Getting an error when trying to run my test in webdriverio - javascript

I have been having an issue when trying to run my webdriverio tests after trying to upgrade my node version. I am now getting the following error
2022-01-11T12:45:05.628Z DEBUG #wdio/config:utils: Couldn't find ts-node package, no TypeScript compiling
2022-01-11T12:45:05.729Z ERROR #wdio/config:ConfigParser: Failed loading configuration file: /Users/eoincorr/Downloads/coding/DSI_UI_TESTS/wdioTest.conf.js: Cannot find module 'csv-stringify/sync'
Can someone please advise me on why this is happening and what to do?

It seems that you didn't install typescript and/or ts-node.
Install missed dependencies:
npm i -D typescript ts-node
Also make sure, that you have installed all dependencies such as csv-stringify

'rollup' is not recognized as an internal or external command

I would like to ask if how should I fix this issue because I am already stuck and confused about this part. I already installed rollup globally using this command
npm install --global rollup
However when I tried to run the 'rollup' command then I should expect the rollup information or something will show in my CLI? but my CLI shows
'rollup' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
What I have done so far is.
Updated the NPM
Reinstall the rollup globally.
I already read some documentation but the issue is still showing.https://github.com/Esri/ago-assistant/issues/176
Please enlighten me.
Thank you
What I just have done just to run the script globally.
I just added these scripts in my package.json to run the rollup using NPM.
"scripts": {
"rollup": "rollup"
is this okay?
Try restarting your terminal
Try locating where the Rollup binary is installed
%AppData%\npm\node_modules or %AppData%\roaming\npm\node_modules
and run it manually like
%AppData%\npm\node_modules\rollup\bin\rollup.exe
npm install
fixed this issue for me

Getting Node Module Error (Cannot find module)

I am learning the Automated tests by using selenium web driver + Javascript and node.js.
Everything is working fine when I ran that script.js from the Visual Studio code terminal(by using node main.js)
Problem
I want to schedule this script in the scheduler which automatically tests the login functionality. But when I try to run it from the task scheduler then it gives Error: Cannot find module
Does anybody know how to get rid of this.
To fix Cannot find module errors, install the modules properly by running a npm install command in the appropriate directory as your project's app. ... or delete the node_modules folder and package-lock. json file and re-install it again using the npm install command.
rm -rf node_modules package-lock.json

Next.js: Module not found: Can't resolve 'canvg'

I have a next.js project and I keep getting:
error - ./node_modules/jspdf/dist/jspdf.es.min.js:458:25
Module not found: Can't resolve 'canvg'
I'm not sure why because I'm not including either jspdf or canvg.
Not sure what's causing it. Any help would be appreciated. I'm using material-ui if that matters.
It seems dependency error means that particular Module is missing when it's running.
Run npm ls or yarn list will print to stdout all the versions of packages that are installed, as well as their dependencies, in a tree-structure. Then search for that particulate packages are listed or not.
Run npm ls jspdf or yarn list jspdf then you can see its list of dependencies in tree-structure.
Please check your node version is updated or not ? If not then update first.
Quick & Dirty way: delete package.lock or yarn.lock file and delete .node_modules folders And Then run npm install or yarn to install again.
Look at console while you installing and make sure there are no error in the installing process. If you saw error you better look that massages also.

Error when building next.js app: Can't resolve 'next/head'

I am getting the below error when doing next build in my next.js app, after it's been working fine with just next (or npm run dev).
The error:
$ next build
The module 'react-dom' was not found. Next.js requires that you include it in 'dependencies' of your 'package.json'. To add it, run 'npm install --save react-dom'
Creating an optimized production build ...
> Using external babel configuration

> Build error occurred
Error: > Build failed because of webpack errors
at build (.../AppData/Roaming/npm/node_modules/next/dist/build/index.js:7:847)
I started my project by cloning Material UI's next.js example and just use that as it seems updated:
https://github.com/mui-org/material-ui/tree/master/examples/nextjs
However, thinking I just may of have an outdated or broken build, I re-cloned the next.js example and did next build as well, without modifying any files and I get the same error.
How can I fix this?
I just cloned that next.js example and it worked both with npm run dev, as well as npm run build->npm run start.
Judging by your error, I would check that "react-dom": "latest" is present in your package.json's dependencies. Did you run npm install after cloning the example?
The solution to this problem is to Just rerun these two commands again then your project will successfully Run. I also faced this problem but I got the solution.
npm i
yarn install
I ran into a similar problem when I included my nextjs app in a yarn workspace. I got around the issue by deleting the following directories in my nextjs app:
node_modules
.next
build
After removing them I ran yarn from the repo directory and started the nextjs app back up and it was working again.

Node.js says it can't load sqlite3 module, but does anyway

I'm working with the new Node.js Tools for Visual Studio and included the sqlite3 npm module. When I call require('sqlite3') it throws the error:
Error: Cannot find module './binding\Debug\node-v11-win32-ia32\node_sqlite3.node'
Odd thing is, when I ignore the error and continue running the code, everything works fine...until the function I'm in returns; then the server crashes.
Has anyone else had this issue? I have a suspicion that it has something to do with the ./binding part, but wouldn't know where to begin in terms of finding out why.
use this:-
npm install sqlite3 --build-from-source
This is what worked for me: https://www.npmjs.com/package/sqlite3
npm install https://github.com/mapbox/node-sqlite3/tarball/master
From: https://github.com/mapbox/node-sqlite3/wiki/Building-On-Windows
Install required software:
Python 2.x: https://www.python.org/downloads/release/python-2711/
Win SDK: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?displayLang=en&id=8279
Microsoft Visual Studio 2010+: https://www.microsoft.com/es-es/download/details.aspx?id=48217
Build:
npm install sqlite
npm install
node-gyp configure build
I got the kind of problem, my node version is v10.16.3
This globally installed sqlite3 gives error in loading by require('sqlite3')
It been solved by install a sqlite3 local to project.
$ npm install sqlite3
Note without -g option, it works for me.
It seems this is a problem with the sqlite3 npm package itself. There exists a lib\binding\Release\ folder, but not a lib\binding\Debug\ folder. I just created a copy of the Release folder, named it Debug, and all is well.
In case this above has not worked for anyone, here is what worked for me:
sudo apt install node-sqlite3
(I am using Ubuntu with Vscode as editor). It seems installing this node-sqlite3 module was the one that was recognized.
To skip searching for pre-compiled binaries, and force a build from source, use
npm install --build-from-source
