Trying to randomize a news ticker interval in jQuery - javascript

I have a jQuery-based scrolling news ticker that uses a set interval in milliseconds to control the delay between the reveal of each new section of text. I'd like to randomize the delay so that it more closely mimics the way a realtime news feed would look.
I've tried experimenting with some Math.random javascript where the newsTickerInterval parameter is, but JS is not my native language and I'm having trouble making it work.
Here's the jQuery function my scroller uses to config the display:

Instead of using newsTickerInterval, make a function getNewsTickerDelay that generates a random delay interval and call it using a setTimeout whenever needed.

So, every time your timeout is called, set another one with a random delay using getNewsTickerDelay

As pointed out by #Barmar, you might need to tweak the implementation of the plugin in your case and implement its internal animate method to use your defined random interval instead of a fixed value. You'll just need to replace the self.options.newsTickerInterval in that plugin's JS to self.options.getNewsTickerDelay(). That is if you are willing to mutate the plugin's implementation.

How to wait 1 second to move another slider after click using swiperjs api?

I am having difficulty to figure out how to wait or delay slider about 1 second before move to another slider. The below is JavaScript. I am not sharing the html code because its too lengthy and my question will look messy. I hope some of you have idea. I really appreciate your help.

If you wish to delay script execution, you need setTimeout.
Anatomy of setTimeout:

loopComplete function called repeatedly in Anime.js

I call my animated element as follows:

My interface contains a slider to change the speed of the element. Every time the slider is moved, the code listed above calls again.
My problem: the loopComplete function is running as if every time I change the slider, a new anime element is created without deleting the old one. The result is the loopComplete function being called many times, increasing every time I change the slider.
My goal is to stop repeat calls to the loopComplete function. How can I remove the anime element every time I want to change its speed? I only want the loopComplete function to be calling for one anime element at a time. Much love to anyone who can share some wisdom on this subject.

swiper.js controlling two instances

So I have setup two swiper.js instances and I want to scroll both while using one of them.
EDIT: My main goal is to recreate the main functionality on top of the swiper homepage.
EDIT2: I found this link, but it appears that this uses an older version of swiper.
Here is my config, only the first one works.

I think the main problem here was the outdated swiper.js version. Updated to 4.3.2.

For documentation reasons.
For this case the main difference in switching from Swiper v3 to v4 is to omit the .params. So instead of
mySwiper.params.control
without params and the new API
mySwiper.controller.control

Custom transition timing in impress.js

I'm trying to create different transition times for each slide in an impress.js presentation.
I found the code below in a book about impress.js. But checking it on JSLint it shows errors. I am not good enough with javascript to correct this myself. Anybody willing to help me out?
Edit: I need a solution without jQuery. This is because impress.js allows you to navigate through the presentation with spacebar and arrow keys and I don't want to lose that functionality.
I found that when navigating with the keys (while jQuery is timing the auto-advance) it does not respect the position where you navigated to, but forces you away from where you are. I would like instead that if you navigate to a slide (position) the auto-advance starts running the custom set time for that particular slide and advances to the next slide when the set amount of time has passed. This would be an awesome addition to impress.js. I hope this can be done. Thanks for your effort!

There is an error in your code in the setTimeout:
setTimeout(function () {
api.goto(steps.slide);
}, time_frame);
It seems that the time_frame variable should be second argument of the setTimeout method.
Update
You also forgot to initialize the api variable before using it:
var api = impress();
You also need the jQuery library to be able to use the $ function.

idangero sliders startAutoplay after swipe not working

Hello, I am using the iDangero.us Slider and I have a problem resuming the replay/autoplay after swiping.
Here are the program details: "Create an iPad slider that has autoplay and a clickable pagination button. If the user stops using/swiping the slider, it will resume autoplay without refreshing the page."

I believe the problem is in the function slideTouched(). I don't think mySwiper is defined inside of the function. Please help me fix the autoplay feature after swiping.
