Generate random integer with ALL digits from 1-9 - javascript

How do I generate a 9-digit integer that has all digits from 1-9? Like 123456798, 981234765, 342165978, etc.
Doing this:
var min = 100000000;
var max = 999999999;
var num = Math.floor(Math.random() * (max - min + 1)) + min;
does not work give me the integer that I want most of the time (does not have ALL digits from 1 to 9).
111111119 is not acceptable because each number must have at least one "1" in it, "2", "3", ... and a "9" in it.

Just start with the string 123456789 and shuffle it randomly as described in How do I shuffle the characters in a string in JavaScript?

Is there anyway that I can validate also alphanumerics, so let's suppose I have a valid ID: AC813(6) , () is the checksum. So is there a way that I can prevent users having to type mistakenly AF813(6) so this would tell user incorrect ID.

Substituting digits for alphabetic characters to calculate a checksum severely reduces the robustness of the check, and the simplest suggestion I can come up with is to use the Luhn mod N algorithm described on Wikipedia.
Translating the algorithm into JavaScipt was relatively straight forward: the following is not my code but a translation from the wiki article - so I won't pretend it is optimal. It is intended to work with strings of case insensitive ASCII alphabetic characters and decimal digits. For documentation see the wiki.

If you just want to do the Luhn algorithm with letters replacing some of the numbers, then include an additional step to convert letters to numbers within your function.
So if you wanted to allow say A, B, C, D that convert to 0, 1, 2, 3 then you could do:

JavaScript: Random number in Loop

I was wondering how I can make a JavaScript loop that have to guess a correct number, 1-500.
Every loop there should be a new unique number that hasn't been guessed before. However it should guess in a random order.

The guessing with a random number comes by using the shuffle of all the possible numbers which means that it shall not be guessed again.
You will need to store the numbers you have already randomed.

I have been struggling with this challenge and can't seem to find where I'm failing at:
Some numbers have funny properties. For example:
89 --> 8¹ + 9² = 89 * 1
695 --> 6² + 9³ + 5⁴= 1390 = 695 * 2
46288 --> 4³ + 6⁴+ 2⁵ + 8⁶ + 8⁷ = 2360688 = 46288 * 51
Given a positive integer n written as abcd... (a, b, c, d... being digits) and a positive integer p we want to find a positive integer k, if it exists, such as the sum of the digits of n taken to the successive powers of p is equal to k * n. In other words:
Is there an integer k such as : (a ^ p + b ^ (p+1) + c ^(p+2) + d ^ (p+3) + ...) = n * k
If it is the case we will return k, if not return -1.
Note: n, p will always be given as strictly positive integers.

I'm new with javascript so there may be something off with my code but I can't find it. My whole purpose with this was learning javascript properly but now I want to find out what I'm doing wrong.I tried to convert given integer into digits by getting its modulo with 10, and dividing it with 10 using trunc to get rid of decimal parts. I tried to fill the array with these digits with their respective powers. Mistakes
There are a few problems with your code. Here are some mistakes you've made.
number.length is invalid. The easiest way to get the length of numbers in JS is by converting it to a string, like this: n.toString().length.

the math object should be referenced as Math, not math. (Note the capital M) So math.pow and math.trunc should be Math.pow and Math.trunc.
sum is undefined when the for loop is iterated the first time in sum=myArray[i]+sum;. Using var sum = 0; instead of var sum;.

You have multiple problems:
If n is a number it is not going to have a length property. So i is going to be undefined and your loop never runs since undefined is not greater or equal to zero

You never initialize sum to 0 so it is undefined and when you add the result of the power calculation to sum you will continually get NaN

I'm generating random numbers from 1 to 20 by calling generateRandom(). How can I exclude some values, say 8 and 15?

One way, which will maintain the generator's statistical properties, is to generate a number in [1, 18]. Then apply, in this order:
If the number is 8 or more, add 1.
If the number is 15 or more, add 1.
I'd be reluctant to reject and re-sample as that can cause correlation plains to appear in linear congruential generators.

I am utilizing that function to make "getRandomIntExcludingExistingNumbers" function to avoid specific values.
we will simply call getRandomInt(min, max) values.
Then in do while loop we will check if randomly generated values belongs to any of the values which shouldn't be generated.
If it is unique integer outside exclude values then we will return the value.
If our value is from the excluded values, then from do -- while loop, we will once again call getRandomInt to generate new values.

You can build an array dynamically. Depending on where you are getting the excluded numbers. Something like:

Actually, we do not need to use contains(random) with a while loop.
To simplify the question, let's see what happens if we only have one excluding value. We can split the result to 2 parts. Then the number of possible values is range-1. If the random number is less than the excluded value, just return it. Otherwise, we could add 1.
For multiple excluding values, We can split the result set into size+1 parts, where size means the number of excluding values. Then the number of possible values is range-size. Then we sort excluding values in ascending order. If random number is less than the excluding value minus i, then we just return the random number add i, where i is the index of the the excluding value.

We can make a function that takes min, max and blacklist as parameters and outputs a random result without using recursion (and with close to 0 if statements):

You should've declared the fib variable to be an array in the first place (such as var fib = [] or var fib = new Array()) and I think you're a bit confused about the algorithm.
If you use an array to store the fibonacci sequence, you do not need the other auxiliar variables (x,y,z) :

The golden ration "phi" ^ n / sqrt(5) is asymptotic to the fibonacci of n, if we round that value up, we indeed get the fibonacci value.

This runs faster on large numbers compared to the recursion based solutions.
You're not assigning a value to z, so what do you expect y=z; to do? Likewise you're never actually reading from the array. It looks like you're trying a combination of two different approaches here... try getting rid of the array entirely, and just use:

This solution scales quite nicely. We can calculate the first 10,000 fibonacci numbers in under 2 seconds. At this point in the sequence, the numbers are over 2,000 digits long – way beyond the capacity of JavaScript's floating point numbers. Still, our result includes precise values without making approximations.

Tail call recursion
This one is a little tricky, because, now in late 2018, TC optimization is still an issue. But honestly – if you don't use any smart tricks to allow the default JS engine to use a really big numbers, it will get dizzy and claims that the next fibonacci number is "Infinity" by iteration 1477. The stack would probably overflow somewhere around iteration 10 000 (vastly depends on browser, memory etc…). Could be probably padded by try… catch block or check if "Infinity" was reached.

JavaScript can handle numbers up to 1476 before reaching Infinity.

Another implementation, while recursive is very fast and uses single inline function. It hits the javascript 64-bit number precision limit, starting 80th sequence (as do all other algorithms):
