I have a custom made theme working fine since long. Today when I was working on it I found some strange behavior. I think it is due to jquery proper loading. Yet I am not able to solve it.
Here is the link http://lesclefsdorgb.org/aboutus/
This page is loading two plugins
1. Revolution Slider and
2. Floating Menu
On a Chrome consol it gives following error

I am trying to integrate Isotope JS on Joomla 1.5 site. (I know it's old Joomla!)
https://www.buffalobrownies.com/?view=article&id=269
I got the code working fine on a test page on that domain (but outside of Joomla).
Inside Joomla, neither the JQuery nor vanilla JS seems to trigger.
With JQuery trigger code on, I get this error on Chrome Console:
Cannot read property 'isotope' of null
(With the vanilla JS script turned on I get a bunch of OTHER errors......)
So I'm guessing there is something wrong with the reference to $ but I'm not clued up enough to know what it is...
Any thoughts out there? Thanks for your help
(I have Jquery linked high up in the <head>, then Isotope JS link just after, then the isotope trigger JS before the bottom </body> tag)

So I discovered that it was Mootools in Joomla 1.5 that was causing the conflict.
(I just had to start taking lines of code out, one by one, until I found the one that made the difference).
I managed to find some code online that turned Mootools off for the front end, but kept it on for the back end.
Now I've managed to get the Isotope script working in my example. Now I just need to get it working with live data!
I'm working on getting a slideshow mobile friendly, but am running into a problem. I'm pretty sure it's javascript related because pages without the slideshow load fine. The site has a lot of images all categorized in the NextGen Gallery plugin, so I installed a slideshow plugin that would work with the existing setup.
It works fine on desktop without any console errors, but when it's loaded on my phone I get an error stating, "A problem occurred with this webpage so it was reloaded." It tries a few more times, then gives up.
I've never run into this with anything I've ever made, so I'm not sure where to start to try and fix it since I don't have any errors to go off of. Is there a way to fix this? Or is there a similar plugin that can integrate with NextGen Gallery as well?
An example can be seen here: example slideshow
Slideshow plugin: NextGen Galleryview
All of a sudden the nivo slider on one of our clients websites is not showing up at all: www.bedehouse.org
I have tried all sorts but cannot see why its stopped all of a sudden? We have not done any updates to wordpress or any of its plugins recently.
I can see using chromes "inpect element" feature that there is an error: "Uncaught TypeError: $(...).nivoSlider is not a function" but have no idea what it means.
Any helps or pointers in the right direction would be massively helpful.
You're loading two versions of jQuery. One is the copy WordPress is loading and the second is another.
Both are different versions (WP is loading 1.8.3 and you're loading 1.8.2). WordPress loads jQuery in noconflict mode and does not allow the use of the $ shortcut.
Remove the jQuery 1.8.2 call that you made and change all instances of $ to jQuery and try it.
I have two examples of Facebook comment box failing to load when an accordian is collapsed and reloaded. One HTML/JavaScript basic and the other in a Wordpress site via Visual Composer - this problem also occurs in numerous other accordions

I have contacted Facebook Support and Visual Composer support and neither can help out.

Hi Martin, The issue is not with the iframe, but the js that facebook comments use to render. It is not able to re-initialize itself when it is displayed as hidden and hence the issue occur. You can see that when you add nay iframe, it works fine without any issue. It is the js from the comments which is restricting it. As mentioned previously, it will require some custom js code to re-initialize this loading when the closed (hidden) accordion is opened. Kindly check.

Hi Martin,The issue here is the way the library is working. If you debug the code you'll see the plugin does not disappear, the issue is that the library is changing the width of the iframe that contains the plugin to 0 and you cannot see the comments plugin. In order to avoid this situation you will have to manually change the width value again and you'll see the comment plugin is still there. I'm going to close this bug as "By design" as this is not an issue in our side.
I'm not a javascript programmer, so am really at a loss here. Can anyone chip in with some advice here?
Thanks Martin
I am using LayerSlider (http://kreaturamedia.com/layerslider-jquery-full-width-slider/) which is working fine on all browsers except IE 10. Even the demo link is working fine on the browser but when I integrate the slider in the website I am working on, it fails to load the image and the following error is shown in the console:
"It seems like the URL of the image or background image "image name" is pointing to a wrong location and it cannot be loaded. Please check the URLs of all your images used in the slider."
The link of the image is correct and the issue appears if only one image is added. If more than one image is added, then the above error does not show.
I have checked for compatibility issues with other plugins by disabling other jQuery plugins but still no effect. I even tried to use the same version of jQuery the demo is using but still no luck.
If anyone has an idea what the problem is, kindly help me out
Thanks
