Remove starting "0" values from Highcharts series array - javascript
I have following generated JavaScript-Code to display a chart with HighCharts:

The problem is now that I want to remove all the "0" values from the beginning of the TaskDuration series array.
I try to set the values in the array to 'null':

But Highcharts still display the values in the chart.
How to prevent this behavior?
I also try to remove all values from the array until a value which is not "0". But with this approach the "startingUTC" is wrong. Maybe I have also to recalculate this value...

You need to remove elements not to set null, use this to remove zero element from array:

The problem is that you're using pointStart and pointInterval.
PointInterval will ignore your null points and will add points to the yAxis.
So, remove it.

Highcharts bar chart wont animate
Not sure why because I have done it in the past, but I have a Highcharts bar chart and it won't animate. It looks like it plays an important role if you provide your data at chart initialization or after. It looks like highcharts skips animation if dataset is not initial and is treated incompatible. However if you really want to have animation in your current plant (chart first workflow) you can achieve that by initializing first serie with zeros and then with the real data. How to update Highcharts data dynamically over a period of time
I want to use Highcharts graph and update y axis dynamically. Actually I want to update nsw, Tas, ACT every 5 sec. How do I do it ? The easiest way to do it would be to use the javascript function "setInterval()" to call it. Add start-date and end-date as a Xaxis label in highchart
I use date as a string in my chart. How can I use my start-date and end-date string variables as a label in my xAxis? start-date = '10.02.2013' end-date = '10.05.2013' The code and the chart image is attached. Yes, this is possible with the renderer method. See this basic example. chart.renderer.text('10.02.2013', 0, 300) .attr({ rotation: 0 }) .css({ color: '#4572A7', fontSize: '16px' }) .add(); You are going to need to pay attention to the x/y locations (the 2 other params) to place it correctly. You can also modify the text styling.

If your mean that the start and end dates need to tie to edges, you must specify xAxis settings in config xAxis: { categories: categoriesArray } where categoriesArray is array like this: ['10.02.2013', '', '', '', '', '', '', '', '', '', '', '10.05.2013'] It should be the same lenght as your lenght of series data. You can also use labelFormatter and http://api.highcharts.com/highcharts#xAxis.labels.formatter and check if labels isFirst or isLast then use your dates, in other cases return proper value (like number).

Corresponding Y-Values are "260" and "0". How to create a simple line with these to points in HighCharts? Maybe Highcharts is able to do a linear regression on the fly?! I have found this demo but I do not know how to pass correctly X-Values in the Date format.
Highcharts doesn't calculate any type of regression or trend lines. In example you have posted, data is calculated before, and Highcharts just displays that. However there is known plugin for trendline: https://github.com/virtualstaticvoid/highcharts_trendline
