call jquery function after page load not working - Firefox extension - javascript

I've been working on Create Firefox extension. i can inject some js file for all webpages. this function works fine.

I want to call my function after script loads. my function call working fine but my inner function script are in jquery its not working.
Main Problem : I want count current page img tags using jquery
Please advise

To interact with the page in addon-sdk, you have to use a content script. and you can use jquery on those, but not the way are using it. See Content Scripts

How to enable touch events on pjax library?

I am developing a site where I use Pjax library (a port of jquery pjax). However the touch events don't go through. I am using Pjax like so:

I found the solution, it works by redirecting touch event to click event like this:

How can i load a function that starts from loadstart to loadstop in inAppBrowser

I am loading a pdf from google drive in cordova inappbrowser. I want to hide the sign in button. I call this code at my loadstop and it works.

But the issue is that the button appears for 1 or 2 seconds. I don't want that. I used the executeScript as well to hide the button element but it doesn't work for some reason. Can any1 help me here? I am taking help from here but I can't seem to get it right. Any ideas?

Using JQuery on a window reference?

Can you use JQuery on a window reference? I have tried the following with no luck.

The answer is.... kinda. it depends on what you are doing.
You can use jquery on the parent page to interact with a page within an iframe, however, anything that requires working with the iframe's document object may not work properly because jQuery keeps a reference of the document it was included on and uses it in various places, including when using document ready handlers. So, you can't bind to the document ready handler of the iframe, however you can bind other event handlers, and you can listen for the iframe's load event to know when it is absolutely safe to interact with it's document.
It would be easier though to just include jquery within the iframe itself and use it instead. It should be cached anyway, so there's no real detriment to performance by doing so.

div with an id wont accept any event handlers JavaScript. No Jquery

Im trying to pause a timed slideshow when you're hovering over a div

If i put onMouseOver="clearTimeout(playTime)" inside an li on the page, it'll pause, so I know my code is correct, it just wont work on the div! Also if i get rid of the id, it will alert when i put an alert function into an event handler

This issue is related to the script loading. Your script gets loaded after the DOM is processed so function doesn't get attached to the event.
If you are using jQuery then you can use below code.

I got it! the div tag was somehow broken, I coded a div around it and gave it the event handlers and a class. That worked, then i simply changed the class to an id and got rid of the original div. Idk what was going on but it works now. Thanks for your suggestions!

Changing erik vold toolbarbutton image on the fly

I'm trying to make a firefox extension with the SDK. (if I can avoid XUL i'm happy)
I'm using erik vold toolbarbutton
But I need to change the toolbar image on the fly.
My lib/main.js (background page) is :

also be sure to update with this fix https://github.com/voldsoftware/toolbarbutton-jplib/pull/13/files
there is a setIcon method and a image setter that you can use to update the toolbar button's image
