Hi I am almost new on titanium, iPhone and JS development,
I don't know how to call a function from one .js to another .js in tab group.
I have a callback in app.js and i want to call a function from another .js in tab group.
How can i do it?
Thank you
you can do two things :
1> you can pass that function to a window from where you can call that function.
2> you can use custom addEventListener to call from another window like below.
app.js
function test(){
alert('Hello from Function');
Ti.App.addEventListener('callTest',test);
}
===================
another.js
Ti.App.fireEvent('callTest');

I found several plugins that crops the image, but doesn't have the uploading function.
Here are those plugins:
TMatthew JWindowCrop
imgAreaSelect
So, how do I put the uploading function on JavaScript, I heard you can use it as a "Server-Side Language" (node.js) or should I use a different language like PHP?
Try JCrop, files for download contains sample php script to get you started and many samples here on stack.

Questions concerning problems with code you've written must describe the specific problem — and include valid code to reproduce it — in the question itself. See SSCCE.org for guidance.

In my phonegap application i like to call this function, where i should this piece of code whether inside the receiver or inside third party plugin

You have no reason to call this function.
You should be aware that GCMRegistrar is deprecated. In addition, the getRegisterOnServerLifespan wasn't very useful even when it wasn't deprecated.
BTW, that method has nothing to do with the question that the answer in your link was supposed to answer. It returns an arbitrary time period after which the registration ID is considered expired, while the question was about expiration of the API key.

Because of browser related issues (ie, the view being different), I have two versions of a script. one that works on everything but IE, and one I wrote specifically to accomodate IE.I found this other script that detects what browser someone is using when they access a website. I was wondering, if there was anyway i could:
1.run this browser detect script FIRST to determine the boolean for IE/not IE
2. then, determining on this value, run one script or the other?
So... What's stopping you from doing:
var IE = checkBrowserFunction;
if(IE) {
doStuff();
}
? I mean, that seems fairly simple.

I am having a hard time getting it to work at all. I'm sure it's something simple but I can't figure it out. I have the file saved as index.html, I have uploaded to my FTP server along with my jquery.js file, and the roundabout files. I have them linked in my index.html file, with the unordered list and the stylesheet. But for some reason it displays the unordered list without the effect of the jquery roundabout.
Here is a screenshot of my code
Here is the website
Please help!
You need to reference the jQuery library before any jQuery code.
If you hit Ctrl+Shift+J, you can see the error in the console.

want these things when a function call :
1.Open a text file (not visible to user)
2.Select a Text which is to be change
3.change the text
4.And save it at same place.
This is not possible in JavaScript. JavaScript is sandboxed by the browser and doesn't have access to the local computer.
Also, what you're trying to do sounds dodgy, and may well be the exact reason why it's sandboxed.
