How do you make a one page scrolling site like this.
I tried using "peachananr" plugin from here but it didn't work instead it messed up my layout.
Eg after doing:
<div class="main">
<section id = "mainPage" class="container mainPage" >
</section>
<section id = "projectContents" class = " projectContents" >
<span style = "display: block; float: left; margin-top: 50px; font-size:40px; font-family: 'Alegreya Sans SC', sans-serif;">
Projects:
</span>
</section>
</div>
My whole page came together o.O ! (all sections came together in one) my page is basically a one page website like this
This is my css for the way i layout each section page:
body, html {
height: 100%;
margin: 0;
}
* {
box-sizing: border-box;
/* look this up */
}
.container {
width: 100%;
text-align: center;
height: 100%;
}
.mainPage {
height:100%;
width:100%;
background: url(Imgs/13.jpg);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: center center;
-webkit-background-size: cover;
-moz-background-size: cover;
-o-background-size: cover;
background-size: cover;
}
.projectContents {
position: relative;
height:100%;
width:100%;
background: white;
}
This is my Html:
<section id = "mainPage" class="container mainPage" >
</section>
<section id = "projectContents" class = " projectContents" >
<span style = "display: block; float: left; margin-top: 50px; font-size:40px; font-family: 'Alegreya Sans SC', sans-serif;">
Projects:
</span>
</section>
Please how do i resolve this issue or can you please give any solution. Examples will be greatly appreciated !! :D Thanks alottt !
ps i call the plugin in my js file like so $(".main").onepage_scroll();
Make sure you are loading the onepage-scroll css and javascript... It works fine without any of your CSS. Style from there.
HTML
<div class="main">
<section id = "mainPage" class="container mainPage" >
</section>
<section id = "projectContents" class = " projectContents" >
<span style = "display: block; float: left; margin-top: 50px; font-size:40px; font-family: 'Alegreya Sans SC', sans-serif;">
Projects:
</span>
</section>
</div>
JS
$('.main').onepage_scroll()
DEMO
Make bind to mouse scroll, and create slides.
<div class="b-slider">
<div class="b-sider__item">
Item 1
</div>
<div class="b-sider__item">
Item 2
</div>
<div class="b-sider__item">
Item 3
</div>
<div class="b-sider__item">
Item 4
</div>
<div class="b-sider__item">
Item 5
</div>
</div>
And use jcarousel slider plugin with vertical scroll options
$('.b-slider').jcarousel('next');
I don't really have a background with scrolling pages but I found this site that might help you in your code.
The structure is quite simple, adding a section class for each section of the site, and slide for each slide within a section:
<div id="fullpage">
<div class="section">WHATEVER</div>
<div class="section">WHATEVER</div>
<div class="section">
<div class="slide">Slide 1</div>
<div class="slide">Slide 2</div>
<div class="slide">Slide</div>
<div class="slide">Slide 4</div>
</div>
<div class="section">WHATEVER</div>
</div>
To initialize the plugin with default options, is as simple as this:
$(document).ready(function() {
$('#fullpage').fullpage();
});

So, I'm doing a project on React and I have this div tag which is a container that consists of information portrayed in this first image. Then what I would like to do is within that div without having the page refreshed change the display into this second image. It is like a card stacking on each other. I have no idea what keywords to search on google so I couldn't find any examples to do this.
Here's my html and css code for my div in the first image.
HTML
<div className={styles.showTicketBox}>
<div className={styles.showTicketBox1}>
<div className={styles.userEligibleTickets}>
<p>Your Eligible Tickets</p>
<h3 style={tokenContent}>0 Ticket(s)</h3>
</div>
<div className={styles.userDepositedTickets}>
<p>Your Deposited Tickets</p>
<h3 style={tokenContent}>0 Ticket(s)</h3>
</div>
</div>
<div className={styles.showTicketBox2}>
<div className={styles.userWinningTickets}>
<p>Your Winning Tickets</p>
<h3 style={tokenContent}>0 Ticket(s)</h3>
</div>
<div className={styles.userTicketsAllo}>
<p>Your Allocation</p>
<h3 style={tokenContent}>0 SHI</h3>
</div>
</div>
</div>
CSS
.showTicketBox{
width: 100%;
display: flex;
justify-content: space-around;
padding: 20px;
margin-top: 2em;
.showTicketBox1{
width: auto;
height:auto;
display: inline-block;
}
.showTicketBox2{
width: auto;
height:auto;
position: relative;
display: inline-block;
}
}
I am developing a project for school and I am pretty new to Bootstrap and I keep having some problems with scaling the website for different resolutions. When I change it to mobile the images go on top of the text. If anybody could help me I would appreciate it.
I have tried everything and still cant find a solution.

When i squish the page
First of all, you probably forgot to include <div class="row"></div> wrapper inside your <div class="container">...</div> element, just as it says here.
Secondly, I strongly recommend you to not play too much with CSS properties such as position: relative/absolute, top: ...; left: ...; right: ...; bottom: ..., because most of them break the CSS native document flow and they should be used only when other tools do not help much.
I suggest you reading this series of articles if you have enough time: CSS layout
I turned off most of the properties of that kind and it already looks much nicer:
This answer would be just be a massive advice if I wouldn't provide some code help, so here it is.
Start by disabling these properties in DevTools:
.home-block{
/* min-height: calc(100vh - 90px); */
}
#home .container{
/* height: 500px; */
}
.left-block{
/* text-align: center; */
/* top: 30%; */
}
.right-block{
/* bottom: 35%; */
/* margin-left: 25%; */
}
Fixing Bootstrap markup:
<div id="home" class="block home-block">
<div class="container">
<!-- Added this wrapper, changed .col-* classes to responsive -->
<div class="row">
<!-- Removed .left-block class -->
<div class="col-sm-12 col-lg-6 left-block">
<div class="text-centered">
<h1>Texter</h1>
<p class="info-text">Send text messages, voice messages, video messages or video call with all your friends and family easily, quickly and securely.</p>
<p class="Medium-text">Download Em Breve</p>
<img src="playstore.png" alt="Playstore" style="height: 40px;">
<img src="appstore.png" alt="Apple App Store" style="height: 40px">
</div>
</div>
<!-- Removed .right-block class, added .text-centered class -->
<div class="col-sm-12 col-lg-6 text-centered">
<!-- Removed inline styles (bad practice), changed "height" to be an attribute -->
<img src="phones.png" height="350">
</div>
</div>
</div>
</div>
Then you would get this picture (no interval between image and the button on the top):
This one is solved by applying margin-top: ...px; to the image block, wrapped in #media query at .col-md-* resolutions and lower. For the exact values see Bootstrap grid options. For more info on applying #media queries see MDN docs
As for navigation bar, I first suggest you disabling padding-left on ul#menu element:
#menu {
padding-left: 0;
}
Although it fixes it on sm resolutions, the navigation menu still wraps under the logo on resolutions less than about 520px. I suggest you imagine what to do with this occasion in your mind or in some markup service like https://app.diagrams.net/ and then develop what you decided to.
You can use
<head>
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1, maximum-scale=1, user-scalable=no">
</head>

I am trying to make just the pages on my website that have the main body content class of ".interior-health-main" have a footer that is static at the bottom of the page. I want it at the absolute bottom, currently if you view some of my pages on a large screen, you will see a bunch of white space after the footer. I want to get rid of this.
I have been looking into this for hours now and tried many things, at first I was going to make the footer on the entire website static at the bottom of the page, but setting the footer's css to position: absolute conflicted with other elements on my home page, which is why I just want it on the ".interior-health-main." If it is possible to change it just for the footers on these pages please let me know, I do not really want examples of fixing this by setting the entire body to position:relative. It just messes up my homepage.
Here is an example of what it looks like with the white space after the footer http://codepen.io/aahmed2/full/KgWNYL/
<p class="nav">This is a Navigation Bar</p>
<div class="interior-health-main">
<div class="container">

Here is my css
.nav {
text-align: center;
padding: 25px 0;
background-color: #c1c0be;
color: #fff;
position: fixed;
width: 100%;
z-index: 2;
}
.interior-health-main {
padding-top: 80px;
padding-bottom: 20px;
}
#media (max-width: 479px) {
.interior-health-main {
padding-top: 50px;
}
}
.footer {
background: #333332;
border-top: 9px solid #ffffff;
color: #fff;
padding-top: 35px;
padding-bottom: 35px;
}
You can position the footer absolute like they did here
https://getbootstrap.com/examples/sticky-footer/
.footer {
position: absolute;
bottom: 0;
width: 100%;
/* Set the fixed height of the footer here */
height: 60px;
/* background-color: #f5f5f5; */
}
<footer class="footer">
<div class="container">
<p class="text-muted">Place sticky footer content here.</p>
</div>
</footer>
How did it conflict when you tried your way? update your post with what you did?
Please reference this question to find your solution.
I applied one of the solutions from the above link to your code.
Wrap your code in a #holder div.
Add the following CSS:
html,body{
height: 100%
}
#holder{
min-height: 100%;
position:relative;
}
.footer {
background: #333332;
border-top: 9px solid #ffffff;
color: #fff;
padding-top: 35px;
padding-bottom: 35px;
height: 300px;
width:100%;
position: absolute;
left: 0;
bottom: 0;
}
.interior-health-main {
padding-top: 80px;
padding-bottom: 300px; /* height of footer */
}
Here is the working fiddle:
https://jsfiddle.net/DTcHh/25475/
I wrapped your page (not containing footer) into .page-wrap div, and edit you codePen code and just add this piece of code to your css
html, body {
height: 100%;
}
.page-wrap {
min-height: 100%;
/* equal to footer height (with margin and border) */
margin-bottom: -299px ;
}
.page-wrap:after {
content: "";
display: block;
}
.footer, .page-wrap:after {
/* page-wrap after content must be the same height as footer */
height: 299px;
}
Demo
I'm building a site using fullpage.js and Foundation. I'm trying to vertically center an image inside of a section and I'm having no luck.
I've tried this:
https://css-tricks.com/centering-in-the-unknown/
I think that the issue has something to do with the fp-tableCell div that fullpage.js creates.
<div id="first-section" class="section sTop active">
<div id="first-section-row" class="row inner">
<div id="slide_1_wrapper" class="small-12 medium-6 columns">
<h1 class="title">Hello!</h1>
<h2 class="subtitle">My name is Whatever</h2>
</div>
<div id="main-picture-wrapper" class="small-12 medium-6 columns">
<img id="main-picture" src="img/headshot.jpg" alt="my_picture">
</div>
</div>
</div>
I tried the CSS from the article above with no luck:
#main-picture {
max-height: 400px;
}
#main-picture-wrapper {
display: inline-block;
vertical-align: middle;
}
#slide-1-wrapper {
position: relative;
}
#first-section:before {
content: '';
display: inline-block;
height: 100%;
vertical-align: middle;
margin-right: -0.25em; /* Adjusts for spacing */
}
Screenshot of the rendered html, showing the fp-tableCell
try to add this in html
<div id="page">
<div id="content_container" class="small-12 medium-6 columns">
<div id="main-picture-wrapper">
<img id="main-picture" src="keyboard_search.png" alt="my_picture">
</div>
</div>
</div>
in css
*{ margin:0; padding:0;}
#page{display:table;overflow:hidden;margin:0px auto;}
#content_container{display:table-cell;vertical-align: middle;}
#main-picture-wrapper p{text-align:center;}
html,body{height:100%;}
#page{height:100%;width:100%; max-width:600px; text-align:center;}
.bannerimg{width:100%;max-width:600px;margin:0px auto;}
may help you
By default fullpage.js uses the option verticalCentered:true, so any image you add will be automatically centered unless you change it by using CSS.
You can easily see this in any demo online or in any of the provided examples.
From Michael in the comments:
Try giving the wrapper ID or class position: relative and then the image class or ID position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; right: 0; bottom: 0; margin: auto; - Rough Demo: jsfiddle.net/rrh5c04a
Note: I am unable to edit the HTML, so I have to find a workaround.
HTML:
<div id="container">
<div id="breadcrumbAds">...</div>
<div id="breadcrumbWrapper">...</div>
<div id="containerTopParsys">...</div>
<div id="leftColWrapper" class="column663Wrapper">...</div>
<div id="rightColWrapper" class="rightColumn663Wrapper">...</div>
<div style="clear:both;"></div>
<div id="containerBottomParsys">...</div>
<div style="clear:both;"></div>
<div id="bgpromo">...</div>
<div style="clear:both;">...</div>
<div style="clear:both;"></div>
</div>
The issue is that all of the divs inside #container, EXCEPT for #leftColWrapper and #rightColWrapper, need to be 100% width of #container, but #leftColWrapper and #rightColWrapper need to be stacked next to each other and centered (together) within the 100% #container, with a max-width of 1224px.
I tried utilizing the following jQuery to add a wrapper div around #left... and #right..., but it ended up grabbing the ads in those containers and placing them in the component where the JS for the page is stored.
(function($) {
$("#leftColWrapper, #rightColWrapper").wrapAll("<div class=\"colWrapper\" />");
})(jQuery);
I either need another solution to wrap those two divs together, so that I can set a max-width of 1224px and center them, or I need to know why this jQuery is picking up those ads and duplicating them within the JS component.
#container{
text-align: center;
font-size: 0;
}
#container > div{
outline: 1px solid #333;
display: inline-block;
min-height: 10px;
text-align: left;
width: 100%;
font-size: 14px;
}
#container #leftColWrapper, #container #rightColWrapper{
width: 50%;
max-width: 612px;
}
<div id="container">
<div id="breadcrumbAds">...</div>
<div id="breadcrumbWrapper">...</div>
<div id="containerTopParsys">...</div>
<div id="leftColWrapper" class="column663Wrapper">width: 50%;<br>
