel({
visible: '100%'
});
});
</script>
<script>
var myimages=new Array()
function preloadimages(){
for (i=0;i<preloadimages.arguments.length;i++){
myimages[i]=new Image()
myimages[i].src=preloadimages.arguments[i]
}
}
//Enter path of images to be preloaded inside parenthesis. Extend list as desired.
preloadimages("images/home_1.jpg","images/newport.jpg","images/newport_life.jpg","images/RI_monthly.jpg","images/unique_homes.jpg","images/ri_monthly_cover.jpg","images/so_ri_press_cover.jpg","images/grace_ormonde_cover.jpg")
</script>
The jQuery mousewheel plug-in you are using clearly states in the header comments that jQuery 1.2.2+ is required, likely due to the dependency on the special property of jQuery's event object. You have linked to jQuery 1.2.1. Also some image requests are coming back with a 404 response code. You'll have to address these two items.

Adipoli jQuery Image Hover Effects don't work

I have a problem with adipoli plugin - it doesn't want to work though everything I have done seems to be correct. The code is as follows:
head section:
<script src="js/jquery-1.7.2.min.js"></script>
<script src="js/jquery-ui-1.10.3.custom.min.js"></script>
<script src="js/lightbox.js"></script>
<script src="js/slider.js"></script>
<script src="js/jquery.adipoli.min.js"></script>
<script>
$('.shadow').adipoli({
'startEffect' : 'normal',
'hoverEffect' : 'popout'
});
</script>
content section:
echo '"<a><img class="shadow" src="photos/thumbs/thumb_'.$image['filename'].'" alt="" /></a>';
Along with adipoli hover effect, I want to make a simple css drop shadow effect and it works in comparison to hover effect. Lightbox and slider script work perfectly as well.
Any useful ideas would be appreciated, especially useful ones. ;-)
$(document).ready(function() {
$('.shadow').adipoli({
'startEffect' : 'normal',
'hoverEffect' : 'popout'
});
});
Wrap it like this to make sure the element exists before you try selecting it.

jQuery slideToggle Hide / Show Issues

I am having a couple problems trying to manually insert some jQuery features into a wordpress theme. I have a lightbox wordpress plugin that is jQuery based that is working fine.
So if I manually load the jQuery script into wordpress the functions seem to work but instead of say a slide being hidden it is revealed when it should still be hidden. Or a pop up that should work is already being shown instead of hidden. I don't think I'm supposed to manually include the jQuery into my skin but using the wp_enqueue_script('jquery'); doesn't seem to be resolving my issues either.
<script src="http://platform.twitter.com/anywhere.js?id=i5CnpkmwnlWpDdAZGVpxw&v=1" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function(){
$(".btn-slide").click(function(){
$("#twitpanel").slideToggle("slow");
$(this).toggleClass("active");
});
});
</script>
<div id="tweetit"><a class="btn-slide">Tell em'</a>
<div id="twitpanel"></div>
<script type="text/javascript">
twttr.anywhere(function (T) {
T("#twitpanel").tweetBox({
height: 100,
width: 225,
defaultContent: "Some Random Text"
});
});
</script>
</div></h2>
Like I said it works but in the reverse fashion that it should be.
I think I'm just loading in something wrong?
TIA,
Chase
maybe you need to default the div to hidden?
<div id="twitpanel" style="display:none"></div>
or
<div id="twitpanel" style="visibility:hidden"></div>
