I have a field that autocompletes on person name, so it has options like "Obama, Barack", "Lincoln, Abe", etc.
These people also have additional attributes, say "Birthplace" and "Phone number". When a user picks an option from the autocomplete, I would like that person's additional attributes to automatically populate hidden form fields.
The web service that supplies the autocomplete options also knows everyone's birthplace and phone number, so it could send this data to the client. However, the jQuery autocomplete plugin I'm using doesn't accept any additional data like this -- you can only give it the autocomplete options.
Any thoughts on how to do this?

I'm not familiar with the autocomplete plugin but: Why not download all the data from the server and then only feed the autocomplete what it needs. I.e.

I believe the auto-complete plug-in allows for callback functions. You could populate the hidden fields based on the users selection in that function.

after hours of searching for a solution, I've decided to ask my first question on stackoverflow.
Our application uses pdf-lib (https://www.npmjs.com/package/pdf-lib) to modify existing PDFs, e.g. add images. We're now looking for a way to ad signature form fields to the PDF as well.
With pdf-lib, it is possible to add a bunch of form fields, except for signature fields. It is possible to get them (https://pdf-lib.js.org/docs/api/classes/pdfform#getsignature), but unlike other fields, there's no create method (e.g. https://pdf-lib.js.org/docs/api/classes/pdfform#createtextfield).
I've digged deeper in the code, and found access to the PDFForms AcroForm (https://pdf-lib.js.org/docs/api/classes/pdfform#acroform). It's possible to add fields with it, but I wasn't able to create the correct Field beforehand (in my opinion it has to be PDFSignature or PDFAcroSignature).
I found out that other fields like PDFAcroText have create methods

I looked for other js libs that provide the possibility to add signature form fields, but I wasn't able to find the answer to this - except for pay to use libs like pdfjs.express.
Assuming that they are capable of adding such fields, there must be a way to do this!

The Acrobat PRO itself doesn't have an option to put a straight "Signature" field. You may "request" a signature, but only using Adobe's services, and an email is required.
If you plan to add a signature by the code, take a look at their "Fill Form" example. They put an image on top of a Button field, but an Image field also works.

This function buttonBuzz() works inside the Forms of the Entities Account, Contacts and Leads. But not in the Opportunity form.
Mainly because there is no telephone1 attribute. There is however a Contact entity added with "Quick View" in a section with a telephonenumber inside.
I think it can be accessed with the telephone1 as well just not with Xrm.page
Any ideas how i can grab the attribute from inside the "quick view"?
I dont know if the "Quick view" window is a form of an iFrame. And if it is i have no clue how to access it with the Xrm.Page.getAttribute("telephone1").getValue();

Quick Views display data from a record selected in a lookup field, in this case a Contact. You can query data from related records using the OData endpoint.
You first need to get the Guid of the record selected:

As well as your JavaScript file, you would need to include the SDK.REST.js file that is included in the MS CRM SDK download within your Opportunity form libraries.
You can pull that field up from the Contact into the Opportunity by creating a Calculated Field, setting it equal to parentcontactid.telephone1
Put the field on the form, and you'll be able to .getAttribute() it like any other Opportunity field (being Calculated, it updates itself whenever the source changes).
I am rewriting an app that uses html, js and php into angular with rest php. I came across an issues regarding filters. In the actual form i have dropdowns that are populated ajax by js from php. The config in the js is made something like

How it currently works with js:
I instantiate an object, called form and in that form i configure all my elements. Dropdowns, field validations etc.
After i configure (the configuration means that i say for a dropdown where to take the value from the server, what is the default value etc), for a validation i say what's the rule (it's mandatory, it's decimal).
And then when i run a function on the form object i go for each dropdown and populate it, add events validate the inputs etc.
I would like to know if i can and if yes, how, to build something like this in angular. To give to a service let's say a set of rules, something like:
['user_id', http_request:'server.com/api/populate/user_id', default_Value:1] and then i get the dropdown for users populated with the values. I don't know how to explain it better.
I am having an issue with jQuery autocomplete. Basically I have a search bar, and when you type in what you're looking for the jQuery code I have calls a php script which does a MySQL query and returns everything I need and fills in the text boxes accordingly. What I then want to do is take the value I receive from that autocomplete, and use it in another autocomplete to fill in more data. The tricky part is that the data I need to get with the 2nd query is located in a different table than the first query, which share a relationship. My question is do I need a completely separate function to do this, or can I simply put both queries in the 1 php script and have the information from the first query be used for my 2nd query.

So when the user types in "New York" they can can select that option. In my example New York has an ID of 5. I also have a query that selects different streets in new york but this is in a separate table. in my streets table however, there is a "LocationID" column that for every street in new york will have a value of 5. So I want to take that ID of 5 when a user enters in new york and generate all the streets from a different table which also have that ID. I have tried multiple things in terms of creating a new function but I am just unsure of how I would pass that ID to the function.

You can use one PHP script for this. Here's about what I'd think the basic structure will look like:
Pass two values to "location_query.php". The first value would be the name of the table that you want to query. The second value could be the selection result from the auto-complete text box.
Create a prepared statement in "location_query.php" from the two values that were passed to "location_query.php".
Perform your query.
JSON encode the result (just like you did before).
I'd also like to point out a security concern with your code. You should be using Mysqli and prepared statements instead of PHP's MySQL and mysql_real_escape_string. mysql_real_escape_string has been shown to have security deficiencies that can lead to security breaches and PHP's MySQL class has been deprecated. Mysqli and Prepared statements are much safer, and, in my opinion, provide for cleaner code since it allows for the separation of the SQL and the parameters.

EDIT: I think I understand what you're trying to do now, but I think there's a better way to go about doing it. Instead of assigning the id value to a hidden field and trying to have jquery detect every time that field is changed, I would just do the following:
For your first text box's select method:

Here's what's going on:
We define a custom function to be called when the first text box has a new item selected. This functions only purpose is to call a GET on "location_query.php".
Then, we pass the value of the selected field from the first text box via our GET call.
We then create a function to be called when GET returns.
Finally, we parse the encoded JSON that is returned by "location_query.php". After that, you can perform whatever tasks you need with the parsed JSON (mJSON in our example).
Taking this approach keeps us from having to worry about "listening" for a value change in our hidden ID field and makes everything nice and clean.
I have an address selection screen. Address data are coming from server. Data covers these values:
Id = Address Id,
Address = Address itself,
TypeCode = 1 or 2 (1 is shipping, 2 is billing address),
IsDefault = boolean (is this default address)
I map these data in two arrays. One of them contains shipping addresses and the other one billing addresses.
I have couple of problems.
I can't set default addresses when server data comes.
When I want to set a new address I click another radio button. When I do that I gave two address id's in "selectedShippingAddress" loop. I think this is not the right way to do this.

You are using checked binding wrong way. It doesn't point to property of object which should be selected, it points to observable which has ID of selected object. i.e.: checked: $parent.selectedShippingAddres and selectedShippingAddres = ko.observable();. Now when you populate your data in updateAddresses you can check and save the default ID:
