i have a simple question regarding jquery, i have a long list of images directly uploaded from youtube, the image have the same v-code as the video itself, so for simpe downloading of all the videos on one page for browsers i made a list of images, once u click it, the video will appear on its place, the thing is that the code that i have oriented for video's image, but not on another one, anyway here is the code:
$('.youtube_thumb > img').click(function(){
var parts = this.src.split("/");
var id = parts[parts.length-2];
$('<iframe width="50%" height="300" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/' + id + '?autoplay=1" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>').insertAfter(this);
$(this).parent().parent().find(".name,.detail,.youtube_play").hide();
$(this).remove();
});
and the div
<div class="youtube">
<div class="name">
#left(name,30)#
</div>
<div class="detail">#left(detail,50)#</div>
<div class="youtube_play"></div>
<div class="youtube_thumb">
<img src="http://img.youtube.com/vi/#link#/0.jpg" style="width:50%;height:300px;border:0;" />
</div>
</div>
as u can see the code takes the img's src and sort the v-code and then put it inside the frame. But i want to work this code only after i click on the class youtube_play but not on youtube_thumb's image.
Thank you all for the help!
$('.youtube_play').click(function(){
var img = $(this).next().find('>img');
var parts = img.get(0).src.split("/");
var id = parts[parts.length-2];
$('<iframe width="50%" height="300" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/' + id + '?autoplay=1" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>').insertAfter(img.get(0));
img.parent().parent().find(".name,.detail,.youtube_play").hide();
img.remove();
});

I am trying to display video preview when some one touch on that screen on touchstart event by dynamically add video tag and video source (which is .webm) video and will start to play automatically. I can fetch the video tag but video is not getting played.
Here is my code:
<div class="thumb-overlay playthumb">
<img src="http://img.domain.com/thumbs/2.jpg" title="" alt="" id="2" class="img-responsive ">
<div class="duration">15:11</div>
</div>
<script type="text/javascript">
$(document).ready(function(e) {
$(".playthumb").on('touchstart', function(event) {
var thumb = $(this).children('img')[0];
var id = thumb.id;
$('#thumbPlayerM').remove();
var video = $('<video style="width:100%;height:100%;position:absolute;top:0;left:0;padding:0;margin:0;" id="thumbPlayerM" class="img-fluid" loop=""></video>');
var content = '<source type="video/webm" src="http://img.domain.com/webm/' + id + '/' + id + '.webm"></source>';
$(video).append(content);
$(video).hide();
var target = $("#" + id);
$(target).after($(video));
$(video)[0].play();
$(video).fadeIn();
});
});
</script>
I even try this also
var vid = $("#thumbPlayerM");
vid.play();
$(video).fadeIn();
Video is coming over the image but not playing. Any one can help me? Thank you.
I fixed this issue, need to add this:
<video autoplay loop muted playsinline></video>
My videos are already muted but I have no idea why it was not working. I must check my encoder.
I'm using onerror feature to detect broken links and replace those with an image, the problem is that in my code images that are okay are clickable.
So I want to make it in that way that when the function imageOnError is called to make that image impossible to click.
I tried to do it like this (img).unbind("click");
Lik this also: img.class = "blocked";
but it doesn't work?
<img class="img img-click not-selected " src="" onerror="return imageOnError(this);" />
countImgReplaced = 0;
function imageOnError(img) {
img.onerror = '';
img.src = 'https://dummyimage.com/256x256?text=Broken%20images%20.';
(img).unbind("click");
countImgReplaced ++;
return true;
}
And also I want to get the number of times that the image is replaced I did that with countImgReplaced , but it gives me the total number of images :/
I'm really confused. Can somebody help me?
You can apply pointer-events: none; to them via a class. You can apply that using the classList API
i.e.
img.classList.add('blocked');
You can just do this in HTML tag.
<img src="../resources/images/Image1.jpg" onerror="this.src='https://www.google.co.in/images/branding/googlelogo/2x/googlelogo_color_272x92dp.png';this.style='pointer-events: none'" />
$(document).ready(function(){
$("img").click(function(){
alert("Valid");
});
});
<script src="https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/2.1.1/jquery.min.js"></script>
<div style="clear:both;"><lable>Click in image(Invalid img):</lable>
<img width=200px height=200px src="../resources/images/Image1.jpg" onerror="this.src='https://www.google.co.in/images/branding/googlelogo/2x/googlelogo_color_272x92dp.png';this.style='pointer-events: none'" />
</div>
<div style="clear:both;"><lable>Click in image (Valid img):<lable>
<img width=200px height=200px src="https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQzltPjpuUfCzEsYbhTYTm4xab4wfmCTFoNllbU5ljLLEAb3VvJXkgpWvU" onerror="this.src='https://www.google.co.in/images/branding/googlelogo/2x/googlelogo_color_272x92dp.png';this.style='pointer-events: none'" /></div>
I have some issue:
I have some container, and three elements below this div. Three elements are images or iframe with vimeo embedded movie.
In first case i have :
<div id="media-content">
<iframe src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/1271?api=1" width="100%" height="400" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen>
</iframe>
</div>
And below:
<div class="media-list" id="media-list">
<span> <?php echo $this->Html->image('placeholder/video2.jpg');?> </span>
<span> <?php echo $this->Html->image('placeholder/video3.jpg');?> </span>
<span>
<iframe src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/127561?api=1" width="100%" height="400" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe>
</span>
</div>
And Jquery:
var media = $('#media-list img');
var mediaContainer = $('#media-content');
$(media).on('click',function(e){
var vals = $(this).parent().html();
$(mediaContainer).html(vals);
e.preventDefault();
console.log (e.target);
});
And now what this code does:
On clicking on video2.jog or video3.jpg, iframe in <div id="media-content"> is replaced with this clicked image. And this is ok.
But i want to show vimeo movie <div id="media-content"> on click at iframe inside.
So it's simple content swap, but the problem is, that i don't know how "transfer" vimeo iframe do another div, as clicking on it does nothing.
Thank You for any reply.
PS: To address this question, i send image, it shows 3 red spans and one big green div. CLicking on span should set his attr (in this case img).And this work, problem is,that clicking on vimeo span should open video in green div.enter image description here
When the browser loads/makes ready the DOM then iframe isn't included instantly. For the shake javascript or jquery canot get the inside element of the iframe as DOM haven't it, rather javascript or jquery only get the iframe tag.This is a critical and great problem with jquery & iframe when iframe load thing from different domain/host.
You can also get the iframe element by getting the span with jquery. But for this you have to give the 3rd span a a div and have to click on the div not on the iframe content to get desired solution.
<script src="https://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.10.2.js"></script>
<div id="media-content">
<iframe src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/1271?api=1" width="100%" height="400" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen>
</iframe>
</div>
<div class="media-list" id="media-list">
<span> <?php echo $this->Html->image('placeholder/video2.jpg');?> </span>
<span> <?php echo $this->Html->image('placeholder/video3.jpg');?> </span>
<span >
<div style="border: 1px solid red; z-index:3;width:80px;height:80px;padding:30px;">
<iframe src="https://player.vimeo.com/video/127561?api=1" width="100%" height="100%" frameborder="0" webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen allowfullscreen></iframe>
</div>
</span>
</div>
<script>
$(document).ready(function () {
var media = $('#media-list img');
var mediaContainer = $('#media-content');
$(media).on('click',function(e){
var vals = $(this).parent().html();
$(mediaContainer).html(vals);
e.preventDefault();
console.log (e.target);
});
var media2 = $('#media-list div');
$(media2).on('click',function(e){
var vals = $(this).html();
$(mediaContainer).html(vals).height("70%").width("70%");
e.preventDefault();
console.log (e.target);
});
});
</script>
The page will display an image's url text correctly. But I am not sure how to assign the message to the img 's src to display the image.
<DIV class="msgStyle1" id="message">Waiting for image</DIV>
<div class="imgStyle1" id="message">
<img src=whatneedtogohere /></div>
function displayText(text) {
console.log(text);
document.getElementById("message").innerHTML=text;
window.castReceiverManager.setApplicationState(text);
};
Fixed HTML (switched classes and IDs to make IDs unique) and added an image ID for simplicity:
<div id="msgStyle1" class="message">Waiting for image</div>
<div id="imgStyle1" class="message">
<img src="" id="image" />
</div>
JS:
document.getElementById('image').src = 'http://yourImagePathHere';
See it work here: http://jsfiddle.net/N3rCm/
First off, you shouldn't have multiple Id's on the page, it'll mess with your JS.
Next I would give your image a class if you can
//jquery example of what you would do
var imgSrc = 'http://wherever/youre/getting/this/from';
$('.myimageclass').attr('src', imgSrc);
//non jquery
var myImg = document.getElementsByClassName('myimageclass')[0]; //assuming it's the first one
//or if you can uniquely identify it
var myImg = document.getElementById('imgId');
myImg.src = imgSrc;
How to show/hide big image by clicking on thumbnails?
I need like this
Try with JSFiddle here http://jsfiddle.net/jitendravyas/Qhdaz/
Is it possible with CSS only. if not then jQuery solution is OK.
An is it good to use <a href=#"> even it's not opening any new page in same or new tab.
Edit:
I forgot to add. it should work on iPad too
See this example:
No preloading
HTML:
<div id="big-image">
<img src="http://lorempixel.com/400/200/sports/1/">
</div>
<div class="small-images">
<img src="http://lorempixel.com/100/50/sports/1/">
<img src="http://lorempixel.com/100/50/fashion/1/">
<img src="http://lorempixel.com/100/50/city/1/">
</div>
Javascript (jQuery)
$(function(){
$(".small-images a").click(function(e){
var href = $(this).attr("href");
$("#big-image img").attr("src", href);
e.preventDefault();
return false;
});
});
Currently only 1 big image, when clicking on an A, the href of the A is copied as SRC of the big image.
Live example: http://jsfiddle.net/Qhdaz/1/
If you wan't to do it without the extra DOM progressing, you can add 3 big images, and load them directly. The above solution does not preload the images, the below function will.
With preloading
HTML:
<div id="big-image">
<img src="http://lorempixel.com/400/200/sports/1/">
<img src="http://lorempixel.com/400/200/fashion/1/">
<img src="http://lorempixel.com/400/200/city/1/">
</div>
<div class="small-images">
<img src="http://lorempixel.com/100/50/sports/1/">
<img src="http://lorempixel.com/100/50/fashion/1/">
<img src="http://lorempixel.com/100/50/city/1/">
</div>
Javascript:
$(function(){
$("#big-image img:eq(0)").nextAll().hide();
$(".small-images img").click(function(e){
var index = $(this).index();
$("#big-image img").eq(index).show().siblings().hide();
});
});
