Search Result - Drag and Drop - javascript

I am trying to develop an application that I can use to save all the links I get when I search something using a drag and drop feature. I am trying to keep it simple by just sticking to HTML, JavaScript.
To make it clearer when I search in Google, I can drag the url into a text area but the text does not come with it. Please ignore my ignorance and help!
Thanks
Dias

If you populate a div with the elements you want you can use many frameworks to make drag and drop simple. Have a look at these links for a bit of inspiration:

Sortable Multi Column Drag and Drop without Library

I am looking to implement a sortable (ordering) drag and drop between columns as well as in column. I looked all over internet to find any example that does not use a library for it. I'd love to implement it in VueJS, however, any examples are welcome.
It should basically function like JIRA, where you have TODO and IN PROGRESS columns for example, you can order them by priority in the column itself, or move it to another column.
The reason, why I do not want to use any library is because I want to build my own complex functionalities. I also do not wanna fork existing github libraries to modify them. I'd love any suggestions!
Doing a simple search with the following keywords: creating drag and drop feature "without" library javascript pure I was able to find this links:
Building drag and drop feature in react for react applications
Building drag and drop feature with pure javascript
Useful tip
If you don't know surrounding some keyword in a google search with quotes forces google to only show results with that word in specific

How to implement Facebook's `Drag Links/Photos Here`?

I just noticed that if you drag anything on facebook, no matter it's a link, or image, or pure text, the update status part changes to a box saying Drag Links/Photos Here. I'm wondering how to implement this functionality? Or in other words, how to detect that the cursor is dragging and do any subsequent change of a particular element on the webpage?
Perhaps HTML5? The following links should help you understand how to implement drag and drop with html5. You might also want to check the second link which implements drag "anything".

what you could do is in the drag function that Mike linked just add JavaScript to change what you want. something here might help.

Multilevel menu administration using js drag an drop

I'm looking for some input on a certain element of a project I'm developing. I want to include multilevel menus that easily manageable in the back end. I really like the structure wordpress uses in their back end to let users create menu's intuitively by dragging the menu items around. I'm looking for a bit of guidance with the multilevel part. I have made sortable lists before using jquery ui, but I'm a bit lost on the multilevel functionality (the js part)
I'd appreciate any input (plugins, examples, concepts) on this.
Thanks.
jsTree is a plugin designed to do this. It's a good bet that there are others -- try searching the jQuery plugins.

Radiobutton Tree Control

I am developing a search form which displays a number of categories and sub-categories. The client has requested that I do not use cascading dropdowns but to display radiobuttons instead so that the user can see the top level categories at a glance.
I had a bit of a look around for any javascript plugins that might give me a head start and save me from having to write all of the code from scratch but didnt come up with too much.
Can anyone suggest a good plugin that will allow me to display a radio button list in a hierarchical collapsible tree structure?
Cheers,
Tristan
Solution
I ended up using this plugin and adapting it to my own needs -> http://code.google.com/p/checkboxtree/
There is a great jQuery plugin called jsTree.

I personalize it for my needs as well.

jQuery slidebar for searchbox?

I'm currently working on a search box for my site that will hopefully use a slide-bar instead of tabs to conduct the search. Users will enter a search query and instead of choosing from the conventional tabs above the box, they will have the option to search based on the position of the slider (ie. a "stronger" or "weaker" range of search). Does that make sense?
Anyway, has anyone come across a plugin to help me build such a slide? jQuery? Ajax? CSS? Not sure how to go about it. Has anyone any experience or ideas with what I'm trying to achieve?
Let me know what you think, and if you need me to elaborate on anything :)
Thanks, David
jQuery UI has a Slider control that you could use for this.
You can see from the demo's on the page that there are numerous different ways that you can use this, look at the "Snap to Increments" demo. You could use this method and snap it to "weak", "strong", "very strong" etc?
